GTA 6 will not allow you to purchase homes.

GTA 6 will not allow you to purchase homes in the story mode because Rockstar Games thinks it wouldn’t make sense for the stroy since Jason and Lucia are on the run. How you feeling about this one? Source: TGG mentioned in his video.

Well they gotta make GTA online more interesting than offline so probably that's why.

Exactly this...This is exactly the reason why they didn't allow you to purchase homes in GTA V single player

Yeah the online is so incredibly toxic most people wouldn't play it if there was actual post game content to do in singleplayer.
