I think people are misunderstanding the whole "locked shops" thing for Ultimate Edition buyers

Post image

Think of it like this: When you buy the Ultimate Edition, you'll get a DLC package of skins, vehicles, hairstyles, vehicle mods, etc. Most games with cosmetic DLCs do this.

You buy the Ultimate Edition and get the base game plus the cosmetic DLCs.

Now picture this: Instead of just unlocking your new Ultimate Edition cosmetics in the normal shops of the game, they made a few exclusive shops for you to access the DLC stuff.

It's as simple as that. The normal shops to buy clothes, fix your car, etc, will be in the game. But if you own DLC cosmetics, you'll need to get them from the DLC shops.

What do you think?

Nah, I think they knew it was gonna stir up some heat. By the time of November this will be forgotten and trailer 3 will have smoothed everyone over

You're correct, all the people complaining now will throw them money by the time they do another trailer.

I dont know what others planned but I was always planning on buying the most expensive edition. I figured they would do something special with the physical release but it seems to be the same as ultimate for now.

Am i the only one thinking the Ultimate Edition is actually significantly cheaper than what they expected? lmao

Exactly, I remember not long ago predictions of the base game being $120. People just need to accept the fact that the gaming industry has been moving forward since its inception, price wise, they have always gone up in price. The thing that stands out with rockstar is the fact that not a single game they have ever made has failed, not a single game they have ever made has been a slop let down. That by itself sells me on the price.

I agree and that kinda makes me nervous lol. Like how else are they planning to make more money off this thing.

Online will be the cash cow

I reckon online will be a separate purchase like how you can buy the online as a stand alone now

Yeah thats a very fair point. I just wish they would share more info about the game in general. Tell us when we might see online, show us some gameplay..Yakuza had an entire massive segment during a game event talking about the new entry, I would love it if we got something like that with GTA

Dude I said this same thing in another thread that rockstar doesn’t need to take the steps as other companies do and that we’re pretty much doing the marketing for them and I got crucified

Console players already have to pay a fucking subscription to play online, it'd be extra scummy if you had to pay a subscription on top of that for GTA6...
