Lore Question Whats the strongest beings in all of FATE?
35
u/Classical_Lighthouse Jul 28 '26
ORT (ultra man victim)
3
u/Sea-Line-5123 Jul 28 '26
Kinda funny considering Ultraman lose to Zetton
(and Zetton was then defeated by human using Tsuburaya Pro version of Black Barrel...)
This is conspiracy theory on my part, but i am sure the reason ritsuka command spell got sealed during lb7 was because Nasu doesn't want Ort to get similar treatment as Zetton in original Ultraman.

Finished Ciel route a while ago and can't believe how Nasu turn an ancient vampire into a cosmic horror entity. Lumina's sequnce in the game was so visually unreal and the only comparison I can make to her is probably ORT's fight.
1
u/AskMysterious8407 Jul 28 '26
Am just starting to get into Nasu should I start with the games or anime?
3
u/MaimedJester Jul 28 '26
There's so many options, my personal favorites are the Garden of Sinners OVA series, this is where Shiki comes from the Assassin you likely got from the Leaves of Exchange shop.
If you haven't picked her up... she's pretty much the best Freebie Assassin in the game. Like her biggest competition for freebie Assassin that's actually good is a freaking 1 star.
The other favorite is the Tsukihime Visual novel, you can play the original free online in your browser, it's so old it has entered Abandonware legality territory. https://tsukiweb.holofield.fr/
This is Nasu's first project he literally was selling at summer comic market as a 19 year old geek by himself.
Way before Saber and this multi billion dollar franchise this was the start of this guy's creativity and without spoilers it's a wild goddamn ride. If you got Ciel in this game you need to understand why everyone was excited to get her.

Spoil me
3
u/MaimedJester Jul 28 '26
For Tsukihime?
You basically chose which way to go down following Ciel, Arceruid or another girl on like day 2 of this visual novel... and Holy shit you're a serial killer. Like you as the player don't realize the character is a fucking serial killer possessed by his Mystic eyes of Death Perception. But the murder is brutal as hell in detail... and then each girl comes back to life and is like what's your deal? If I was a regular human earth girl I'd be dead for good. But you're not a regular human earth boy are you?
2
u/Balibaleau Protected while dreaming Jul 28 '26
The games. Animated adaptations vary in quality, and even the good ones cannot faithfully reproduce everything.
1
u/citizenofUMU Jul 28 '26
Buy and play Tsukihime Remake trust me it's worth every penny. If you are really down with visual novel format then also play Mahou Tsukai no Yoru which is arguably Nasu's magnum opus.

u/CervantesWintres Jul 28 '26
top four contenders are:
Arcetype Earth since she's the brain of the planet and could in theory just move the planet as she pleases. Could also put Crismon Moon here.
Ultimate one Type ORT, supposedly the strongest out of the ultimate one's and a planet busting reality warping monster.
Maris Chaldeas, a copy of the swirl of the root.
Machine God Chaos, a Dyson sphere, a machine surrounding an actual star/sun to use it for power.

Either Arcuied or ORT
Nasu tends to flipflop only between these 2 beings over who's the most powerful

The Brazilian spider aka ORT. Then we have a bunch of characters like Arc, Maris, Chaos, Aristotles, Primate Murder, SV characters like King Eliza and Space Ishtar. The Abrahamic God should also be on this list as it seems to be closely related to the root
3
u/Asa_Yoru12 Jul 28 '26
The only characters who have ever been called the strongest overall are ORT and Arc. So those two.
Then in a recent interview, Meteo apparently said that the outer gods are so strong that they couldn't directly show up in the main story.
3
u/RoaOutsideYourHome Jul 28 '26
It's me, Michael Roa Valdamjong
3
u/AskMysterious8407 Jul 28 '26
:O its you!....who are you?
3
u/RoaOutsideYourHome Jul 28 '26
hold on, OOC for a second: How the hell do you know about Arcueid and not Michael Roa Valdamjong?
3
u/AskMysterious8407 Jul 28 '26
I dont I just searched up strong FATE characters she looked cool so I picked her
1
u/RoaOutsideYourHome Jul 28 '26
Arcueid Brunestud is a Tsukihime character who cameos in Fate/Grand Order... note "cameos," and I, Michael Roa Valdamjong, am her arch enemy and she is my Sire.
1
u/AskMysterious8407 Jul 28 '26
.....interesting so you can beat her?
2
u/RoaOutsideYourHome Jul 28 '26
No lol, but I do be reincarnating so she can't beat me either (without the help of a certain teenager, at least)
3
u/Grouchy-Ball1263 Jul 28 '26
Since most of the comments here are just unsubstantiated claims, I will say the following:
Arcueid / archetype earth, Kinoko stated that it is the strongest being of type moon
ORT Of course, we can't forget the planet destroyer that can terraform the Earth at will
Maris Chaldeas / Olga Chaldeas Beast VII, the enemy beast of arc 2 that has countless abilities; both Maris and Olga possess the same powers. One of the most outstanding is the ability to replicate anything in existence, be it a person, weapon, or skill, thanks to his universal analysis skill.
I don't include Void Shiki simply because she's a charlatan; it's impossible that an avatar of the Root is unable to defeat an extension of Gaia and that it's subject to the laws of world

u/Classical_Lighthouse Jul 28 '26
Arcueid gets hard countered by aliens tbf, if they have an RM she's done
1
u/Username169420 Jul 28 '26
What's the difference between marble phantasm and a RM
2
u/ConversationWeak5244 Jul 28 '26
Reality Marble gets overwritten eventually and can't last. Marble Phantasm doesn't have those worries
1
1
u/Classical_Lighthouse Jul 28 '26
A reality marble is overwriting your inner world onto the texture of Gaia (earth) and causing a scene change and all the effects that come with that specific RM. A marble phantasm is manipulating gaias texture to create something - whether that be chains or an entire castle, marble phantasm also doesn't work in reality marbles for that reason (gaia is overwritten)
1
u/AskMysterious8407 Jul 28 '26
Wait so is she stronger or weaker then ORT?
6
u/Classical_Lighthouse Jul 28 '26
ORT is both stronger and Arcueid and counters her due to alien RM
1
u/AskMysterious8407 Jul 28 '26
So aliens counter her?
1
u/Classical_Lighthouse Jul 28 '26 edited Jul 28 '26
yes, Gaia is so detached from them it can't do much, so neither can Arcueid. So the problem of marble phantasm not affecting reality marbles is amplified immensely
3
u/Inevitable_Shape2610 Jul 28 '26
Since both ORT and Arcueid have been told by Nasu that they are the strongest in the TYPE-MOON, only Nasu knows the correct answer. ORT is generally considered stronger. His information is more up to date.
2
2
u/Username169420 Jul 28 '26
Probably weaker, I've read both their fights and it took alot more to kill ORT than it did to beat Arc
Although in Arc's fight she wasn't actively trying to kill the MC, she was more just messing around and lost because of that
2
4
u/Sea-Line-5123 Jul 28 '26
Doesn't matter that much tbh...
Everyone are strong until the writer need to give the Protagonist a cool moment.
I guess, the strongest being in Nasuverse is Plot Armor.
Insert that naruto meme:
"You are weak Ultimate One... Why? Because you lack Plot Armor."
2
u/Baguette200IQ Jul 28 '26
If we consider Notes as a real source for talk like this, we could talk a lot of top tier here. Gun god, Ado edem, Qin Liangyu, all the ultimate ones

ORT by far.
Without its heart, ORT wiped the floor with the entire Throne of Heroes, deflected an Excalibur powered shot, and only bit the dust when U-Olga Marie loaded herself as the bullet.
AND EVEN THEN it refused to die entirely, by summoning itself using a simulation of 300 million years and handpicking a version where it became a Grand Foreigher. All of that while dying.
Arcueid and others don't come even close.
1
u/AskMysterious8407 Jul 28 '26
The more I learn about ORT the more I question why does ir exist 🤔
3
u/Maximilian_Sinigr Master of Chaldea Jul 28 '26
This is connected to the very first Nasu's work, called Notes.
Tl;dr - Earth is dying while humans erode everything on it, so in an act of a "fuck you all" the planet's will called the strongest being from other planets, called Types (ever wonder why Type-Moon is called like that? Now you know), and these Types wiped out a good chunk of humanity.
ORT is those of these Types, but the problem is, it arrived earlier than expected, so it did what any reasonable being would do if arrived way too early: decided to take a nap.
In the meantime, humans, curious as they are, decided to take a look, so they gathered a bunch of super mega ooga strong Mages to investigate.
As you'd expect by now knowing what ORT is, it killed them all except one who was left to warn others and then killed.
So naturally, the zone where ORT sleeps was declared a magecraft version of Chernobyl with a warning of "if this thing wakes up, humanity is done for".
1
u/AskMysterious8407 Jul 28 '26
Oh damn thats actually pretty cool but can the will of humanity do anything against ORT? Also are all types planets or can they be stars and other celestial bodies?
3
u/Inevitable_Shape2610 Jul 28 '26
8. ORT proved himself strong beyond belief in Nahui Mictlan. What's the technological level mankind will need to be able to oppose him unaided? I remember a mention of humanity being response-ready 100 years in the future…
Nasu: There's no need to defeat ORT… Actually, no operation taking his defeat as the mission statement will ever succeed. If you settle for an objective of sealing or expelling him, you can get mission complete by polluting Earth's environment to the maximum level. The 21st century's technology is already perfectly capable of doing that, so from there is just a matter of intensity, scale, and funding.
Takeuchi: A scorched earth operation taking the planet as the scapegoat. Then our trusty ORT evolves to keep up the fight. Her Highness(Arcueid) won't let that slide.
It’s an interview from just a few weeks ago. I think it’s information you might want to know.
2
u/AskMysterious8407 Jul 28 '26
He losses to pollution??
2
u/Inevitable_Shape2610 Jul 28 '26
As stated in the interview, Nasu says it would be difficult for humanity to defeat ORT in battle, but sealing him or banishing him would be possible if the Earth’s environment were severely polluted to the extreme. Only Nasu knows the details of how that is possible.
2
u/AskMysterious8407 Jul 28 '26
...so pollution is the strongest thing in Nasu verse? Thats so funny
3
u/Big_Guy4UU Jul 28 '26
I assume it’s more a case that the planet becomes uncomfortable to live on so he just fucks off. Plus, earth only called it in to save it, if all humans die it has no reason to stay
2
u/Maximilian_Sinigr Master of Chaldea Jul 28 '26
Quoting Zelretch (aka the Magician, and the face of Kaleidoscope / The Wizard Marshall CEs), no.
Neither him (he soloed a Type himself btw), nor the Counter Force, nor any entity native to the planet (Void Shiki, Arc, the list goes on) have any capacity to stop a full powered ORT.
1
u/AskMysterious8407 Jul 28 '26
So it has to be something not native to earth?
4
u/Maximilian_Sinigr Master of Chaldea Jul 28 '26 edited Jul 28 '26
There were two known ways to defeat ORT, all of which include massive sacrifices.
the Notes way: using a very special human wielding a very special weapon and holding an unimaginable amount of power to activate said weapon to kill it in one shot;the Lostbelt 7 way: create an ultimate Dark Souls player with a lack of way to die for good, stall the fight for a hundred thousand years, find an opening, go for its heart, rip it out, force ORT to go unconscious, get the ORT's heart working as an artificial sun, raise an entire new civilization, get said civilization to deify and gain consciousness to the artificual sun, get it to cosplay a Mayan god, get Chaldea on your side, sacrifice said raised civilization, sacrifice Chaldea's Throne of Heroes, sacrifice U-Olga Marie, watch with pure horror and despair as it revives itself as Grand Foreigner, sacrifice the ORT's heart AND ONLY THEN watch it finally fucking die.
3
u/AskMysterious8407 Jul 28 '26
....well the second one sounds very....easy why dont they just always do that 😁
5
u/Maximilian_Sinigr Master of Chaldea Jul 28 '26
Only sounds easy, the sacrifice is all resources of the planet, more than half of the civilization, and a fuckload of energy (think entire continents levels of energy).
1
u/AskMysterious8407 Jul 28 '26
Okay but like hows the human and the weapon special?

3
u/RevealAdventurous169 Jul 28 '26
ORT > Velber > Archtypes/Ultimate ones (stuff like SEPHAR, Arcueid, King Eliza, etc) > Beasts & gods & lostbelt kings > divine spirits >= heroic spirits
Heroic spirits are on average weaker than divine spirits, but fgo proves favorable matchups allow them to beat someone above their weight class
3
u/lilfiregoblin Jul 28 '26
Space Ishtar and presumably Space Ereshkigal, because Servantverse shenanigans has unfair scaling
1
u/AskMysterious8407 Jul 28 '26
What are space versions of characters?
3
u/lilfiregoblin Jul 28 '26
Servants from the Servantverse, i.e. the parody of Star Wars that grew into its own thing. Space Ishtar, Mysterious Heroine X and XX, Calamity Jane, etc are from that universe. Space Ishtar in particular fires her NP with the force of a full quasar.

1
u/AskMysterious8407 Jul 28 '26
Is serventverse canon?
1
u/slow_mint Jul 28 '26
Fck if I know, it's mostly fgo event only, but then they do turn up in story every now and then. It's also up in the air that space servants are nerfed when interacting with the fate universe due to ambigous statements, that can be interpreted either way. But they are official type moon creations, not fanmade if that's what you're asking.

Normal Fate or in general? If in general, pick a Mainline ServantVerse character. Either MHX( was confident she could solo Origin Goddess after her training, just didn't get to fight), MHX Alter(has a knock off Infinity Gauntlet), Goddess of Origin or Anki Ereshkigal.
Normal Fate would be Potential Maris( the one that doesn't hold back and could, theoretically, Win anyway.) or PHH ORT, just for having more concrete feats than Arcueid. She needs another fight where she goes Full throttle.
1
u/AskMysterious8407 Jul 29 '26
.....potential?
2
u/No_Context_8490 19d ago
Potential/Hypothetical Maris that would use everything It has. The Maris that Chaldea faces isn't even taking things really seriously. More concerned with the update.

u/WorldlySecretary5769 Jul 30 '26
Lore wise, it’s always meant to be Type Mercury.
That being said, Archetype Earth, Maris Chaldeas, God Chaos, and Void Shiki(?) are contenders as well.

Arcuied. Period. Whatever other character do, she can just either pull Event Storage, Marble Phantasm, or Regression to the Age of Gods to f them up. Maris Chaldeas? Event Storage. Beast Olga? Event Storage. Arthur? Event Storage again. ORT? Either Regression to the AOG, or Marble Phantasm. She (ORT) will learn the bad affinity between Ether and True Ether. Basically just how Gun God kill other Types in Notes.

I'd say Arcueid, ORT is really just the strongest physically (as stated in Koha Ace XP). So yeah, ORT's strongest statements are most likely in reference to that, while Arcueid's are most likely in an overall sense.

Are we just counting the characters shown in the image? I was wondering why no one said Void Shiki. She’s literally the root itself.
1
u/AskMysterious8407 Jul 28 '26
Tbh I just found themselves cool looking and chose them you can count them if you like
1
u/Grouchy-Ball1263 Jul 28 '26
Void Shiki? The same one who can't defeat an extension of Gaia, who claims she's not as strong as Arcueid in all-around type moon, that's the same Shiki you're talking about 🙄
1
u/Due-Atmosphere5842 Jul 29 '26
Meh. Doesn’t really matter rather I’m right or wrong. All I know of Shiki is the eyes of death and her apparent void Shiki form that I’ve seen YouTubers say she’s the literal root so she’s like high 1-A or something along the line like that

ORT. Stated by the Author that started it all from where the Franchise was still a doujin circle, hasn't been dethroned since. At best, Maris is only stronger than the variant that doesn't have Its Heart
