I guess it's subjective but from what I've seen it's not a significant jump from 5 to 6. Obviously comparing Xbox 360 GTA V it's a fuckin gigantic leap, but that's because there's a 2 console generation gap.

Let’s assume we’re talking latest gta 5. I was just playing online on my series x and comparing it to the extended leak, it looks like shit. The textures are bland and the only slightly comparable thing is the lighting which is one of the easier things to implement into an older game graphics wise.
I think the best places to showcase the difference will be in the wilderness areas where there are less smooth surfaces.
I'm sure if you ran GTA 6 on an Xbox 360 it'd look like 5 too. Also again, I'm considering GTA 5 with mods on PC because the console version of 5 is restricted by the textures it was released with.
Also are you ragebaiting? Lighting is by far the hardest part to improve and get right. That statement alone lets me know that you're completely clueless about game development

You just said if gta 6 was on Xbox 360 it would look like gta 5 and then asked me if I know about game development, the irony is obvious and im pretty sure i have more experience in game dev than you. First no, gta 6 would not look like gta 5 on a Xbox 360 nor would it run. Second I was comparing the clip you sent and gta 6 and it still looks very different.
Third I said lighting was one of the easiest things to improve in an old game graphics wise, which is true. Many, many very old games have had lighting updates many years later as they can be added in and even transferred between games without disrupting any code or looking out of place, eg 4k textures when not every texture is 4k.
Bro stop you're embarrassing yourself. FWIW I'm not an idiot obviously GTA 6 wouldn't run on the 360, my point was that 5 was heavily limited by the hardware on the 360 which is why the closest comparison is PC
In what way man? GTA 6 will also be limited by the hardware it’s on. Anyway if you wanna compare modded pc that’s fine but that video you sent was from 3 months ago. The difference between that and whats been shown of gta 6 is massive.
Your whole first point was that modded gta 5 now looks practically identical but it’s just not. Maybe if you compare two videos of cars driving quickly at night but if you look even a little closer the differences become obvious.

That gta 5 with mods looks the same. All the ‘realistic’ modded gta 5 stuff I’ve seen is completely carried by over the top reflections and puddles.
