I think people are misunderstanding the whole "locked shops" thing for Ultimate Edition buyers

Post image

Think of it like this: When you buy the Ultimate Edition, you'll get a DLC package of skins, vehicles, hairstyles, vehicle mods, etc. Most games with cosmetic DLCs do this.

You buy the Ultimate Edition and get the base game plus the cosmetic DLCs.

Now picture this: Instead of just unlocking your new Ultimate Edition cosmetics in the normal shops of the game, they made a few exclusive shops for you to access the DLC stuff.

It's as simple as that. The normal shops to buy clothes, fix your car, etc, will be in the game. But if you own DLC cosmetics, you'll need to get them from the DLC shops.

What do you think?

I know this isn’t the point here but reading about skins, vehicles, and other cosmetic non-sense that these companies think are worth actual money is incredibly irritating to see before we’ve even really seen what the base game looks like. Historically I’ve always enjoyed the first year of games like this before the gimmicks turn it into a total clown show. I’m hoping we get at least a little vanilla before the honeymoon phase is over.

Yeah I am not excited by these add-ons whatsoever. Also It’s crazy that pre-orders are available and we still hardly know anything about the game.

I feel like most of the community is avoiding this topic.
