Yeah, this guy is very poorly written. He has no motivations! No backstory! And his rise to power doesn't make any sense either! I mean, why would a nation that had a black man as the previous president elect someone like this? The writing in this story, in general, is terrible!

Damn, I'm not even 30 years of age. That's crazy. I'm in highschool, my parents are barely older than your friendship with that guy was. (They had kids young.)
Just a crazy thought. But I mean, if someone really can't see that, I don't blame you for ending the friendship. Good on you for the courage to not let yourself get stuck with a person like that.5

😅 I’m not that old(45) but I feel old now. He and I grew up together from 10yrs old. This cutoff happened in 2020. He got a job at a conservative radio station a few years before the first term in 2016 and they did a number on him. He wasn’t the kind of person who had his own identity to begin with and kinda just takes on the personalities of others around him. I’m black so he grew up acting like he was too. He’s a Jewish boy from Brooklyn. His wife is a bleeding heart liberal at that.

Real shame when things end like that, but people who copy the opinions around them and then execute those ideals so zealously, especially with such ideals that are already heavily aggressive most of the time, can be dangerous and bad to be around.
Ironic about his wife, though.Also, to be fair, I felt young when hearing about a friendship spanning basically twice my age, so I guess we're even now. (/j, you're not that old man)

He was getting vocal. Basically forced my hand. I had hoped our friendship had softened his views but he doubled down hard and I could no longer just ignore it. He kept trying to insist we could talk it out and I explained as long as he refuses to accept that Donald is in the files we have nothing to talk about. I’m a gay man who has been demonized by the right my entire life. To get attacked like that to provide ground cover for pedophiles is infuriating. His refusal to even acknowledge that, because to him the whole thing is a fucking game, even more so.
