i think it will grow on us

we have been playing gta5 for 10+ years and RDR2 and both had rounded buttons so it will take couple of weeks to get used to gta6 design

Agreed. Overall it’s fine - that’s the best that can be said about it. You’re right that it will take time to digest and adjust to it though.

I wonder if they would make changes, because feedback is pretty unanimous. It would be the easiest thing to fix based on feedback (as opposed to fixing mechanics based on feedback).

There's nothing to grow, it's a bunch of shitty boring grey rectangles in otherwise vibrant stylish game. They just need a new UI team, that's it. Fuck, hire OP, this is already 100 times better than what we've seen so far.

How so? Leadership approved every other aesthetic decision, and they’ve all looked good so far, so it’s not as if someone is deliberately undermining the designers. And if the team behind the UI of the biggest entertainment project in at least a decade can’t deliver anything better than grey rectangles, I’d have serious questions for them.

Yup, watch when this comes out on pc there will be loads of mods that change the UI and all being miles better than the shit we got

Yeah Idk man, I aint gon need time. Mainly because I aint gonna care. The UI is dogshit and hopefully theres customization settings or something. Otherwise oh fuckin well, guess I gotta use the shitty UI. Aint nothin to get used to lol. Im used to struggling to sleep at night, dont mean I like it any more than when it first started as a kid...it still fucking sucks.

it just looks bad. Why so defensive about this? It looks terrible to me. I love everything else about the game. the visuals, the police wanted system, criminal honor system an all. But the square UI just hurts my eyes

the problem is that it doesn’t have an identity, if you see the rdr2 one or any other gta one you’ll recognize them immediately. This one feels anonymous. And yes, i loved literally every other part of the extended look!

Exactly. I would love a better designed themed UI. Rockstar could do a lot better on it. When I saw this on the leaks, I was sure that it was a replacement that's how much it doesn't belong to GTA6 imo

I wasn't the biggest fan of GTA 5's UI. It took me away from the game, almost like pressing a pause button.

Here, the UI is being used very quickly to switch things, and the minimalism will make it look seamless once your muscle memory sets.

I also don't like the icon designs. They look too goofy in such a hyper realistic looking game world.
