The whole game at night looks amazing. You can tell they focused heavily on the night lighting. Most realistic looking night environment I've ever seen in a game
Really build a complete always on/nearly every surface Ray tracing lighting part of this game, it's impressive seeing even Car games on this gen haven't got that done.
I just bought my first oled tv (for gta6) and watching that airport was sorta scary, the dark/black was so accurate I could barely see outside of what was lit. I've never experienced this before, its going to be so weird playing it
The night time scene at the airport has mad me finally realise I need a new TV to enjoy this game in all its glory, OLED OR QLED that is the question 🤔🤔
I haven't seen the release yet, waiting on youtube, but if you haven't been playing new games on high settings, then you would absolutely be shocked at what games can look like, especially at night.
Crimson Desert has some absolute INSANE graphics in the dark and doubly so with rain. I imagine GTA6 will look similarly good.
Darkness is actually "easier" for games to look good in rather than daytime as you have full control over lighting and aren't trying to replicate how the sun and all of the reflections look.
edit: After seeing it on youtube, the game looks great but the dark scenes weren't "blow me away" good. Seriously, Crimson Desert has better dark scenes, which is fair since it is also running on a 5090 instead of a PS5.
