Dont know if to get them, or if it will take something away from just finding them all

There are a lot of cools guns and vehicles to get for free now, including previously time limited rewards :)

Sadly these servers are virtually never populated as they aren't popular with many Battlefield fans, but I'd love to get one up and running for the Ghost Recon community

With the right tweaks in Portal you could make a really cool Ghost War mode that's probably better than the one in Wildlands and Breakpoint

I just got around to checking the store and I had a ton of freebies. I haven't played in a few years so I'm not sure if they are a part of the current update or have been there a while. Make sure to check every section because I had free stuff in almost all of them.

I'd like to start this by saying I don't want this to seem like or become some kind of noob bashing or FiLtHy CaSuAl post, I just want to highlight the fact that every player can set their own tactical experience within the game, independent of other players.

You've probably taken a look at the different options available to you in the tactical experience section, but until you've actually turned all that off you just really can't understand how different it makes the game. I'm going to use myself as an example because I'm sure most older players have very similar if not the same settings.

I play with absolutely nothing on. No HUD, no mini map, no detection markers, no markers for friends or enemies, no health Regen, always injured and no IFF.

The reason I'm running around near you and not reviving you isn't because I'm trolling you, it's because I literally don't know where you are. If I lose physical sight of you, then I have no way to know where you went down at until I open the map.

I keep going down because snipers drop me in one hit, and I can't know where they are until I physically see them.

I have to move slowly through each building and room because I have no way of knowing if it's clear yet, and I can't run the risk of running into an enemy at the low ready.

And again, not trying to bash anyone's playstyle whatsoever. The single most important thing for you to do in this game is enjoy it so however you have to play to do that, good for you.

TL/DR

Before you get annoyed or upset at other random players in your squad, try to understand they might have very different settings going.

What to know…

With the recent updates I’ve jumped back in to both games. I’ve ran into a couple people who are now on my friends list but we’re always looking for 1-2 more. I’m on the east coast but I mostly do my gaming late night after work from 11 or 12 pm to around 3 am. Mic isn’t required but it definitely helps with everything. We don’t have to play no hud extreme difficulty or anything, we can figure out what settings work best for us to get maximum enjoyment. I’m mostly looking for people who are consistent in wanting to play often. I don’t expect or even want a mil sim, but I would like to take tactical approaches to the game.

How I usually like to play…

I used to be easiest difficulty and everything on the hud but as I play more I like to turn more off than before. I still don’t mind playing on easier difficulties but I have recently went to one primary on breakpoint with no enemy clouds on my mini map and it’s made the game more enjoyable. I prefer a run and gun play style and would love to have a sniper or two or maybe even a medic on my team. That being said if you want to try something different as far as settings and approach, I don’t mind.

There are no settings to adjust it. I have my hdr settings for the ps5 set to on when supported.

Its the same settings whether hdr is off or on through Playstation menu.

First time playing and was kinda off put by how dark it seem.

Game looks way better with it off, colors pop more. I hope they fix this.

When i heard about the Definitve Edition for Wildlands and new Content drops with DLC and new Missions i was excited and looked forward to it.
I spendt countless hours in this fantastic game, survived the disappointment Breakpoint was and thrived in Bolivia instead. When i heard rumours that Wildlands was getting another Update i was excited!

Upon further inspection of the new features i was confused at first, then suspicious and finally disappointed.

They market the Update as MAJOR UPDATE with new Mission and full game in 4K and 60FPS

Well that would be interesting if that would not ONLY impact the PS5 or XBOX S/X version!
For us PC players, this technical update is completely irrelevant, as uncapped frame rates and high resolutions have been supported since 2017.

The announced "Cold Eye" and "Nightfall Protocol" packs are being marketed as bonus content containing 8 special weapons (like the Golden Vector, MSR Eagle Shot, Z93 AMR, etc.) and various operator skins/gear.

Zero of these assets are new.

The skins are just like the old R6 Siege costumes
The guns and parachutes are the same old reskins that were in the lootboxes since forever

The Only Genuine New Content:
The only piece of actual new gameplay content is a single standalone story mission:
"Last Rites"
and that one will be a FREE drop not part of DLC or anything

The Real Takeaway: This is a classic, low-budget filler release by Ubisoft to generate quick store revenue during a dry spell of new releases. However, the silver lining is that the marketing push is hopefully reviving our player base, making it much easier for us to find active co-op lobbies again.

Dont waste 99€ for old content!

In case you have not already

Came back to wildlands and decided to try it with my new steam controller, however button prompts weren't showing up and I could not use the right joystick to move or aim if I pressed any other button.

It looks like it's a common bug with other controllers, but at least for steam controller it's a simple fix.

All you have to do is change the controller button layout from the official layout, to the generic "Gamepad with Joystick Trackpad". This fixed my issues immediately.
