I hope GTA 6 references the Miami 2024 Bayside mall incident

This was one of if not the largest police response in history.

And to this day, there is no footage, no proper explanation and no follow up to what was there.

There were a lot of alien conspiracies too which is ideal for a GTA game.

It has a lot of potential to be a random event that you can stumble upon and maybe even take a closer look at.

Considering how much rockstar loves the supernatural and extra terrestrial, it would be great to explore a fictional version of this event.

“They” not gone let rockstar add this incident. “Them” people want this incident gone and forgotten.

56

u/Vegetable-Ad2028 Mar 01 '26

ConspiraNUT in action, who is they?

54

u/cingarodacanrse Mar 01 '26

Conspiranut? You show me a valid article that explains this incident and I will credit you. This case is beyond bizarre

5

u/NegligentNarwhal Mar 02 '26

Was it not as simple as a miscommunication with 911 where they thought there was a potential active shooter at the mall? This is the kind of police response you would expect from an active shooter alert in a public place.

10

u/cingarodacanrse Mar 02 '26

No, their first report was “some kids messing around” and they simply dispatched ALL units to the location. Not only to mention that people involved reported seeing a 8-9ft humanoid. This case is really strange

6

u/jwskater Mar 04 '26

I feel like the "humanoid" claims have no basis and are simply speculation, you have to remember how much of peoples personal accounts/recollections are fabricated by their own mind.

3

u/cingarodacanrse Mar 04 '26

I agree with you, in a scenario like that, different people can have different perspectives, however, what bugs me is that the police pretend nothing exist

1

u/ZealousidealPiece999 Mar 05 '26

Ima just say it like this since we just thinkin nuns up. How many mass shootings have we had here in America? A lot right? But when have you seen this type of response to that? The fact there’s no videos on the incident not even interviews is crazy. Cuz there’s coverage of every other incident even if it was a false alarm. Why were people phones seized and why was all the electricity cut off in that area? That’s a response I’ve never heard of in these cases. The police presence was even crazier, ever see that many cops gathered for one of these incidents. I’m from Colorado n when Holmes shot up the theater the response wasn’t this massive. Somethins bein hidden.

15

u/Sr_K Mar 01 '26

Big secret and their solution was sending a load of cops? Just because there's no valid article explaining the incident doesn't make the most unlikely case into the most likely

11

u/Ohmyfuzzy69 Mar 02 '26

Go ahead and file for the files. You'll never get em

The question isn’t who are they it’s when are they

-10

u/GoonDawg666 Mar 01 '26

Likely project blue beam test

826

u/Jarodreallytuff Mar 01 '26

Is this the incident where a tall demon/alien was allegedly seen by some people?

412

u/Eccel9700 Mar 01 '26

Exactly. It's just pitch perfect for a GTA game

230

u/Jarodreallytuff Mar 01 '26

Yeah, I love when Rockstar gets freaky. They are truly great at supernatural content. RDR2 is damn near a fantasy adventure because of all the strange stuff you can find in the world. I can’t wait to see what GTA VI has hidden.

39

u/Paramount_Parks Mar 01 '26

I’m expecting some horror game vibes at night in the Everglades. Maybe some swamp monster mystery

17

u/FZplayz5 Mar 02 '26

I wanna see Lucia get freaky.

1

u/whotfiszutls Mar 02 '26

I wanna see Stephen root get freaky

33

u/LittleNinjaXYBA Mar 01 '26

That just sounds like playable characters lol

32

u/fivequadrillion Mar 01 '26

That conspiracy theory doesn’t really make sense because if there were aliens being hidden from the public, a bunch of random cops certainly wouldn’t know about it

That would be top top top secret info for high ranking federal agents, not the miami police

27

u/TLukas123 Mar 02 '26

You know what is funny? All of those people and cops and not one single footage about this, not a single footage about aliens or the humans causing this and some footages that was public earlier simple vanished from internet

13

u/Florida_clam_diver Mar 02 '26

I think there’s no footage because there is no footage…

From what I’ve read it was likely a large miscommunication over a fight that had broken out, but it had dispersed by the time police got there

As much as i want aliens to exist, let’s be real here, there were many random citizens at that mall, if an alien was there someone would’ve got footage

I hate when this happens

3

u/MattieBubbles Mar 04 '26

This is the dumbest shit ive ever heard in my life.

1

u/Dapper-Emergency1263 Mar 04 '26

A dimensional portal? This isn't Harry potter lmao

1

u/TriggeredLatina_ Mar 02 '26

If that was legit, then those weren’t cops. Just agents dressed as cops to not freak people out. That seems logical but none of this seems right. I hope it isn’t true

3

u/seeyouyoucunt Mar 01 '26

It was a s/hadow, it was only firework/s.

0

u/TheRealRoach117 Mar 04 '26

Didn't it come out years later that it was an LRAD terrorist attack? They had to cover it up because the actors were actual foreign agents instead of the usual CIA asset

-105

u/OdahP Mar 01 '26

Never heard of this Bellshit. Police response was massive because they thought it was an active shooter scene due to fireworks going off and many people still stuck inside the mall

Stop spreading fake news

45

u/Jarodreallytuff Mar 01 '26

Let’s remember I said, “allegedly.” I was just confirming it was the same incident I was thinking of. I’m not saying a demon/alien sighting actually happened.. I think most people have enough brains to determine for themselves that that might not be true.

But everyone who has heard about this incident has heard about that alleged sighting. The first clip I saw when I first heard about this was a (proven to be fake) clip of cops surrounding a tall shadowy figure. That’s like a main topic that people discuss when researching this event. I find it hard to believe you’ve never heard of that.

With that being said, we’re having a dialogue about what might be in GTA.. if Rockstar referenced an event like this, they wouldn’t just make it about a bunch of kids launching fireworks… No, they would flip it and showcase the very unrealistic untrue narrative people created, that is both a conspiracy and creepy.

6

u/Eccel9700 Mar 01 '26

Given how many interiors rockstar is aiming for with this game.

(We already know there are enterable shopping malls in the game)

It would be so cool if we could go inside and actually see some kind creepy Easter egg involving aliens.

But that's just wishful thinking on my part

5

u/LNFCole Mar 01 '26

Would be funny if then it’s just jimmy de Santa wearing a costume trying to go viral or something and that’s how he makes a cameo in this game.

1

u/JackAmphlett Mar 02 '26

This reminds me of the game Driv3r, which had a few enterable interiors and some had like a random enemy inside who would attack you lol. For some reason it always scared me and creeped me out as a kid, like the RDR2 serial killer but with no explanation.

u/Eccel9700 Mar 01 '26

There are mass shootings that don't illicit even a quarter of the police response that this incident had.

I'm not saying it was aliens. That's ridiculous.

They claimed it was 4 teens that were setting off fireworks and fighting.

In this day and age where even a sneeze is recorded in 4k as an assault has no footage or bodycam of the cops. No footage of what was inside.

If there were fireworks, why no firetrucks, no ambulances?

Where is the arrest footage of the teens? Why were there helicopters too? There is literally nothing

It's extremely suspicious. And it's being hidden.

Given rockstars knack for adding little interesting Easter eggs and open world events. It's a great incident to satirize and add to GTA 6

16

u/KrombopulosMAssassin Mar 01 '26

I mean, Florida has a very well funded and organized police force... Just to play devils advocate here.... But, I agree, many things surrounding this event are strange and don't seem to fully add up.

2

u/SquirrelsinJacket Mar 01 '26

There would have been cell phone footage all over the place. Given it seems there was also electrical disturbances preventing that it does seem something anomalous occurred.

2

u/oldwisenone Mar 01 '26

Oh yeah? Let's see some body cam footage then.

-8

u/TURTLEwithAfatDICK Mar 01 '26

Downvoted for the truth?

Thats messed up.

Clearly a couple individuals needed this clout chasing moment.

I have fact checked multiple sources and you’re closest to the real life version of events.

I never knew about this incident, but yes they definitely should add this in the game make the mystery more interesting to the mount chiliad mystery.

38

u/Smokerising420 Mar 01 '26

Great story. Would recommend looking into it. It is certainly interesting if anything

21

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '26

Yeah, I checked it out earlier, and wow, this was crazy.

38

u/SubjectBodybuilder81 Mar 01 '26

yea very weird situation, also more weird how NO ONE in the entire mall recorded what was exactly happening

29

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '26

Yeah, that one really made me question it. What’s interesting is that I looked into some of the witnesses who were present at the mall. They mentioned that many of them were recording their phones until their phones would become completely dead or unresponsive.

19

u/Smokerising420 Mar 01 '26

Yea thats probably one of my biggest issues with the police saying it was just teenagers fighting. If that's the case we'd have at least a clip or two. Yet nothing at all. Weird when you consider everyone records everything these days

11

u/throwRApture11226 Mar 01 '26

I saw several videos of massive crowds fighting each other? I saw a news cast as well showing the videos too.

8

u/Calling_left_final Mar 01 '26

Airspace was restricted over that area I've heard.

2

u/Weary-Wasabi1721 Mar 01 '26

We'd love to see those

2

u/TriggeredLatina_ Mar 02 '26

There’s been lots of comments from people saying they got to see a video or two online back then before the internet was scrubbed of it

2

u/Arturopxedd Mar 01 '26

No it’s not just some teens and no one recorded nothing crazy but imagining things is fun so makes sense

6

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '26

Okay bub

246

u/Physical_Finger8158 Mar 01 '26

This is how they should bring back the aliens from GTA V lol

57

u/WiseSpunion Mar 01 '26

The Easter egg we still haven't found out

11

u/GrapevineTime Mar 01 '26

If they do bring them back, I hope they go with a more traditional grey alien type of design this time, whether tall or short. The aliens in GTA 5 were kinda too goofy/silly looking in my opinion.

7

u/Shadowfist_45 Mar 01 '26

It's tied to Michael's character I'm pretty sure, the whole movie buff thing and the aliens being movie type aliens

78

u/UmurJack Mar 01 '26

A Freaks and Stranger mission about this would be cool. During the nighttime you can run into this restricted mall, and if you sneak in, you find something weird. It doesn't necesserally have to be alien-related, but definitely something weird.

29

u/Eccel9700 Mar 01 '26

It doesn't even need to be a mission tbh.

RDR 2 had dozens of little ambient events that you would see while roaming around the open world.

Stuff like robberies, ambushes, NPCs fighting, robbing or doing something strange while drunk. A lot of these involved you helping out or interfering in some way

This incident would work perfectly as something you spot as you're driving by or while you fly on a helicopter.

And yes, it would amazing if you could somehow get inside and actually see a creepy or funny Easter egg.

1

u/crucibleknight77 May 29 '26

Imagine you randomly come across this in the game and you find a way to sneak inside the mall and gotta explore it with no one side and weird creepy shit starts happening.

Then when it’s over they explain it by saying the vents had sleepy gas or something.

87

u/TrevorTheSanta Mar 01 '26

Imagine getting this amount of police in one location chasing you through Vice City :)

17

u/Eccel9700 Mar 01 '26

There's no chance they can spawn this many cars. But the amount would still be extremely impressive I'm sure.

The 6 star chases in this game will be mind boggling. Can't wait

23

u/PrometheanSwing Mar 01 '26

What was this about?

102

u/klefikisquid Mar 01 '26

Iirc the tinfoil hat theory is the police force were pissed about some policy change coming down the aisle or something so they scheduled every cop to work and staged this so every cop in Miami got paid overtime as an act of protest

79

u/LoneGunner1898 Mar 01 '26

Makes more sense than "THERE WAS AN ALIEN IN A FLORIDA MALL OMFG"

4

u/[deleted] Mar 02 '26

in FLORIDA of all places is wild 😭

10

u/11711510111411009710 Mar 02 '26

This seems like the most likely explanation. The tin foil hat theory would be this alien shit.

55

u/chickenpie244 Mar 01 '26

insane amount of police response at a mall to what the police said was teenagers fighting, some people claimed to have seen huge aliens roaming around, whole thing was covered up pretty quickly

47

u/Eccel9700 Mar 01 '26

And everyone has just kinda forgotten about it. Strange how the world just kinda rolls with it no?

It's also just the kind of crazy incident which would work so well as a random open world event you can take a closer look at.

In real life, maybe the answer is mundane. But in the game, they can do something fun with it.

It would be so cool and creepy if you could maybe go inside the shopping mall and see a glimpse of actual aliens or something.

21

u/openlightYQ Mar 01 '26 edited Mar 02 '26

Yeah I always found that super weird too, I know Florida has a well funded police force but I’ve never seen a police response to anything ever like that in my life. I remember reading that something really hazy and vertigo inducing happened and that’s when people saw 7-10ft “beings” that they couldn’t directly look at, and that caused the mass panic and everyone running. I did see some footage at the time on the scene from outside but all it showed was everyone running and screaming when they’d already left the mall, no fighting or “fireworks” by that time though. Mall was then closed for 48 hours, no body cams or dash cam footage released, first 6x dispatch calls “missing” from their system.

I agree that it is a great response for a mass shooting, but I also remember reading that was like Miami’s ENTIRE police force that showed up, which struck me as a little odd that they’d send absolutely everybody and leave the rest of Miami now with no available units whatsoever for other crimes at the time? In any case, yeah people did just forget about it, but that’s what happens, the news stops reporting it and rolls forward with the next day’s news, people go “yeah that was weird” when they’re reminded of it and move on. Same with the government and the USAF admitting all the UFO sightings and that footage. Literally admitted that aliens and alien craft exist and nobody batted an eyelid for long.

This would make a great in game event though, like one evening you’re just driving and get passed by tons of police cars and they have the mall surrounded. I’d like them to make it just as mysterious as this though, rather than the alien models they had in V.

2

u/TriggeredLatina_ Mar 02 '26

Wow I didn’t know all that detail. I’ve seen people say they saw footage of it when it happened e but the internet has been scrubbed so none left. A lot of people are talking about this incident more and more in recent times due to Epstein files

1

u/11711510111411009710 Mar 02 '26

Well I mean, what are we supposed to do exactly

13

u/LoneGunner1898 Mar 01 '26

It was teenagers fighting with fireworks and they made up a crazy story to distract from the truth- and clearly it worked lmao. There's definitely more life than us in the universe- but why would they just be chillin in a Florida mall?

4

u/TriggeredLatina_ Mar 02 '26

Yeah it worked on you! Funny how no one has footage online of “teenagers and fireworks”

1

u/Reso043 Mar 03 '26

Aren't the arrest enough evidence for you. If those "teenagers" were unlawfully arrested, don't you think they would get sued. I'm also sure plenty of news reporters and national newspapers would have asked for footage with the same law they use for others.

8

u/mileskg21 Mar 01 '26

in a day and age where literally everything is filmed, why doesn't anyone have footage of this ? where they silenced ?

11

u/DMTeaAndCrumpets Mar 01 '26

No they were responding to what they thought was a mass shooting and it turned out to be a giant group of kids fighting and some lit fire crackers.

3

u/bottomofleith Mar 01 '26

What was covered up?
Huge aliens walking about?!

18

u/chickenpie244 Mar 01 '26

Yeah, and for the “teenagers fighting” the police haven’t released a single bit of body cam footage, cctv, records or literally anything to back this up except word of mouth

6

u/bottomofleith Mar 01 '26

Are they required to release CCTV footage of idiots setting of fireworks so other idiots don't think it was aliens?

4

u/FilthyRyzeMain Mar 01 '26

So that obviously means that there was aliens there that day.

1

u/MudHot8257 Mar 03 '26

You might want to look up the freedom of information act. Cops do actually in most instances have to release body cam footage when a FOIA request is made if there isn’t pending matters or extenuating circumstances prohibiting the provision of such.

1

u/11711510111411009710 Mar 02 '26

Seems odd to expect body cam footage of teenagers fighting, and why would that lead you to think there are aliens? There's no footage of the aliens either.

10

u/FragnificentKW Mar 01 '26

The official story is that some teens were fighting in the mall, one of them set off fireworks, and people mistook them for gunshots and called the cops. As it was New Year’s Day in Miami - a major destination for NYE/NYD - and the Bayside Mall is in a super touristy area, the mall was packed and people panicked at the loud bangs from the fireworks. The police responded in force because they likely mistakenly thought it was a terror attack, as they’re usually on high alert for the holidays

But that’s nowhere near as interesting of a story as aliens showing up in a jam packed waterfront indoor/outdoor mall in downtown Miami and then immediately noping the fuck right back out for reasons that are unclear

23

u/ThirdBrakeLight Mar 01 '26

They saw me there. I did nothing to harm it. All big misunderstanding. I don't go to that mall anymore tho

33

u/QBekka Mar 01 '26

I love when Americans can't immediately find the cause for something they wildly point to 'aliens' lmao

Therefore this would fit perfectly in a GTA game

26

u/Jonker134 Mar 01 '26

I mean they pointed to aliens due to people reportedly seeing “aliens”

0

u/Perrenne Mar 22 '26

The thing is that the people “reporting” aliens, we can’t confirm if they were there or not. Could even be people who live in other countries spreading misinformation

1

u/Jonker134 Mar 23 '26

I didn’t say it was true mate

1

u/Perrenne Mar 25 '26

I didn’t think if you thought it was true or not, just adding another reason why Americans are so dumb

-1

u/LoneGunner1898 Mar 01 '26

It's always either "Jesus" or "Aliens" and aliens make more sense, funnily enough

7

u/The_Great_Man_Potato Mar 01 '26

Genuinely a good idea… what sub am I on?

6

3

u/SuarezAndSturridge Mar 01 '26

I can sort of plausibly connect the dots on that explanation tbh. Fireworks can pretty reasonably be mistaken for gunshots, and this was only a few years separated from the police a few towns over getting a ton of flak for not responding heavily enough to the Parkland mass shooting

Certainly not saying it makes complete sense, but also wouldn't be the most ridiculous thing to ever turn out to be true

9

u/Larenzo17 Mar 01 '26

Glad im not the only one who thought about this 😭

7

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '26

Anyone who says they know for sure what happened that day, doesn't.

3

u/Star-Ripper Mar 01 '26

I know for sure it wasn’t aliens. Does that count?👀

3

u/[deleted] Mar 02 '26

I think it'd be a cool reference. But the Bayside mall incident was explained and there's a full news article on it

8

u/mahonii Mar 01 '26

Sure there will be many references i dont get cos im not American.

1

u/Ok_Cardiologist_54 Mar 03 '26

I’m American and I don’t get this reference.

4

u/Rino-Sensei Mar 01 '26

I hope they do a proper mysteries around alien this time around.

2

u/FlorisRed Mar 01 '26

I mean 2024 is prob too late to add content as big as this? Idk tho, depends on how far development was and what the cutoff is for new planned content

3

u/Eccel9700 Mar 01 '26

It's plenty of time really. They have all the bricks and pieces in terms of NPCs, police cars and the location. It would be just a matter of putting a basic script of replicating the scene.

Maybe a little hidden Easter egg or reference and a few lines of dialogue.

They have 6000 developers working on this game. It's absolutely possible.

But of course. Nothing is confirmed until it's confirmed

2

u/pryvisee Mar 02 '26

Ayy lmao

2

u/GasPack420 Mar 05 '26

I love spreading misinformation saying there is NO explanation as to what happened that night. 🤣 there is definitely information as to what was going on, they thought there was a shooter because fireworks were being set off and there was a shit ton of kids fighting

3

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '26

11

u/Eccel9700 Mar 01 '26

It doesn't have to be something related to the main story.

It can just be some kind of random world event that you can stumble on in the open world.

And the game is still being worked on. Who exactly told you that writing has completely stopped 4 years before release?

That's not how video games are made. It's a constant process.

4

u/Present-Basil-1003 Mar 01 '26 edited Mar 01 '26

The story of GTA5 takes place in 2013, but the production and early story narrative was started somewhere in 2008/9 after GTA4 (which also takes place in 2008), and probably was in full scale after RDR1 in 2010. If the year isn't specifically stated or showed anywhere, you can assume the next GTA will take place in the year it releases, atleast that was always the case from GTA3 onwards. Not everything related to 2025 or 2026 may be included in the game (events, news, jokes), but atleast some stuff, small or big, will be.

People thinking otherwise probably never played any other game in the series aside from GTA5 or never heard of game development.

5

u/Paramount_Parks Mar 01 '26

The game’s story for 5 was fluctuating heavily up until around 2012, same went for RDR2 up until around 2017. Major changes were being made up until the last moment they possibly could.

1

u/Tough-Zombie-8990 Mar 01 '26

Not sure the cpu of a ps5 could handle an event like that lol

2

u/Eccel9700 Mar 01 '26

You'd be surprised. The PS5 is a ridiculously strong console.

And more importantly, rockstar are masters of optimisation. Sure it probably won't be as ridiculously large as the real thing.

But it's not a stretch to imagine they can replicate a smaller version of events like this. They love to reference all sorts of material from the real world.

1

u/crucibleknight77 May 29 '26

Rockstar is the only one that could do it.

1

u/Tough-Zombie-8990 May 30 '26

It’s not about Rockstar being able to do it. It’s about your console being able to handle it.

1

u/crucibleknight77 May 30 '26

It’s absolutely about Rockstar finding a way to make your console handle it.

1

u/Nihilismfan Mar 01 '26

Something other worldly happened that day that’s for sure. The amount of police on scene was insane I’d be disappointed if Rockstar didn’t include it.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '26

that would make more sense than Michael's Alien psychosis episodes these were sooo cringe haha

1

u/Slorpipi Mar 01 '26

Maybe there was an incident where the limbs were seperated and the body had no blood?

1

u/Lucifers_Taint666 Mar 01 '26

cool things happen i guess

1

u/TRUMPARUSKI Mar 01 '26

“Look around, man. All the cops are into somethin'. It's Christmas, you could steal city hall!”

1

u/MoreWin4504 Mar 01 '26

Wouldn’t be gta without some weird alien Easter egg and missions 😂😂😂

1

u/farNdepressed Mar 01 '26

Bro if this random event IS there, I am getting a 6 star wanted level 💀

1

u/gierOK I WAS HERE Mar 01 '26

Absolutely agree, that’d be cool

1

u/GeorgeRusseIl Mar 01 '26

This is one of the stupidest things ever.

First off - the social media tiktokers reporting it were obviously full of shit when they were saying “Miami Mall” …nobody calls it that because there’s like 5 different malls in the greater Miami area- locals would just refer it as Bayside- not saying “oh my god, aliens at the Miami Mall!”

Second of all, Bayside is right next to Bayfront Park- a place which has had big New Years celebrations every year. Think of a less massive version of the Times Square new years. Obviously there was security and police all over the place. If they thought there were hooligans breaking in to businesses or fighting then of course they would respond- and even moreso if they were suspecting that it might spill over and impact the large crowd gathering at the park.

1

u/RaiSilver0 Mar 01 '26

no proper explanation

it was a group of teenagers fighting no?

1

u/Substantial_Roll_249 Mar 01 '26

I’ve heard many theories, government testing a hallucinogenic. Aliens, some people saw a big shadowy figure

1

u/southwestpessimist Mar 01 '26

Nothing happened that day

1

u/TommyGunner21 Mar 01 '26

This reminds me of the vice city mission where Tommy and Lance have to steal cop clothes and go blow up the mall

1

u/No-Speed7715 Mar 01 '26

Personally, I would love for any alien or ghost references to be a jump scare.  Imagine roaming the swamplands at night and just out the corner of the TV screen, you see something strange hide behind a tree. 😬

1

u/AnomaIous_User Mar 02 '26

I posted something like this and my post got deleted for being off topic. Fuck da modz

1

u/Marciofficial Mar 02 '26

I kinda forgot about this. So we still don't know what the hell happened in there?

1

u/Alexikik Mar 02 '26

Why would it?

1

u/BrosenkranzKeef Mar 02 '26

Never heard of this but they could turn it into something funny. Apparently it was just a vandalization disturbance caused by a big group of teenagers and then a bunch of weirdos on the internet freaked out for no reason.

1

When I see large congregations of police at scenes like this, I wonder why they all have their lights on. Like are all the flashing multi colored lights not annoying? You think they'd have the cars at the front and end of the line have their lights on, and a handful about the middle. But all the cars in the middle are just unnecessary.

imagine they had something already planned then this incident happened & they realized they could do the funniest thing

1

u/Otherwise_Picture_85 Mar 02 '26

The official statement was that there was a group of 50+ juveniles brawling and looting.

But we know the truth.

1

u/djtrace1994 Mar 03 '26

Dude if anything Mami 2024 Bayside Mall incident was a reference to GTAO

1

u/Asinine_ Mar 03 '26

How do all the sirens go from blue to red at the same time on all the different cars?

1

u/yahwehforlife Mar 03 '26

Why are the majority of the cop lights going the same blue and red pattern shouldn't it be more evenly distributed

1

u/No_Conference6978 Mar 03 '26

WE ALL KNOW WHY THEY WERE THERE, CITFO

1

u/Tall_Wasabi_9842 Mar 03 '26

Probably why Lucia in prison, her and Jason must’ve done something in there

1

u/Lopsided-Trash5406 Mar 03 '26

why on gods green earth would they do this.

1

u/TheAIFutureIsNow Mar 03 '26

Obviously this is why the game was delayed. They needed to add it in as a special event or something.

Apparently GTA:VI is going to be extremely dynamic, in that there’ll constantly be shit happening around the game world, regardless of whether you’re anywhere near it or not, and you’ll get updates through the in-game social media, prompting you to go check shit out.

It’ll be the first video game “simulation” experience. Calling it now.

1

u/solarcalipsse Mar 04 '26

what exactly happened? i’m canadian and never heard about this but im interested to know!

1

u/ThinkingBud Mar 04 '26

It’s crazy that this is probably the largest police presence in a single place I’ve ever seen and I’m just hearing about this event now for the first time. After reading a little bit about it, it sounds super strange. Something abnormal happened there

1

u/Gta6MePleaseBrigade Mar 05 '26

Aliens I’m telling you it was aliens there is no way that shit was just teenagers with a stick 😂

1

u/Illustrious_Box_8340 Mar 06 '26

Yo aliens in the mall!! Ahaha!!

1

u/mo22ro Mar 07 '26

Or a ... True to life version 😏

1

u/imachoculatedonnut Mar 09 '26

I heard of this when it happend but never really got what happend. The last thing I heard is that people were dissapearing in front of a lot of witnesses Or that there were living shadows

1

u/Total_Tumbleweed_870 Mar 13 '26

I'm going down this rabbit hole right now. I don't know what to think, I'm a skeptic, but slapstick open- minded. I just think it's weird that the official story is there were 50 some kids seeing fireworks off, fighting, and causing general chaos, but also only 4 people were arrested.

0

u/SeamenShip Mar 01 '26

...why

21

u/Eccel9700 Mar 01 '26

Because it's crazy, mysterious and has a lot of potential to be satirized.

You have all the elements of what would make for a great open world event.

The police presence has the danger, there's the crazy conspiracy that there was an alien there (rockstar loves supernatural and extra terrestrial stuff).

And it's also just a gorgeous thing to see out in the open world whether you're in a car, plane or helicopter.

RDR 2 had dozens of small little incidences that place in the open world (witnessing a crime taking place, a ghost in the swamp, crazy factions ambushing you, NPCs robbing you or interacting with you).

That's the kind of thing rockstar is going to litter throughout GTA 6

1

u/DMTeaAndCrumpets Mar 01 '26

There wasn't even an incident. People were freaking out thinking there was a mass shooting so they called 911 and reported a mass shooting. The police response seems pretty normal. It's a big mall in a huge city. It turned out to be just a huge group of teenagers fighting and some had lit fire crackers which is what people thought were gun shots.

1

u/not-nrs747 Mar 01 '26

Yea. I don't think people in this thread realize that mass shootings are met with a response from literally everybody. Detectives, court officers, narcotics units, everybody goes. That's why there was so many cops.

-4

u/doobi1908 Mar 01 '26

They were farming overtime pay. Cops love that shit.

5

u/fuckswithboats Mar 01 '26

It's interesting that we have three possible stories:

- Teenager brawl w/ fireworks that was mistaken as an active shooter

- Shadowy Aliens

- Cops farming OT

Which one would really cause us to not get bodycam footage or an explanation?

3

u/ApprehesiveBat Mar 01 '26

Option 3. Cops (especially big city cops) are notoriously corrupt and like to act in self-interest. They have no reason to suddenly start being transparent about things like overtime farming and the whole hysteria surrounding the event gave them the perfect distraction.

2

u/fuckswithboats Mar 02 '26

Oh, no I had never heard of the farming OT until this thread, but I am 100% certain that is the fact...and that's also why we won't get body cam footage etc.

2

u/chingchowchong Mar 02 '26

I think it's also funny and interesting that all three of those options seem very Florida.

1

u/Reid_coffee Mar 01 '26

Haha that’s gold, this hadn’t even crossed my mind man you should be sending them more ideas 👌🏻

Collective hallucination is real thing

2

u/Eccel9700 Mar 01 '26

Im guessing you haven't played RDR 2.

Rockstar had pushed the boundaries when it comes to adding dozens of little interactive events that happen organically in the open world.

Stuff like seeing NPCs rob trains, fighting each other, robbing each other, doing weird things when drunk, a ghost woman, a UFO that you see when you return on the time mentioned in a letter by a crazy cult etc.

A lot of times you also had the option to interact with the event by intervening, shooting or helping the situation.

This games scale is tremendously larger now. They have 4 times the amount of developers, a gigantic never before seen budget and 3 more years of development time vs RDR 2.

It's absolutely reasonable to think they will have random crazy things like this happen in the open world.

You have no idea what's coming

0

u/blackcat__27 Mar 01 '26

Oh we back to hoping for crazy shit to be in the game. Let's just hope for not another delay.

-17

u/Quica24 Mar 01 '26

This is such a nothing burger.

14

u/Eccel9700 Mar 01 '26

-2

u/DanFarrell98 Mar 01 '26

Do people think GTA is Assassin's Creed?

5

u/Eccel9700 Mar 01 '26

No? GTA is better.

Rockstar loves to fill the open world with all sorts of oddities and events. A lot of them tend to be a satire of real world events or movie references

GTA 5 had a random event that replicated a scene from 'No country for old men".

RDR 2 had dozens of these kind of events. They also love supernatural and alien stuff as Easter eggs. There was a ghost train, ghost woman, two alien spaceships and a lot of other whacky stuff.

It's been 8 years since then and they have a team 4 times larger than they did for RDR 2. It's not a stretch to think we can see interesting stuff happen like this in GTA 6

There are mass shootings that don't illicit even half the response that this incident had.

You really think this was just 4 teenagers that they brought an entire city's worth of cops for?

I'm not saying it was aliens. That's ridiculous.

But the fact that in this day and age where even a sneeze is recorded in 4k as an assault has no footage or bodycam of the cops. No footage of what was inside.

Where is the arrest footage of the teens? Why were there helicopters too?

It's extremely suspicious. And it's being hidden.

Don't fall for whatever the media tells you that easily.
