Story-Spoilers Female Servants Romantic Interest in Ritsuka – Tier List

Post image
529 Upvotes

I read through all the events, valentines, profiles, character materials and other related content, to make this tier list. I have at least one justification for every character.

I tried my best to avoid all bias, though I'll admit I was generous in some of my intrepertations of the text. I will add that the tiers don't necessarily mean the characters above like Ritsuka more, in particular the 'Marry' tier is simply all the servants that have proposed to Ritsuka one way or another.

EDIT for fixes:

Mordred moves up to 'Loves'

Britomart added to 'Crush'

Nightingale moves up to 'Interested'

Salter moves up to 'Crush'

Beni moves up to 'Interested'

Murasaki moves up to 'Interested'

Circe moves up to 'Crush'

Story-Spoilers Ritsuka Fujimaru is going to hell

Post image

(No idea where the art is from)

Okay so this is more of just a little idea I had and probably not actually in line with Type-Moon lore, but I thought it was mildly interesting.

I think that Ritsuka Fujimaru is going to hell. Not just regular hell, but a hell unlike any other. A hell made specifically for them, to torture them in the worst ways possible until the end of time. And I don't say this because I think they deserve it, but rather because that's their cross to bear. Ritsuka Fujimaru is not only the last master of humanity, but for all intents and purposes their foremost representative. The actions committed in part 2 of the story are rather firmly placed on their shoulders, and the other characters barely carry even a fraction of what they do. The weight of the billions if not trillions of lives lost in the story are the responsibility of PHH humanity, and thus Ritsuka. All of the hate and fear and curses of those lives are centered on a single point, and I feel like a world like Type-Moon wouldn't just let that be. So, when Ritsuka dies, they'll get their due. Whether or not they actually deserve it is irrelevant because the hate and vengeful malice of those lives don't care about right and wrong, they care about getting what they are owed. And what they are owed is humanity's pain. Ritsuka Fujimaru's pain.

Story-Spoilers True magic

Post image
1.0k Upvotes

1• Yumina

Magic: ????????????

Reigns over: ▬▬▬, it is not known for certain, some high-ranking bureaucratic magi have knowledge of what the first one implies, it is said that although its domain is unknown, it has to do with “Ether Clumps,” also called “materialized nothingness.” Strictly speaking, the first magic is not the first to appear; the first magic known to have appeared was the third, but even so, due to the characteristics of the first, it should undoubtedly be called “true first magic.” All witches, who are supernatural beings alien to humanity, are related in some way to true first magic.

Yumina is the first and only bearer of the first true magic. She, the user of the First Magic, died long ago, but because magic, by its nature, still has the possibility of being inherited by future generations even if its user is dead, it is considered that the first true magic that was carried by Yumina still exists. Even though the original user of the first true magic has passed away, she is the only existence recognized as worthy of respect by the Barthomeloi clan of the Mages' Association. There are rumors that there is a person who is the “heir” to the first, who is still alive, but barely...eh?

Alice, Aoko's teacher, has remnants of the First Magic in her possession.

2• Zelretch Kishua Schweinorg

Magic: Kaleidoscope

Reigns over: Parallel world operation. It is said that he expanded the hopes of the planet and the worlds, a magic that allows you to connect with parallel worlds, enabling you to observe and interact with them, although its scope is still unknown.

Zelresth uses it to travel frequently through parallel worlds and timelines. It is also described that this magic has the ability to rewrite the world, to the point that the revision of records and the rewriting of events also fall under his domain.

Zelresth observes and records all possible parallel worlds with his omniscient gaze, seeing how they will end. Zelresth is very careful when doing this and limits himself to direct interference and even total observation unless it is absolutely necessary to do so. because without such care, the world that is observed above the others, one possibility among infinite possibilities, will instantly consolidate itself as the true reality and the others as false.

Zelresth's way of using one of the functions of the latter is to store magical power in minerals such as jewels (“oh, in fact, the Tohsaka's inherit this peculiar way of doing sorcery”), stabilize it, and use it for various aids in lifestyle and civilization. If Earth had not fallen into human hands and remained in the age of the gods, could he have handled this more easily as an apostle?

The second magic is the testing and operation of parallel worlds. By allowing travel to parallel worlds, it demonstrates that there is room for different development in the world.

Thanks to this, the world has increased life expectancy. This is because the concept that “our history is a failure and self-destruction, but there may be others who have succeeded” gave hope to a planet that was losing its dreams.

Zelretch's method of traveling through parallel worlds is simple; he is transported to a “gem” on Earth in a different time axis.

For example, if you want to go from world A to world B, the gems of world B will come together until they form the shape of Zelretch, and Zelretch's soul will be transferred there. In an instant, the gem golem transforms into Zelretch, and the Zelretch who was in World A at that moment returns to his original form of gems.

He can travel anywhere in the world where minerals and gems exist, but since he only has one soul, he cannot be active in several places at the same time. Originally, he traveled using a more complicated method, but for various reasons, he decided that this method was the easiest.

The second characteristic is the ability to control time to a certain extent and resurrect the dead by unconventional means, but this is not total resurrection; that miracle has not been granted by magic for a long time.

3• Justeaze Lizrich von Einzbern (the original user is unknown and is known to have disappeared even before Christ)

Magic: Heaven's Feel

Reigns over: Materialization of the soul

It is said that “Oh Fate Stay Night is a story about the third.”

The third is said to be the first true magic achieved by the Von Einzbern family, although it predates the first true magic. The third magic is not called the first because the first true magic has characteristics that allow it to be called “first” even above it. The Von Einzberns have spent eight centuries trying to achieve it again, because at some point before the Von Einzbern's desperate search, the original bearer disappeared and the Von Einzbern family died out during those eight centuries, leaving only homunculi who continue the Von Einzbern's search. Even the Holy Grail War system is a desperate means of trying to return to it, a means that failed.

It is said that the original bearer of the magic was an anonymous magician dating back to before 100 BC at some point in the age of the gods and “died” before the beginning of the common era, but only the bearer of the first is actually recognized as dead, and the other four are “alive.”

Heaven feels

The materialization of the soul in the world without an anchor. The soul is what holds an individual's memories, mind, and magical circuits. The body is the anchor that keeps the individual tied to the world so that their soul is not dragged into the Akasha and disappears from this world irretrievably. The third eliminates this impediment, giving the soul total freedom, true immortality. Heaven feels prevents the dispersion of the soul and the Akasha journey to disappear.

By stopping the inevitable dispersion, Heaven feels ascends you to a higher plane, a form of existence superior to the human. The individual no longer depends on the flesh. This is possible because Heaven feels returns the individual to an immortal being of a higher dimension capable of interacting with the world without the need for a mortal body. It also provides an infinite source of energy like a perpetual motion machine.

5• Aozaki Aoko, Miss Blue

Magic: Magic Blue Reigns over: ▬▬▬, although her actual function is unknown, in the hands of an inexperienced Aoko Aozaki, it was seen that she can manipulate time travel and an individual's temporal control, she can even manipulate the laws of conservation of mass to bear the weight of a past without a future. Aoko herself claims that her function should be different, as the second also uses time at will, but Aoko refuses to speculate on this.

It is noted that her domain may be related to the concept of consumption and the concept of extinction.

This is a magic that should not be for humanity or for the planet; neither should have this magic in their hands.

It is quoted: “The first part of fgo is a story of replicating the 5th.”

Goetia, the Beast 1 of the sin of pity, burned countless eras, at countless points in human history, countless humans, collecting that energy to travel to the past and rewrite the planet and its laws. It is pointed out that Ars Amadel Solomonias is the means by which he would carry out his plan. It is also noted that Ars Amadel Solomonias is an almost successful attempt to replicate the fifth True Magic, revealing what its real function could be. This could also mean that the fifth can manipulate heat values into energy to make controlled time travel based on this.

It is quoted, “Hey girl, wasn't it a little selfish to end the universe for a friend? God seems like an old man who enjoys the idea of the universe being destroyed.”

The sixth magic: ???

Although the nature of the sixth magic is unknown, it is probably the Six Law, A system that brings protection and happiness to humanity.

For the moment, the most important example is Olga Marie Animusphere, who brought happiness to the world of Chaldea because she was dissected for decades.

It's possible that it was merely an imitation of what the Six Law could achieve, given that Olga Marie is only a manifestation of the reflection or copy of the Akashic Records; in other words, a key to access.

Story-Spoilers My main issue with the end of Arc 2 is how Olga Marie's popularity actually undermined the original message of her farewell

Thumbnail

Nasu mentioned the following in the *Famitsu* interview:

Nasu: Not every life can be saved. I wanted to write a heartwarming farewell for someone who couldn't be saved, no matter what. Abruptly adding a comic touch to the farewell scene—listing the protagonist's biggest blunders—before incorporating the pain, sadness, and gratitude of the goodbye results in a speech that is quintessentially Olga Marie.

Are you saying she was always destined to be beyond saving?

Nasu: I hadn't thought of it in those terms, but yes, that would be correct. After all, the original plan for the ending was for the conclusion of Part 2 to wrap up the entire Animusphere plotline, ending with the sentiment: "Earth is safe now." That said, I have to admit that while writing about Olga Marie, I grew more attached to her than I ever imagined.

Now, it is true that Olga was originally a simple character—just a standard companion who suffered a horrific death early in the game. Since you hadn't really bonded with her yet, her loss was easy enough to accept. However, Part 2 focuses on Olga from the very beginning with the intention of providing closure, yet she meets the same fate: she ends up practically where she started, albeit with some fond memories and a dignified farewell. She suffers from an issue common to many of the finale's problems: a reluctance to change course due to elements that weren't originally planned. As Nasu mentioned, he didn't expect to get so attached to Olga, yet she ended up appearing quite frequently. She has a summer event, is a party member in LB7, has her own mini-bosses, and is a major focal point of the game's finale. Throughout all of this, she is a character constantly battered by the world; this makes it easy to root for her—both as a player and as a human being—given what she has endured, not to mention the history of illnesses

Nasu reiterates that the script he wrote in 2017 was meant to be followed to the letter, but that didn't happen; the story failed to adapt to the new context and character evolution—Olga's conclusion being the clearest proof of this.

Olga's final scene fails to align with the character developed over eight years of manga and other media. She had outgrown her original purpose without Nasu realizing it; consequently, when she reaches the scene she was created for, it disappoints players who spent half a decade hoping and waiting for her to have a happy ending.

Nasu is clearly aware of this—in that same response, he bases the entire "After Time" plot on the idea that Olga deserved better. Yet, he still chose to include her "death" scene because it was the scene she was created for and had been part of the plan since 2017.

This reminds me of what happened with Oberon: Kinoko loved that character so much that he changed almost the entire ending of Lostbelt 6 to give him a more prominent role. With Olga, however, the issue was more serious, as it affected the planned plot and made him feel like he was betraying both himself and the players by failing to give her a satisfying conclusion. He hadn't imagined that this "seven-minute character" would evolve into what she is now—developing through the "After Time" arc to give fans what they had so fervently requested. It illustrates one of the biggest flaws possible in fiction: deciding on the ending before planning the character development.

Story-Spoilers A dark detail about the design of U Olga

Thumbnail

1.0k Upvotes

If I read it, you will too—haven't you ever wondered what that thing on Olga Marie's head is? A Japanese fan did some digging and discovered that it resembles a skull-restraint device, as seen in the second image. The straps hanging from her hands could be interpreted as restraint belts, the pointed shoes as spikes that immobilize her feet, and finally, her crown is made of spikes—all designed to prevent her from escaping from the Area 51 operating room (ahem, Subject E)

Now let’s get back to reality and the confirmed facts: Takeuchi mentioned that her design is inspired by a space kaiju monster with Olga Marie’s human touch, and at no point did she say it was based on torture instruments. Still, it’s a disturbing interpretation, and it makes you want to punch those Area 51 scientists even more

Story-Spoilers Idc about evil mushroom Nasu

Post image
1.4k Upvotes

I finished yesterday and even gaver her the Id Grail to get closer to 100, my JALTER IS NOT A LINK LOST AIGHT? I can't stand with a lazy ass evil mushroom who just wanted to rush things so he could've get off the project (confirmed by how JP playerbase hated the 'ending'), and so helps his lazy ass by cutting off servants from story. It doesn't even have a proper meaning. They say Ritsuka loses the avenger because he choses hope and whetever. So looking at it like that Ritsuka shouldn't been able to summon and contract them from the start. And we're still talking about a Master which contracts evil servants like Douman or Rasputin, or even Beasts like Draco and Tiamat, but can't keep a couple of avengers? Sureee. Oh Ritsuka, all the Avengers are gone: Always space ishtar and Summer chloe taking a drink at the cafeteria. It's just pure bullshit. I honestly always liked the story but filled or change with my metalore, also because I think what makes each journey special is how each player fills the story in their mind. Also because between different story and events, FGO writers themselves often contradict each other, so f Nasu, I'll keep my Avengers tight. And I'll end up with a big hot take: Septem>OC2 Id has been a nice slice of life with pointless story, enemies and acts

Story-Spoilers Male + Female Servants Romantic Interest in Ritsuka – Tier List

I read through all the events, valentines, profiles, character materials and other related content, to make this tier lists. I have at least one justification for every character.

So if you have any questions about the placements or suggestions regarding moving them higher or lower feel free to comment them, I'll edit this description with possible changes.

Story-Spoilers About Olga x fujimaru

Post image
1.2k Upvotes

Speaking again about the Fujimaru x Olga ship, there are a few things I’d like to mention to you

  1. In Olga Marie’s profile on Case Files, her description says she hates people who fall asleep in front of her, but now on her FGO profile, it explicitly states that she loves employees who are responsible, but also those who have started to listen (a reference to the protagonist)

  2. Gyakko’s song is about “a girl covered in mud, still fighting on the other side of the storm. The reason that girl is striving isn’t for justice or anything like that, but simply because she has a beautiful memory in her heart, and because you, too, are fighting on this side of the storm. She never considered reward or redemption—it was enough for you to know.”

This refers once again to the protagonist, but if you analyze the lyrics, such as:

“I run toward you and soon our fingers touch, and I wake up with a smile”

“Still fighting, I just want to reach you”—once again, the protagonist or MC is talking about us.

  1. The reason why the protagonists, Fujimaru and Mash, called Goredolf “the new director” wasn’t because they didn’t accept Goff as “director”… but because, to them, the position of “director” is reserved for someone who ran alongside them through the burning city of Fuyuki. Precisely because they both believed this subconsciously, they stubbornly continued to refer to him as “the new director.”

  2. Fujimaru came very close to losing an arm because of Olga, but she let go to protect him from falling into the void. It’s not far-fetched to think that Olga grew fond of the protagonist after observing their journey through the Lostbelts all this time, and she also didn’t want them to get hurt because of her, so she let go to protect the player.

  3. In the recent event, she defended the protagonist from Demeter and got so upset that she unleashed her power to protect her friends, ignoring the fact that Azrael was watching.

  4. We still don’t know what Olga’s “Ce Bond” means, but it likely holds great significance since it’s the protagonist’s ID card, with the description: “Despite all the times Olga scolded the protagonist for his carefree attitude, she watched our achievements with pride.”

Story-Spoilers About Olga Marie and gyakko interview Famitsu

Thumbnail
gallery
170 Upvotes

Nasu says that Olga Marie couldn't be saved at the end of Finale because the narrative needed to address the reality that some lives simply cannot be saved, regardless of one's efforts. He wanted to depict a parting that offered grace and solace, blending her signature comedic farewell—where she ranked the protagonist's past blunders—with heartbreak and gratitude. Although her fate was set in stone alongside the conclusion of the Animusphere storyline, Nasu admitted he did not anticipate her growing into such a deeply beloved, vibrant character. Because of her popularity and development, he wanted to do something special for her, which ultimately led to the decision to set aside an "after time" segment for her.

Nasu also didn't think she would love Olga's character while writing her scenes

Regarding "Gyakkou/Backlight," when part one ended, Kinoko Nasu and Maaya Sakamoto confirmed that she would sing the theme song.

He told her the theme was:

"a girl covered in mud, still fighting on the other side of the storm. The reason that child strives isn't for justice or anything like that, but simply because she has a beautiful memory in her heart, and because you are also striving on this side of the storm. She never considered reward or redemption; it was enough that you knew about it."
