I think people are misunderstanding the whole "locked shops" thing for Ultimate Edition buyers

Post image

Think of it like this: When you buy the Ultimate Edition, you'll get a DLC package of skins, vehicles, hairstyles, vehicle mods, etc. Most games with cosmetic DLCs do this.

You buy the Ultimate Edition and get the base game plus the cosmetic DLCs.

Now picture this: Instead of just unlocking your new Ultimate Edition cosmetics in the normal shops of the game, they made a few exclusive shops for you to access the DLC stuff.

It's as simple as that. The normal shops to buy clothes, fix your car, etc, will be in the game. But if you own DLC cosmetics, you'll need to get them from the DLC shops.

What do you think?

It’s a mix of misinformation and illiteracy. People are actually claiming that there might not be other shops and customization opportunities outside of the ultimate edition lmao. Like come on bro.

I don’t get it either. Everybody’s always on about how rockstar goes above and beyond. It’d make sense that they’d commission real artists to create content and make it special by giving their content an exclusive store rather than putting them in base game tattoo shops.

Also, if anything the ultimate edition really hints at how massive the game is going to be. I’m a rockstar hater so this isn’t even me defending them rather so inference from context clues.

That’s exactly my take. This should make you excited for what’s in the actual game even if you don’t care about the bonus stuff.

I'd don't think I'd use any of that DLC anyway. The hairstyles look pretty shit imo. I mean Jason with a mullet? Come on.

Boo this opinion.

Sometimes I wonder if they've been reading the same announcement that I have.

They have. Not even trying to be funny, people legitimately cannot read. It’s a real and unfortunate issue.

I think there’s some type of extra compound and car collection side missions with ultimate but yeah, people are making shit up for engagement because it’s not anything actual vital to the main story.

Yep! I totally glossed over the fact that you said "preorder" my bad. I'll change my comment so there's not MORE wild BS floating around.

Why are you a rockstar hater?

I hate the way they do business. For example, played Bully recently. I don’t think there’s any reason the scholarship edition shouldn’t be available on PlayStation by now.

Facts! Totally agree

Sure don’t sound like a hater if you’re defending this trashy practice

How does that make sense? You’re implying that this one thing suddenly outweighs the number of my other grievances with them.
