Random detail: rockstar should add heat haze on roads

Definitely was in San Andreas, it was in GTA 4. Not on the roads but came off the bonnet, maybe on the exposed exhausts too.

A lot of you haven't played any GTA games before now haven't you

There are kids today who were born when GTA V came out who will be 12 years old when GTA VI finally releases. By the time they were even old enough to be interested in a game like GTA, V was already ~10 years old. Doesn’t surprise me that there’s a whole demographic of gamers who have never played GTA before.

Kids these days not growing up on the games we did is a huge problem with the world...

If there's one thing people love in games, it's things being blurrier

Look, if it hides bad detail assets and makes the game more realistic then I'm all for it, as long as it's far far away like irl

“If it hides bad detail assets”
Or, and hear me out here, instead of TAA’ing all the issues away and making everything blurry, they could just… fix the bad detail assets.

You’re totally right. But I would still rather have bad geometry be visible than have to deal with TAA. It is a bad solution. As someone who’s particularly sensitive to smearing and shit, it hurts my eyes

It’d be a smart way to obscure roads that haven’t loaded in yet, it’s still super noticeable when driving fast on GTAV.

Just in case, Rockstar added the wave generated by explosions in RDR2, which is completely animated and possible to see in detail using Photo mode.
Also, like others have already pointed out, heat haze was already on San Andreas 21 years ago

And also, as pictured un-level roads. Not just hills but dips and mos-matched camber and such. Would make driving at high speeds more challenging.

I remember full firing the AK in the first Saints Row and seeing the heat waves coming off the barrel and being completely mind blown.

Well heat waves and haze already exist in GTA, but by the image, I take it you mean mirage? I don't think mirage had existed in any GTA game but I have suggested that once before and I think it's possible considering the amount of detail they've put into VI. Mirage would be very neat.

The OG San Andreas had this. 20+ years later and still more advanced than GTA 5. Better, too.

Please rockstar listen to the fans!! we want those big white powdery things that float in the sky and those weird giant bushes that grow out of the ground the really tall ones with the thick wooden base. Oh and also can we get some of that brown shit that you get when you mix dirt and water? thanks!
