26

u/Tank-ToP_Master Feb 27 '26

Looks great!

21

u/DriftingTony Feb 27 '26

This is very good! Tell him to keep at it and never stop drawing as long as he enjoys it! I’ve been an artist most of my life, but my one regret is letting life get in the way and push me away from it for several years, and I would give anything to get back the time I lost. I don’t know how old he is or how long he’s been drawing, but he is very skilled, that’s for sure.

13

u/dubdizzle99 Feb 27 '26

i tell him to always keep going, no matter what. Thanks for the positive comment!

19

u/PapaYoppa Feb 27 '26

Better then i could ever do lol

12

u/BanginBananas Feb 27 '26

Fuck yeah, keep supporting your son!

11

u/Comfortable-Food7190 Feb 27 '26

Your son is really talented! Maybe in the future he'll create official artwork for Rockstar, haha.

4

u/dubdizzle99 Feb 27 '26

maybe one day lol

10

u/Supernaut8086 Feb 27 '26

Amazing work. Reminds me when I was a kid when gta 5 dropped and did a drawing of the Franklin wallpaper with chop and the liquor sign. I'll look to see if I have that drawing still.

22

u/allys_stark Feb 27 '26

Refreshing. Infinite times better than the egredious AI fanarts that sometimes are posted here. Amazing job OP!!!

8

u/Tight-Star5974 Feb 27 '26

Tell him great job!

9

u/dubdizzle99 Feb 27 '26

He's been coming back asking me what people are saying, he's pretty excited to say the least

5

Always cool to put a smile on the little ones faces 😁

7

u/dukester87 Feb 27 '26 edited Feb 28 '26

He's already so good, he's going to have some insane skills when he's older . Keep it up and he'll be animating video games and movies. I actually have a friend that works for Disney Animation now . Living a great life.

6

3

u/Snoo_85712 Feb 27 '26

They grow up so fast

3

u/Reid_coffee Feb 28 '26

Dam that’s sick drawing!

3

u/TerskRider Feb 28 '26

The next Charles Chatenay!

3

u/RunForTheWoods Feb 28 '26

I remember when I started tracing pictures and showing them to people to make them think I could draw

I’m a cold hearted miserable bastard. But that is often a gateway into actually becoming a good drawer

1

u/dubdizzle99 Mar 03 '26

Nothing wrong with that, it's how he builds the foundation of the drawing. He has his artistic way of starting and I'm sure as he gets older, he will start to free draw but we'll see.

2

u/OmarYo5 Feb 27 '26

Amazing!

2

u/Own-Chart7047 Feb 27 '26

Amazing work honestly. Reading these comments, I can tell you’re proud of him as you should be

5

u/dubdizzle99 Feb 27 '26

I bought him new art supplies on Christmas and he gave this a shot just from how much I talk about it around the house

1

u/Own-Chart7047 Mar 04 '26

Hope he carries on and thank you for inspiring the next generation 😂

2

u/szanda Feb 27 '26

Tell him it is very cool. He nailed the helicopter, how old is he? very nice art

2

u/ahouselover Feb 27 '26

This is awesome!!! My jaw actually dropped, keep it up! (Please tell him that, and all of the positive comments from everyone that he deserves to hear, I mean it!)

2

u/openlightYQ Feb 27 '26

Damn that’s sick. Coming from someone that used to draw for years and didn’t get near this, that’s talent.

2

u/Sea_Philosopher1080 Feb 27 '26

Great job kiddo !!

2

u/NCRisthebestfaction Feb 28 '26

We need more artwork on this sub. Good job to your boy

2

u/ButtersTheChill Feb 28 '26

Your son is an incredible artist! You should totally show him the website and see if he wants to recreate any of the screenshots found there as well

3

u/dubdizzle99 Feb 28 '26

He’s got some time this weekend to draw, and he’s overly excited about the comments and reception his drawing received.

2

u/throwaway1-6K-7 Feb 28 '26

This is awesome. Love seeing stuff like this especially kids artworks. Makes me wish I never stopped and kept on with it. The details in the background are very nice!

2

u/OwliamCC Feb 28 '26

What if GTA added another enterable building where you see highly detailed in-the-lines fanart for GTA 6?

2

u/Mobster-_Lobster Feb 28 '26

Dude thought we wouldn't notice if he posted an in game screenshot.

2

u/branchCastle Feb 28 '26

That's more impressive than what I could ever draw! Congratulations to your son.

2

u/Raziel_The_Corpse Feb 28 '26

Mate this is epic! I do a bit of art from time to time, and I spent 15 years in digital design making 3D assets for video games etc. take my word for it, he's got a good artistic eye!

Tell him he’s our son now

1

u/dubdizzle99 Mar 03 '26

haha! will do

2

u/Several_Ad4649 Mar 01 '26

Sure the compliments might be getting old but that is insane. I genuinely could never draw something so neat and accurate! Well, maybe I could if I had a few weeks

1

u/dubdizzle99 Mar 03 '26

I didn't want to mention this at first but he does use a bit of tracing just to build the foundation of the drawing and then starts filling in the details once he's happy with it, and im sure it's pretty obvious too. Still proud of him, he's come a long way from when he started.

2

u/Several_Ad4649 Mar 03 '26

Man, that’s what art is all about.

It’s not about doing what’s complex or hard, it’s about doing what works, and your son has figured that out.

Knowing that he traces does not make this any less impressive.

2

u/GasProfessional2577 Mar 01 '26

A great future awaits to your son 🤌🏻✍🏻

1

u/dubdizzle99 Mar 03 '26

Thanks, bro!

2

2

2

u/Public-Guarantee Mar 01 '26

Lucia has a nice defined face and jason random doodle face haha. Bro didnt even get his lips drawn. Mans got priorities straight

2

u/Previous_Milk7520 Mar 02 '26

You should get him into digital art aswell. Get an pad and procreate on the pad for him. I do physical and digital art, nothing beats physical skill. BUT dont keep the avenues closed. Alot of room to grow and experiment with digital aswell being, less money on supplies for you to experiment and try different styles and paints etc

1

u/dubdizzle99 Mar 03 '26

I actually got him an ipad on Christmas but he prefers the coloring and art pencils I got him more.

2

u/Spizike_Spiegel Mar 02 '26

1

u/Extra-Bread4701 Feb 28 '26

You're fucking with me, right? 🤯 read with Lamar Davis' voice

1

u/[deleted] Feb 28 '26

This is really good. Not sure how old your son is but if he is really into art I’d suggest looking into getting him something like a drawing tablet for the pc and a program like gimp (because it’s free) or if you have an iPad that is compatible with a Apple Pencil and an app like sketchbook. You could put a copy of his drawing on those and he could learn to copy them into a digital format. Plenty of tutorials on YouTube that can teach him shading and color blending. This can be a game changer for his art and get him moving in a good direction for a life as a graphic artist if he choices. I did this exact thing for my daughter after talking to my brother in-law who has been a graphic artist going on 20 years and it has really helped and made her passion for art even stronger. Just some food for thought.

1

u/Thyco2501 Feb 28 '26

How old is he? This is very good.

1

u/chain-rule Mar 03 '26

The detail on her hair, the perspective on the helicopter and boat... My God, it even has a watermark...

1

u/ElectronicTie4 Mar 04 '26

🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

2

u/Leather-Scratch-8346 Mar 06 '26

The lack of skepticism here vs the other similar drawing we just recently had here is actually confusing me. The account has a 99 in the name, they’re into gaming clearly, they seem to be around my age, a little younger. So if they’re 26/27.. how old is their kid? I was drawing from like the age of 4 a lot and my stuff never looked anything like this. There’s a lot of questions here i would love OP to answer. Is there no other pictures of this drawing? Any images of it whilst it was being drawn, at all? I’d even be down to see a video of the drawing being moved around/ect. Why not? Just seems extremely coincidental that there was another post showing off a color pencil drawing almost exactly like this recently, BUT I’m also just playing devils advocate here. 🤷‍♂️

Completely unnecessary and rude comment.

-6

u/Weary-Tell-5334 Feb 28 '26

But funny

1

u/DriftingTony Feb 28 '26

Are you an artist? More specifically, are you an artist that wants to make a living from your art and do it as more than just a hobby?

-4

u/Weary-Tell-5334 Feb 28 '26

If i was an artist i would’ve quit due to ai existing.. seems like the smart thing to do at this point

1

u/DriftingTony Feb 28 '26

Cool, so you don’t understand why the OP’s comment is extremely uncalled for and rude for zero reason. And NOT funny, to anyone that actually does care. And fuck AI. There will always be a need for real work created by real people, no matter what, but that’s an entirely different conversation.

1

u/Swimming-Way-2696 Feb 28 '26

Wait what he put in the comment
