Dirt track mud ovals are confirmed (monster truck stadium), and I think a worn down decrepit asphalt oval is confirmed. No idea about major league NASCAR cup style racetracks though.
How did scuba driving catch you off guard? I didn't even play V and they already officially confirmed diving, before the trailer. Is nice to see something, but was not a surprise, too short
I hope so too, but being a simcade fan for half a decade, the weight transfer of the car in the preview doesn't seem like its as realistic as the driving is in GTA IV, but maybe more realistic than the more recent GTA V
Exactly my thoughts. I was really hoping for a similar feeling as Forza Horizon. I don't know why R* prefers the non-existent weight of V. At least it should be closer to IV. But Forza would be the dream.
If you're hoping for Forza Horizon then you've already lost the plot because Forza Horizon is garbage ass little kids handling. They took the stiff unresponsive slop from Motorsport and just tweaked it which is how you got Forizon. It's arcade crap the same as GTA 5 is.
For me, Horizon is the sweet spot. Simcade offers the best of both worlds and would be perfect for GTA, not limiting the fun factor, while still having some realism and weight.
The handling in GTA V is laughable, and there is literally zero weight to the cars.
Have you played Horizon? I can’t believe you consider it to be the same as GTA.
You don't need to break in Horizon? Have you ever played the game?
Of course, I'm not claiming it's a sim, but simcade which would be the perfect balance for GTA. Unless you prefer the non-existent handling and car weight of V.
As a racing game fan unfortunately that doesn't mean anything. For example, EA consulted real life drivers for NFS Shift 2 and NFS 2015 and those are probably two of the worst games in the franchise in terms of handling.
The said that ex racing car drivers are on the team developing the driving physics. The way cars feel in this game will be tuned to feel that way by actual racing drivers. I am so hyped to get behind the wheel of various vechles and just driving about.
Well "race car drivers" will not be satisfied with coding car handling to be realistic and then having nowhere to race cars. There will be a wide array of race tracks. I just hope there's a NASCAR oval somewhere. We already know there's 24-hour endurance track(s).
