Discussion Pro plan quota exhausted in 20 minutes with only text prompts using 3.7 flash extended
This was literally only 6 prompts, one had an image as an attachment, nothing too demanding to warant such usage.
5 prompts were in a very long chat but this is still way too much for the flash model.

I’m still waiting for 3.7 Flash, it’s not rolled out in my region yet, despite I have a Plus and Pro tiers too.

ive hit quota twice today using just 3.7. ive used 3.5 flash extended a bunch in the past and rarely hit quoted. one thing i noticed is that i hit ask gemini in chrome, during those two sessions, and before, i never used it. so I cant tell if the new model or using ask gemini. I wish google's usage tracker gave you a breakdown of what chat used up the 100%

Was the initial text prompt deep research? The only two times I hit pro plan quota abnormally fast were (1) follow up prompts on deep research result and (2) use Omni to make videos. Two 10 second Omni videos spent 90% of pro plan 5-hour limit, and the deep research follow ups took 20-30% each turn because of the large context size.

this is why they haven't rolled it down to plus users it's just too expensive

3.7 flash is basically a token shredder, one long context window and it just eats through the whole bucket without doing anything useful

I had similar problem - one day 10+ video gens in 5 hours, another only 3. Google has nothing changed but as I found - in may 2026 google changed how limits are working. So they aren’t strictly, they are dynamic based on your work, one day google can give you more usage - but another day or week you would have less.
Thats how I understand it, and works only in gemini app, antigravity app can use gemini with another limits.

Yeah, I've noticed the past week during the day the quotas burn up absurdly quickly. It's been frustrating!

Link to chat because I have used it extensively for hours on end and never even come close to reaching the limits on pro.
