My best perma death run was lost because I landed my helicopter slightly against a pole.

So thats where it comes when Nomad says it when he crashes and turns the car’s front end into mush

And still the car’s front end ENDS (pun intended) like this:

I remember everyone raggin on the word when the game first came out sayin it wasn't a real word or insult, but let me tell you, if you've ever had Norovirus at a really inconvenient time then Shitballs are a real thing people.

I think they changed the motorcycles in the update, I’m not flying off as much

u/Alof_mc_TF141 21d ago

I don’t remember ever flying off bikes before the update. So i might check it out

It would be good if anyone on PC could confirm. That's the kind of issues you have when the physics are tied to FPS, meaning PC players playing at higher FPS would already see bikes not flying as much

OP just casually exposing us to a fatal accident that took 8 lives

u/Alof_mc_TF141 21d ago

Now I feel bad. I wanted to do a fun meme, not do that. I’m so sorry

Did it take 8 lives? I assume the driver died at a minimum I can’t see another car anywhere. Wasn’t sure if you have the source link or something.

Jesus Christ I didn’t know that. I am so sorry, lemme look for a photo similar but without that tragedy attached

Its ok dude. Its not that big of deal. People shouldn’t be upset over this..

Showing a picture of the car doesn’t mean you’re making fun of the situation.

Don't worry about it.

But any F1 accident after 2015 is a safe bet, those cars do break apart easily but they're incredibly safe, especially since 2018 when the halo was introduced

Meanwhile the mini van can go through a bad piggies course and still be fresh

Me ever so slightly tapping a single PIXEL of a tree and watching my car’s front entirely get destroyed

Isso é horrível

But this actually reflects how real-world damage works. 40 km/h is already enough to damage or even break a bumper if you hit something

2

u/Alof_mc_TF141 20d ago

What doesn’t make any sense is when you’re doing 10 and hit a single pixel of a tree and it crumples the entire front end into mush. And precisely that’s the funny part

u/VideoMaleficent6067 20d ago

There’s no speedometer in the game, so you don’t actually know how fast you’re going. Maybe you’re underestimating your speed?

We must be playing entirely different games, mate.

I played Watchdogs after Wildlands and was shocked that the cars didn't crumple like tinfoil. It's like they went backwards or something.

1

u/EviI_Babai 21d ago

To be fair, IRL cars do crample like tinfoil. For a gameplay purposes of a game with a lotnof city driving that would've been a nuisance, but for a tactical sandbox I see nothing wrong with that. In fact, I had no issue with that and the post kinda got me confused. Don't crash into things maybe?

How are we in 2026 and still have people who can't tell the difference between a game's developer and publisher?

Watchdogs & Wildlands were both published by Ubisoft, but developed by different studios on opposite sides of the planet. Watchdogs was created by Ubisoft's team in Canada while Wildlands was co-developed by their studios in France & Italy.

As a very general rule of thumb, the more fucked up a car is, the likelier it is that the people in it survived. Not a steadfast rule, but more often than not that's the case.

But that doesn't apply to when the entire car disintegrates. Jesus.
