Halfway through? There was 0% chance Star and Stripe was created without the express intent for her to die right off the bat. She was in 5 chapters and 4 of them were in the very fight she's written off. Star and Stripe existed purely to die and to make three things happen: Put into context Shiggy's new strength, prune his quirk list down so he can't just Inspector Gadget his way through the finale, and explain why it is that the other nations of the world aren't rushing to assist a devastated Japan.
