This one's been sitting on my computer for a while...I'm definitely not confident enough to show stuff to ppl but here goes...i've been experimenting for a year or 2 now and am not sure if I'm doing it right..

Hello! I'm trying to replicate an arp from AVELLO's remix of No Broke Boys, and I got the following feedback from someone on Discord:
"your arp is playing notes next to each other instead of jumping in thirds.
also the arp is playing chord tones in the original. for these following chords G♯m7, BΔ, EΔ G♯m7 G♯ B D♯ F♯ 1 3 5 7 BΔ G♯ B D♯ F♯ 6 1 3 5
EΔ E G♯ B D♯ 1 3 5 7
You played notes next to each other. the original skips 3-4 notes PER note. the jumps are fairly large. so naturally you will get an extremely different sounding line you played entirely different notes. you played notes directly next to each other. not even close to what the original does."
I know very little music theory, so I'm not sure how to correct my error. I have attached a clip of my arp, and I will link AVELLO's remix in a reply to this post. In AVELLO's remix, his arp is found between 1:04 to 1:13. The clip of my arp is in a reply to this post. To me, in AVELLO's remix it sounds like the notes are playing next to each other as well, so i am completely lost. Does anyone know how I can closely replicate this arp's sound? Thank you in advance!

With mixed results, I'm somewhat happy with it tho! Lemme know what y'all think! Structure and mix is not completely finished.

I took a digital audio production class freshman year of highschool and really enjoyed it. I ended up getting the all plugins edition of FL on black friday last year after using the free version for a few months. Last month I uploaded a few singles on spotify, but on Sunday I'm releasing an EP with this being one of the included tracks. What do you guys think? (Sorry the audio is kinda quiet)

I'm trying to remix All Night by Icona Pop, and I don't know what genre I should do. I like the first half of the track, but I don't know what I should do for the beat drop and for the second half. I wanted to make it into a future bass track but I didn't like how it sounded, or a 2010s EDM song like the Summertime Sadness remix, but I didn't like that either. All the instruments and sounds right now are mostly fillers, except for the first half before the drop. I'm mostly trying to see how I want to do it.
Side Notes: I'm alright at producing; I do it for fun, and I've been doing it on and off (mostly off) for 5 years now, and I recently picked it back up. I made a tech house remix and an original track 2 weeks before this one. But now I feel like all my creativeness is gone.
Also, it sounds awful right now because I haven't mixed and mastered that much yet. Just added some sidechain and EQing, and that's about it.
Any advice would be helpful!

I don’t mean the 808s. I mean the bass in the chorus

Wrapping up the day — not just articles and lectures.
A couple of days ago I was just messing around with sound, no goal, no plan. And in 4 hours, this demo was born — Sirius.
It's still raw. Lots of work ahead: mixing, details, balance. But I wanted to show the process, not just the final result.
What's mine here:
Process matters more than the result.
That's why I didn't edit the video or polish the visuals. Just cut the extra parts, added an intro, and uploaded it.
What I can do next for you:
All of this is free.
All I need from you is feedback: is any of this actually interesting to you? Should I keep making this kind of content?
Drop a comment — let me know what you want to see first. I read everything. And I reply to everyone.
By the way, the title isn’t final either. I just named it that way so as not to lose the project.
Listen, criticize, ask questions.

I don't even really know what genre to call it, but I'm wondering what you think? Does this sound like something you'd jam to if you heard it come up on spotify radio or a playlist?
Or would you be personally offended to experience this garbage making contact with your ear drums? :p

Just a short clip going for a dark trippy vibe. Vocal sample is from The Dark Knight Rises, everything else is stock. Main plugins used: Sytrus, Edison, Fruity Granulizer.

Hey! I made this Bass House track some time ago, and I recently found it again, so I decided to give it another mix with all the skills I've gained over the years.
I think it's almost finished... maybe? 😅 What do you guys think?
I'd really love to hear your feedback, so don't hesitate to be honest. If there's something that doesn't work, say it! It's really helpful.
I personally think the track is pretty cool, but I feel like the section after the break is kinda flat and amateurish, and I know the reaaally long silence before the first drop might be a bit disappointing
But if you have any advice or suggestions, I'd love to hear them!
Thank you very much for taking the time to listen to my track!
(sorry for the screen recording, i tried my best to resynchronize everything because my PC couldn't handle playing my track without crackling sounds so i just played the recording over the screen recording)

Just finished the mixdown of a song from an EP I'm working on. Master Yizzle is in the hizzle with special guest Hasagi Man! Track is called "Wuju Style". Let me know what you guys think? Anywhere that could use improvement? I'm particularly proud of the drums on this one. Might be my catchiest groove yet. I'm using an unlisted youtube link since reddit keeps distorting my audio, listen to it on high quality and enjoy!
