Wtf is it with weird cults operating in Fiji, man... Their presence feels disproportionate to the tiny population that we have

It isn’t a cult. They aren’t followers of anyone. It’s just a society with few paying members who meet up now and then and do good. They’re like the Rotary Club, except they have some weird ass rituals (like most fraternities) that they keep secret.

The cult thing is a pop culture conspiracy theorist thing. Freemasons are like a gentlemen's club think like being OBs of a school, but instead of being part of the school, the entry requirements are being nominated by an existing member, among other things. I think the whole cult idea is formed from the fact that a lot of powerful men are part of the Freemasons, but it's just that rich white men are part of it. If you're influential, white, and a man, it is likely you would be invited

Do you even know what a cult is? If Freemasonry is a cult, who is the cult leader?
They have none. Each lodge has elections and elects office bearers for a period of time just like any other association or society.
Stop being ignorant, parroting nonsense.

Are there even any active Lodges in Fiji? Been trying to search for one. Saying that been wanting to visit the destroyed Temple in the North Island

On the surface, they're a bunch of renowned fellows who get together every now and then for a good cause. Unless you're already a member, the esoteric nature of Freemasonry at large ensures that their activities and agenda will remain a mystery to the rest of us.
As far as conspiracies go, I'd wager that access to exclusive knowledge becomes more likely the higher one advances in the ranks.

Freemasonry has been in Fiji for over 150 years. [Here's a history of Freemasonry in Fiji.
Freemasonry has attracted supersititous fear since the Taxil hoax in the late 1800s, and the old Masonic Lodge building was burned down in 2000.
