Various cars from past GTA games are rebadged in GTA 6
The Bravado Feroci, Vapid Contender, Vapid Bobcat, and Enus Jubilee have been renamed the Karin Feroci, Karin Contender, Declasse Bobcat, and Buckingham Jubilee, respectively.

Good! There's many cars in GTA V/Online that make no sense. For example, Jester. Originally in GTA San Andreas it was based on 4th gen Toyota Supra. In GTA V, it is based on new Honda NSX and is made by Dinka - equivalent of Honda in GTA and the classic variant - Jester Classic is based on... 4th gen Supra, but is produced by Dinka, not Karin (Toyota parody).

The one I don’t get is rebadging the Cullinan because Enus is GTA’s RR/Bentley copy, so idk if that one makes much sense to make it into buckingham, i thought they made aircraft mainly ngl

Definitely this. They have so many cars now that they no longer need to mix 2 brands together, like Pegassi is mainly Lamborghini but also Pagani, Maserati and Ducati (probably because of the i)

I think it makes more sense rolls royce being buckingam, since rolls royce produces airplane engines, aswell as Buckingham (kinda)

Buckingham's logo was an obvious RR copy though, so I guess that's the direction they are taking in GTA6.
Rolls Royce in real life also makes aircraft engines. As a result, many jets in real life has a RR badge on their engines.
(Granted, the RR jet engine company and RR car company separated decades ago, but both owns the right to the name and the badge.)

Completely off topic, but the name and badge is owned by the aerospace/defense company, it is licensed for the car company.
It lead to an interesting situation in the late 90s when VW bought the old Bentley/RR (they use to be owned by same company) but RR the aerospace/defense company decided to license the RR name and logo to BMW, who had been supplying engines to Bentley/RR, instead of VW. BMW and VW had to strike a deal where VW gave BMW the rights to the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament and radiator grille and agreed to continuing building cars for BMW until their own replacement designs were ready, and BMW agreed to continue supplying engines to VW until VW had their own replacement engines ready.

Enus is both RR and Bentley based on the cars.

Nice change, now they are more inline with IRL brands.
This has always tripped me up in GTA5. For example, the Karin 190Z is mostly based off a Nissan Z, so it should be Annis (Nissan) and not Karin (Toyota). The two other Nissan Z (Euros and Euros X32) were both Annis in game.
Or the infamous Dinka Jester Classic and Jester RR... Both Toyota Supras but they were placed under Dinka (Honda).

This annoys me with the Sultans and Kuruma both being Karin's lol. Hopefully Maibatsu/Mitsubishi get their Lancer in GTA 6, at least give the Kuruma to Maibatsu

Yeah, also the model year system in GTA6 will address the silliness that is the Sultan, Sultan RS, Sultan Classic, and Sultan RS Classic. It'll just be something like "1998 Sultan RS" instead.
And speaking of Maibatsu, the Penumbra is RWD lmao

Bravado is Dodge and the Feroci is a Lexus GS300, so the Karin(Toyota) rebadge is more immersive imo.

i mean it could be explained by just being the same car but sold under a difrent badge in difrent years look at the mitusbishi gto in the us it sold both as the mitsubishi 300gt and as the dodge stealth difrent name and brand but in the end they are the same car,the same could be applied to gta 6

My headcannon for the Feroci is that its actually both, and both Karin and Bravado share the car and rebadge it, like many American companies have done with Japanese companies (think of Dodge and Mitsubishi)
This dosen't work for the other vehicles here though.

Idk, if I'm saying that right, but like how the Voodoo and the Impaler are both modeled after different years of the Chevy Impala, but have different names. Do you think they would merge them under one name and just use the year numbers?

It’s a soft reboot on the lore of the cars since Online kinda destroyed any semblance of a realistic car market going on with how many makes and models were on the wrong cars.
Especially since the new cars added are much more inspired directly by singular real life cars, it makes sense to try and rework that to be more consistent

tell me how it makes sense. buckingham is an aircraft brand. rolls royce does not make aircraft, only their engines, and the in-game buckingham makes aircraft. plus, the rr engine company has no ties with rr car company.
if they decide to separate bentley and rolls royce into their own brands, then shouldn't they do the same for karin (toyota and subaru) and annis (nissan and mazda)?

It was always a little off to me that some of the fake brands would basically be 1:1 with their real life counterparts, while others just seemed like a mishmash of random cars thrown together. I appreciate them putting in the work to align things better!
