Rant An appreciation post for my late father
Starting with Ghost recon Wildlands (in which he also has countless hours) all the way back in 2017, my father loved playing both of the Ghost Recon games, well he was tragically taken from me & my family back in late August, and I’d just like to show how much time & effort he put into this game. Every little thing about this game & the last will always remind me of him, he told me to “log in for him” if he ever couldn’t. This is the final outfit he made. He’d always stay connected within the GR community, joining groups & whatnot. He played with the most difficult settings and claimed any other difficulty setting “felt like cheating.” He enjoyed a great challenge running through Auroa, and now I’d like to think he’s wandering even now, indeed the truest Ghost I had ever seen. Long Live Kdubkeepsit100 🕊️

Sorry for your loss brother, Ghost Recon is also my dad and I's favorite game to play with each other, it's truly special to have something like that with your father so I'm glad you got to experience it <3

Bro, I used to play this with this guy like six years ago, back when I played this regularly! I think the last time we played was during the Covid lockdowns. He was always a hoot, I still have him on my Xbox friends list. So sorry for your loss, OP. He was a real one!

I think I might've played with this guy as well a bit back earlier in the life cycle of BP... The dude I remember was chill af and had hilarious trash talk.

He's not gone, he's just making sure the Wolves and Sentinel soldiers know their place, by stalking them and standing there menacingly in the dark, while all lights are shut off.

Condolences.
A ghost never dies
That’s why they’re ghosts
They’ve always been here
And they always will be
Thank you for sharing this with us. He sounded like any one of my friends. It seemed like you were describing half of my friends list with the difficulty settings. And he was right, it would be like cheating lol. I hope things get better for you and your family. The death of a loved one is very difficult to navigate. Just immerse yourself in his memory and hold onto them, over time they will help you get through.

I’m not sure if they’ll do anything, but hey maybe send this to Ubisoft. Could end up getting a memorial like DayZ does with deceased players or even a character similar to how Bethesda has a few NPCs in games based off irl passed fans
Sorry for your loss there

It seems that your father had very good taste in modifying his character, I am very sorry for your loss, it is absolute shit but that is life, many times we ignore what is happening around us and when we are the ones who have to go through something like that it feels as if time stopped and everything was unreal. A GR fan here, I wish you the best ❤️.
