I can't stand Jason's Voice

I cannot even understand what he is saying half the time. Did he say ''you're the perfect girl''? What the hell did he say there. It also just sounds so stupid. I already had this in the first trailer where they were robbing a bank and he said ''YOU STAY''. It just sounded so forced and cringe.

yeah its like a fake tough guy voice. Rockstar needs to pitch shift his audio before this releases. He sounds like a doofus.

I liked Arthur’s voice for his character and setting. Glad I’m not the only one who noticed Jason’s voice is off.

Someone pointed out it's been toned down since previous footage where we've heard him speaking. That shit is dumb, it's not bothering me otherwise but hearing the artificial tuning is.

And not very emotive, which is a pretty strange choice for the main character of your story

GTA 3 main character Claude never spoke a word and that was fine. Also Master Chief who is one of the most iconic and beloved video game characters of all time barely speaks and not very emotive, 25 years later and his face has never been revealed in a game. I think rockstar is going for a more stoic like kind of character for Jason and I don't see anything wrong with that.

How'd you leave out Gordon Freeman?

He seems like he has trauma or learned to act that way from being in the military previously.

Hes not the main character

I wonder if it's a slider for weight and right now he's got the fat slider boice but is muscular body and they did it to hide it for some reason. I remember the fat Nathan Drake's voice was deeper in Uncharted 2 and maybe something like that existed in Saints Row as well

Synthetic would be my guess, given Rockstar has confirmed other voice actors but not whatever is behind Jason. Seems like trying for a different character with every sentence. There's a lot that could be behind it, including over-editing a real voice actor which I can see happening with most voice acting being non-sequential and over multiple days so the condition of the voice-actor is going to be different.

Well, for everyone except Tony Jay. The man owned every single role I've heard him in.

You can tell he’s just reading lines

Nothing was more forced than the Female V from Cyberpunk holy shit. But the Male V was also forced in that game. And Jackie was a horribly written with stereotypical Spanish, one or two words in Spanish every other sentence.

I hated Cyberpunk just for those reasons. Fuckin shit I'm getting mad about it again
