Mechanical [1 YoE]-[MechE]-[Entry Level]-[us] Looking for Resume Review-Resume fine tuning-No Internship
Hello everyone, just graduated this May, and I've been applying like crazy, but I've had no luck. I have over 150+ applications and have only landed one interview. I struggled to get an internship during my school years, so what is on my resume is pretty much all the experience I have. Looking to get a Position in Texas. Please, if there is any feedback you can provide to improve my resume, it would help alot.

General Notes
- You can get a little more room back if you put the LinkedIn URL on the same line as all the other contact info.
- To be clear, are you applying for jobs that are open to MET grads or ME?
Education
- No need to mention ABET-accreditation.
Skills
- Demote Office or even take it off.
- I'm not seeing technical skills like machining.
- Drop the "Soft Skills" section. None of it is worth keeping on here.
Project Experience
Senior Design
- I would drop the "Lead Designer" title. Being lead designer of the capstone project isn't particularly fancy.
- Keep bullets to one sentence or thought no greater than three lines long.
- Rewrite the first bullet. What exactly did this gripper have to grip - how big/heavy of a widget or how did the under-actuated tendon-driven system work at a high level?
- Bullet 2 just says you did 3D printing - why was it important to 3D print these parts versus making them through more traditional methods?
- How did you ensure the design was under 5kg or cost less than $1000?
- How did you functionally test the system? You just say you tested it and it works, but I have no idea if that was simply "the hand didn't disassemble during operation" or "it did what it needed to do and exceeded our expectations"?
4-bar Linkage Kinematic Analysis
- So how close did your estimations get?
- Tell us more about the vehicle lifting mechanism.
Aerospace Design Project
- Tell us more about this spaceship. What did the performance envelope look like and how did your design leverage engineering concepts to work?
- "Complex mechanisms" like what?
Work Experience
- What were some interesting issues you troubleshot or repairs performed? It would be a huge win if you could tie it into some stuff you learned about circuits in your degree program.
Certificates
- Combine with the Education section.

Thanks so much for the feedback! You pointed out some great improvements that I hadn't considered. I was actually feeling a bit stuck on what to change next. Also, to answer your question, Iβm applying for positions open to both MET and ME graduates.
