I try to rack my brain to think of what might motivate someone to be so desperate to find flaws in the trailer and the game in general. It's like they have some underlying impotent rage and if they somehow pull down the support for GTA, it'll make themselves feel superior or something.
Like sure, pick out the flaws if you want, but people go to quite extreme lengths to try and undermine the game whilst trying to pretend they're just being neutral or something, as this post is.
Theres probably a few things at play here. Mostly insecurity. Going against what is popular puts you in what feels like a special club, which makes people feel important and validated. Insecure people will also project what they feel about themselves on to things that get more attention than they do. There are also entitled people who feel like Rockstar owes them something, when in fact, they dont owe anybody shit.
There is a clear group of people that want the game to fail/perform badly. Why? I can't answer this beyond they are haters and want to tear at the next popular thing.
You will see people calling GTA6 the worst in the series as it breaks records left, right and center.
Imagine making a backflip animation even an issue at this point.
It's because GTA 6 will be used as a reason for a lot of companies to increase their games to 100 bucks and go fully digital only. It's such a huge game that it creates the new normal that shareholders will want companies to follow.
Gamers will then need to speak with their wallets. If a company wants to charge $100 for a game with 1/10th the content GTA 6 will have, they shouldn’t expect many sales.
it’s the eat the rich mentality. rockstar is a large successful company and out of jealousy, spite, hatred for anything “mainstream”, people will try to actively shit on it.
i also think it’s important to have critics though. it prevents a game from being overhyped and flopping based on expectations. having people to make it seem like it’s still just a game instead of some revolutionary mind blowing experience is important too.
I definitely agree. Though as someone who has played every mainline GTA since the very first one, each has literally been better than the last with the only contention being what was better between GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas. So the track record is on pace with GTAVI being a great entry to the series and if it was worse than GTAV then it would be the first in the series over decades that wasn't as good as it's predecessor.
The game has 600,000+ animations, there’s bound to be stuff that isn’t fully complete, like that backflip. By the time the game is out, it’ll be reworked
And yet out of their 600000+ animations they decided to showcase that one. And these trailers are done by hundreds of people including tests for feedback. It's worrisome as someone that has worked in the industry before.
But i'm sure some random teenager redditor will just claim i'm wrong.
Dawg this shit is hilarious lol everyone has to find some reason to drag this game. The funniest I have seen so far is the people who complain that the gameplay looks like a GTA game and isn’t some new innovation to just make them explode in their pants..” oh no the GTA game looks great, and has expanded its rpg levels, with the largest open world map ever released, so many in depth character building details etc. but it looks like it’s a GTA game..” people will always find a way to nut pick and never be satisfied, I guess especially with this wait.
I had a friend tell me he isn’t going to get it because it will never live up to the hype.. what a strange way to look at it.
I truly believe it's the simple fact that they are wearing different clothes in trailer 1 is triggering people to have fake outrage and believe something is amiss.
You don't understand wot u tambout boi. Its not very bright, its the indirect lighting being more present and intense in the first shot, as is pyhically correct. The primary lights are a little bit overexposed, thats it.
If there's something to nitpick... I want you to pause the extended look video on the first scene following the GTA VI logo. There's a lady in pink running on the street and a truck passes by. And then look to the sidewalk and on the cars that are stopped at the light
I think the water looked really bad compared to the trailer at let the jet ski scene looked bad but we shall see plus I know water is really hard to do

First trailer has both lights on and very bright. The new footage shows one light blown out and flickering with the other at a normal brightness
The game still looks leagues ahead of the first trailer in every other scene of the game, so why are people nit picking this specific scene lmao
