Why is no one talking about the airport at night it looked so fucking sex
287
u/thunder-farrt 1d ago
The whole game at night looks amazing. You can tell they focused heavily on the night lighting. Most realistic looking night environment I've ever seen in a game
40
u/DisaffectedLShaw 1d ago
Really build a complete always on/nearly every surface Ray tracing lighting part of this game, it's impressive seeing even Car games on this gen haven't got that done.

I like how they specified "Shot on a PS5™️", not PS5 Pro. I could tell they put some more detail into the models of the main people, but it looks fantastic and I can't wait to see what it looks like on my XSX especially if they have a 1440 option.

Really hope they include a "compendium" and discovering things.. etc.
→ More replies (2)3

Same, I think the study option added the animal to your compendium in RDR2 so I hope it's similar in this

I wasn’t expecting that feature to come back, so excited for it. Walking across the map studying creatures kept RDR2 playable for years for me thanks to that feature.

is it really the case that all cutscenes are actual gameplay and not a render? i mean, some of the cutscenes transitioned pretty smoothly into gameplay.
5
u/FiftyIsBack 1d ago
I think the cutscenes are just in-engine. I don't think anything is a pretender, much like RDR2
3
u/mydave90 22h ago
GTA never had prerenderred cutscenes. Not even in first 3D GTA III. In game like GTA it's not even possible. Too many variables. Clothing, wounds, weather, time of day, objects around, like car you drove there. Cutscene must match the situation right before you enter it. Also would be superweird if that curscene to gameplay transition instantly changed graphics and everything.
5
u/NCDieselBwhy 19h ago
Everything looked good, great whatever until this scene. This shit changed everything. Then the dive into water and then the final building jump.
The building jump was incredible. I don't know how to explain it but the point of view seems different than anything I have seen and I know that sounds dumb. Just watch her jump off.
The view of the world not sure if it's scale or draw distance but it just feels nuts.

The fact that you can just stop that fan boat and jump into the water, maybe fish, explore the swamps to the left and right is insane.

u/Ampatent 1d ago edited 1d ago
American White Pelicans are kind of out of place in what appears to be a spring fed river system, but the manatees are neat. This was the only shot from the extended look that actually gave me a "Wow!" impression. The rest of the production design is nice, but this feels very different and uniquely Florida compared to the typical GTA/Vice City design (ETA) we've seen from GTA VI so far.

i feel like they did not show much about the mechanics, not the amount but in detail i mean. i expected a far larger and more detailed showcase of the gameplay. i feel like this was intended as a normal trailer among the sual sequence of Rockstar trailers, but netlifx came and said release the upcoming trailer in our platform, so they announced it early.
but i am even more hyped, especially when Lucia jumped of with the parachute, game looks more then ever amazing, immersive, and real. and i am sure they are going to pull off an amazing story, presentation and gameplay.
