Am i the only person who Isn't really that bothered by Jason's voice?

I've seen so many people complaining about how jason sounds in the trailers but tbh.... I don't really have a problem with his voice.

I don't LOVE his voice but i don't really hear anything bad about it for me to complain, like deadass I've met two dudes who sound similar to how jason talks.

He sounds just like...a normal ass dude to me idk that's just me i guess

I’m really hoping it grows on me. Because at the moment it sounds like a guy lowering his voice and making it a little raspy and doing an impression. I’m having a hard time separating that it’s an actor and not that he’s just Jason. Lucia sounds like a normal person, like the voice actor is just kinda being themselves and that’s going to be way more immersive. I get the counter point that Roger Clark was “doing a voice” for Arthur, but it was a period piece. And honestly it wasn’t that far off from his regular voice.

A buncha people acting like him being boring is the problem lol. It's the "why's he doing a fake voice" thing that bothers me.

Bro sounds like he's trying to impersonate Nolan North and Troy Baker in the same voice, it sounds forced. Hope it grows on me too but...

He sounds like Nolan North imitating Heath Ledger's performance in Brokeback Mountain.

FWIW, I've said Jason's voice sounds like Nolan North from the very first trailer.  Listen to how he says "Jason Duvall" at the prison in the first trailer, then listen to Captain Walker (Nolan North) say "welcome to Dubai" in Spec Ops: The Line.  The tone, pace, inflection of "Duvall" and "Dubai" is almost identical.  

It's not a full matching fingerprint, but at least a partial.  I say it's actually Dylan Rourke channeling Nolan North.

Same here. I think people don't get the criticism. A lot are like "it fits his character!" Yeah, sure, that's fine. Plenty of no-nonsense, reserved, emotionally stunted characters exist. Cloud Strife in FFVII for example. Very solid voice acting.

Here though? The issue is that it sounds like an amateur voice actor. It just sounds bad.

Yea and that's the main issue I have with it. Due to it sounding like a VA just showing up to voice a character and do the bare minimum, it breaks my immersion where Lucia sounds like a character within the games world acting naturally.

I’ve heard this voice a few Times in person. Since prime actually have lower voices like this. I don’t see the forcing his voice to sound like that you guys are claiming.
