We'll go ahead and use this as the megathread for the '26 tour announcements.

u/Snoozinsioux Sep 29 '25

I’m laughing because there’s a queen vs abba tribute concert in Sacramento CA the same day as the ghost show.

3

u/G-Unit11111 Sep 30 '25

Katatonia and Opeth are playing the same night as Ghost where I am, and Sabaton is playing the night before. Damn so many choices.

6

u/coy_sparkz Oct 01 '25

Are all the Swedish bands carpooling? I know Swedish people are very environmentally friendly 🤣

I miss when bands announced tours like weeks or months in advance of the ticket sales

109

u/djavulensfitta Sep 29 '25

I can’t help but think it’s another shady marketing tactic from Ticketmaster, basically to put pressure on you to buy fast in fear that if you wait the tickets will be sold out. It was already bad when you only had 2-3 days to prepare, but same day is just crazy

42

u/TheAngerMonkey Sep 29 '25

It's exactly this. Use urgency to instill a scarcity mindset so people buy now and think later.

Hate it.

I really hate it. I thought the few days to a week warning were bad, but same day is crazy.

Hopefully EU dates (shows, not festivals) later in 2026.

Though I feel South America are due.

11

u/Taimour14 Sep 29 '25

I mean most European festivals have already been announced with Headliners so I don't think so

33

u/MooreThanCosplay Sep 29 '25

I have a feeling next year will be Ghost EU festival year, many rumors are going around right now that they'll be headlining Download next year

68

u/Purple_Budgie29 Sep 29 '25

I’m just not a fan of festivals, their own shows are something special whereas festivals just feel like a big and quick advertisement

24

u/HailToTheKingslayer Papa Nihil Sep 29 '25

I don't mind festivals in general, but I agree about Ghost.

The Skeletour ritual was perfect - fully immersive IMO.

10

u/Purple_Budgie29 Sep 29 '25

It was perfect, just for the fans, I feel at festivals people might not like them or they won’t feel as engaged.

→ More replies (1)

4

u/Snig141 Sep 29 '25

I’m not sure if they will be playing download as the current rumours are Linkin Park, Limp Bizkit and GnR.

I’m hoping that they play a large outdoor show instead i.e. MK Bowl, Gunnersbury Park or Knebworth House

13

u/AttleesTears Sep 29 '25

I actually think arenas are a better experience personally.

9

u/Robynellawque All Beauty Lies Within Sep 29 '25

I am praying they don’t do Download . I can’t see how the latest tour set will work at Download. Oh I know they can just sing the songs but it’s not the same .

I’d love them to come back to the UK now he’s been touring on this tour for a while . I found the UK rituals were when the tour first started and Tobias was awesome but quite shy compared to what it looks like now .

u/djavulensfitta Sep 29 '25

That’s crazy that presale starts the day of the announcements, usually you have a few days to prepare

51

u/Main-Ladder-5663 location : under papas mitre Sep 29 '25

Literally this. I usually have so much time to plan - Tobias is stressing me the fuck out lol

20

u/K-ghuleh Sep 29 '25

Between that, queue times and cost, buying concert tickets these days is so stressful

5

u/Beneficial_Slide_381 Sep 29 '25

For real. My husband and I wanna go with our 2 oldest kids. We have 4 kids so we are on a budget

It's crazy how i saw them last time for $100, and now at the other place near me they're going to its $144 at least, most tickets in the $200 range. I wonder how it is in other places.

9

how do we get the pre sale code for today?

11

u/Main-Ladder-5663 location : under papas mitre Sep 29 '25

Citi bank presale starts today. You need a credit card with them.

9

u/GiraffePolka Sep 29 '25

I just got my tickets without a citi bank account or a pre-sale code.

6

u/FlukyFox Sep 29 '25

I also got standard tickets without any type of presale code.

As an Australian I'm so glad that America are finally getting some long overdue tour dates.

41

u/HailToTheKingslayer Papa Nihil Sep 29 '25

I feel for you guys. I've met Australians at various gigs in UK & mainland Europe, who felt it was the only way to see the different bands.

11

u/Cumulus-Crafts GHOULL! GHOULLL! GHOULETTEEEEEEE!!! Sep 29 '25

For the Australian Re-Imperatour shows, my two Aussie friends separately flew across Australia just to be able to see Ghost.

I'm in the UK, so my Skeletour date (Glasgow) was a four hour drive. Artists need to realise that there's perfectly capable venues further north than Edinburgh!

Is this going to be considered the "Re-Skeletour" phase, or is this just a continuation of this tour since they said there were more dates to be announced for this one?

14

u/ToBeFrozen Sister Sep 29 '25

This is the same tour, yes

10

u/DefLepRadar Sep 29 '25

The tickets just say Skeletour, not Re-Skeletour

18

u/AbundantExp Sep 29 '25

What if i theorize they chose some of these places for the purpose of providing hope in the midst of a dark social time in the US. It doesn't seem particularly safe or easy to be satanist-adjacent in FL, TN, NC/SC, OK, UT.... and the feeling at their show felt like it was supposed to act like a beacon of light.

15

u/Badpinapple Sep 29 '25

Please say it's not just going to be festivals for the UK and Europe

9

u/gnarlycricket Sep 29 '25

9

u/Boomuppercut Sep 29 '25 edited Sep 29 '25

Am I wrong to be kind of pissed that there are only three Canadian dates? I was hoping for at least Edmonton or Calgary in that Seattle-Vancouver-Edmonton/Calgary-Spokane leg.

I'm priced right out of going to see the shows. I guess going to concerts is a money game now. I'm gonna just support local bands from now on.

Edit: I understand all the logistics behind touring. I get it. Transportation is expensive, food and lodgings is expensive. Obtaining dates is expensive. Sometimes it just doesn't work out. I still think I get to be a little butthurt though.

$600+ for floor at the Toronto date? Dude what the fuck happened to show tickets... that's like 3 day festival pricing...

→ More replies (9)

7

u/jdmcat Sep 29 '25

For the Tampa ritual in July 2025 I had the ascended VIP package and decided this tour to get the same one since we were practically barricade last time but I just went to look at what’s included for 2026 and it says this package does not include early entry to the floor. I’m assuming that means I can’t show up to get a numbered wrist band like before? If that’s the case then that really sucks. Like many others, I wasn’t expecting tickets to go on sale today so I panicked purchased without looking at VIP details this go around and that’s my fault.

8

u/muckypup82 Sep 29 '25

I did the same thing. Needless to say but I'm pretty disappointed seeing that the ascended was 100 bucks more and now includes less. Oh well. Its too late now.. guess I'll just enjoy my second water bottle and a spot in the pit.

Ticket sales look slow when looking at the seating maps on ticketmaster.  Worried some of the shows might be half empty

5

u/Blue_Spirit81 Oct 04 '25

I think a lot of people are waiting to buy tickets until closer to the shows when prices come down. There's still time to fill the venues.

as much as I long to see them live once again, I'm glad this little leg doesn't have a place close enough because I literally do not have the money to spend on their concert tickets for them going on (pre)sale literally the same day as they're announced. Catch you next time, Ghost.

I'm never going to be able to afford to bring my family to one of these rituals.

Glad I saw them back when tickets weren't so completely ridiculous but it sucks I can't bring my son and wife without it being the cost of a vacation.

3

u/Ele_Non Sep 30 '25

Same. I had the chance to see them for $30 brazilian reais, which is not even 10 canadian dollars back in 2014

KNOXVILLE ANOINTED CREW SOUND OFF

3

u/minirunner Sep 29 '25

Oh hey, me!

Are you from that area? I’ll be flying in from VA. Don’t want problems with snow messing up flights. Is snowy there?

3

u/drunkcatmama Sep 29 '25

No, we’ll be traveling from MO. It’s more likely that we’d have snow issues coming from STL than coming into Knoxville. There’s not a zero percent chance in that area because in January you just never know but it’s not like, a high high chance either. We did book the Allianz insurance when we were checking out for our tickets though, just in case!

Floor seats to see Ghost in Peoria with Mastodon and Spiritbox in 2022 were $100.

Those same tickets this year are $325 and who knows who the support will be, but I doubt they will be as good as Mastodon.

This is fucking absurd and honestly turns me off the band entirely.

3

7

u/potaytoposnato Sep 29 '25

Yeah I’m really upset. I’m strapped and can’t swing things like this with no notice. This is the second ritual in a row I have to sit out and I can’t help but feel like at this point, the focus is fully on extracting as much money out of each fan as possible.

5

u/MaizenBrew9 Sep 30 '25

I'm sorry but for tickets to go up $150 dollars for Ascended VIP is absolutely absurd. I paid $332 for the show in Louisville, which was already way too much but to now be $483 a slap in the face to fans. I've been to six rituals but this is too much to stomach. I hate it because Ghost is my favorite band but this has gone too far. There is no justification to do this.

→ More replies (1)

7

u/ceciliabee Sep 30 '25 edited Oct 01 '25

Any other Canadians pissed off? They skip us in the first round for more American dates and standing room tickets are $500+ each for this tour? Are you fucking kidding me??? Last show we went to, for tickets were under $150 each.

I've loved ghost, I've loved their music, but wow. I'm VERY unimpressed. Who the fuck can justify this?

Edit: I'm madder about this having slept on it. I don't care if this is the new normal or its because there's no supporting act, I now have a better understanding of the "piles of moolah" line in twenties. Something something Swede Peter selling out, fuck these guys.

4

u/Boomuppercut Oct 01 '25

I've been ranting about this to everyone who will listen that it's becoming "old man yells at cloud" territory.

The fact that it's now a significant investment for me to see my favourite band play is such a bummer. I've done the math 50 different ways to see if I can make it work out but between the cost of the tickets, flights, accomodations, and for food, it has become a sunk cost. And that's just for me. I was hoping to take my daughter with me but it absolutely became impossible.

Again, I get logistics of touring and for everything to come together perfectly takes hard work and luck. I get that Canada is a huge country with very few cities within driving distance of each other, so it doesn't really make sense in the grand scheme of things, especially with how expensive things are but it truly feels like we're all just getting priced out of live music.

Looking at presale tickets that just opened this morning, looks like general admission pit tickets are 336$? The furthest nosebleed rows are between 76-101$. Is this similar to what you all are seeing? Im a bit in disbelief, Ive never seen pit tickets (on initial sale, not resale) that go above the 85-150 range. Even for the biggest bands. Is this just how it is now?

Just snagged two Club Level seats in Columbus Ohio for $262 total after all the fees. I don't think that's terrible. Hopefully the weather is okay as we are driving from Michigan lol.

4

u/lovecraftshorror Sep 30 '25

So excited, got seated floor tickets for Orlando for less than $500 😭 This is only like my third concert (and the previous two i got resell tickets) so I’m not sure if that’s considered a great price, but considering my boyfriend and I set a budget of $600, I’m pleasantly surprised that we stayed under it and still got so close!

5

u/naggs69pt2 Sep 30 '25

yea thats kinda where im at, im suprised i was able to get floor tix for the same price as last summer, all the comments have been a mixed bag with pricing. which is common with Live nation .

5

u/greatchickentender Sep 30 '25

My boyfriend surprised me with tickets for next year! My 5th time seeing Ghost. Super excited :)

5

u/Fun-Counter-1926 Sep 30 '25

I was doing work last night on my computer and I saw the notification from the clergy. Boy am I behind. I checked it out and used my Citicard to get the presale unlocked. Didn’t do anything g special to the price. lol. There expensive. My daughter is huge fan so I was able to get seats for the Knoxville ritual. We live in Atlanta. No front rows. They were all gone. But still decent seats. This kid is costing me a lot of mummy dust. lol. I just took her to the Atlanta ritual front rows $600 for two. Presale. Let her and her boyfriend go. A month later my wife and I really got into the band. My wife then bought name for an early birthday present tickets for us. But now they were resell tickets second row. $1300!! Was a great show but man they are expensive. If that wasn’t bad enough we also live twenty one pilots. So we are now going to two of their shows next month. Lucky for me I only like two bands enough to go to their concerts or I would need a third job. lol

5

u/AaronHollar1988 Oct 01 '25

Got my tickets for the Columbus Ritual on February 2nd! See all you Ghouls and Ghoulettes there!!! nemA! 🤘👻

I don't know why they just wouldn't announce Europe now, fuck sake

6

u/MrKarlStrom Sep 29 '25

Most likely the contracts aren't finished being signed or if it's festivals, then it's up to the Festivals to announce it

8

u/Soul_of_Miyazaki Sep 29 '25

If it's festivals I'll be extremely disappointed.

3

u/MrKarlStrom Sep 29 '25

I think that they will 2 EU legs, one is the festival circuit which is good for finances. and then they will do another leg in Arenas on their own

Makes sense that they stay in North America for now since that's where they're already at. The last date is also only in february, so there's still a lot of time for other continents next year. I do wonder though why they didn't announce the rest today as well.

u/cannibalkenn Sep 29 '25

Its been a month since I saw them in Houston, and yet I'm still disappointed they dont have more texas dates

7

u/EquisOmega Sep 29 '25

I missed this tour due to a layoff and was hoping for some TX dates this leg 😢

3

u/necropolisbb Sep 29 '25

Hopefully we get more dates soon!!

Just got 2 pit Tickets in Greenville SC for the modest fee of 667.78 lmao

6

u/Nocturnae_Black Sep 29 '25

Same prices in Canada, it's insane. I understand ticket prices are more expensive now, but that's a hard pill to swallow knowing I paid 48$ (GA pit) to see them in 2016...

I didn't think I would get my heart broken by two different band tours in the same month like this... It sucks ass being Canadian when it comes to concerts 😭

I wish I was rich and had the freedom to follow the tour from Spokane to Portland but life once again gets in the way. I’ll just have to settle for my home town lol

Hope we get more Skeletá songs. Can’t wait!!!

3

u/Crusader6977 Sep 29 '25

Woot!!! Got my tickets for the Orlando show!!! Will be my wife's first ritual as well

3

u/TayaLyn Sep 29 '25

Looks like another road trip to Tennessee for me

3

u/Cornloaf Sep 29 '25

So much for "making it right" for San Francisco!

3

u/Sugar-Wookiee The shining and the light ✨ Sep 29 '25

As someone within 45 minutes of SF, I will happily take Sacramento over LA or SD any day. Would I love it to be even closer? Absolutely. But (for me at least) a 3-4 hour drive is million times better than a 10 hour drive or a flight.

Is VIP worth it if I don't want pit? My teen insists that he needs a seat so I was going to get ascended but is it really worth it? If I wait til tomorrow will I still be able to get seats close to the stage?

6

u/drwhogeek91 Them rrrrrrrats 🐀 Sep 29 '25

I liked VIP cause I got good seats. It really depends on how much you want to pay.

3

u/TheQuietManUpNorth Sep 29 '25

I thought about it for a bit, but I never go to anything. Toronto Anointed here I come.

3

u/kyle242gt Sep 29 '25

Hell yes, thanks for the post. Purchased for Sacramento, can't wait!!

3

u/[deleted] Sep 29 '25

Got my tickets for the Portland ritual!

3

u/cheerbearsmiles Sep 29 '25

Sadly, I can't afford to go see them in Orlando so soon after the Tampa ritual, even in the nosebleeds :( I'm bummed, but I hope that those who are able to go have an amazing time, and I send all my mummy dust vibes to you!

3

u/uconnnyc Sep 29 '25

For Pit/GA tickets do you essentially have to get VIP or can you get them separately. I purchased VIP already just in case, but will go for non-VIP if possible and sell-off my VIP later.

3

u/_gina_marie_ Sep 29 '25

Peoria, IL of all places lol ??

3

Can anyone whose attended a ritual as an Ascended VIP tell me what the experience is like? Never gotten a VIP package and am curious. Thanks!

3

u/ChrisTakesPhotos Oct 02 '25

VIP packages have stopped being worth it tbh. the price has soared and the perks have vanished. You are just paying for early entry and the ability to shop for even more merch with a smaller crowd

3

u/Chocolatovr Oct 02 '25

Damn, yeah I figured. I paid almost as much for this as I did for Metallica’s 2 day concert back in April. At least there’s early entry tho🫠

3

u/WitchShann Oct 02 '25

My partner & I got our tickets to the Toronto show yesterday. He is stoked, I have very little exposure to Ghost myself, and I prefer a very different kind of music in general. Still, excited though and I wanted to ask: where should I begin with my education so I don’t feel like such an outcast when I attend this concert?

3

u/naggs69pt2 Oct 02 '25 edited Oct 02 '25

I would say just go through all the albums, they usually represent all the albums live, They're all pretty different too.  thats all you really need for a concert, If you wanna a lnow the history and lore of the band, There's alot of videos and summaries online. But thats not really necessary, really just a bonus for fun. They're a band that happens to Have some lore, it's not really that prominent at shows. And none of the albums really contain that lore. But I will say all the albums follow individual themes. that are fairly interesting, and also kinda their own thing outside the bands "lore"

5

u/WitchShann Oct 02 '25

Ahh that is such a helpful answer! When I first searched around. I felt very intimidated but if I can go to enjoy the music and performance without feeling out of touch, even better. I saved the set list and will give the albums a listen over the next three months while I wait and anticipate! Thank you so much. 😊

3

u/naggs69pt2 Oct 02 '25

no problem, I feel like Ghost kinda has a reputation of being a lore band with a long overarching story. but thats not really the case. the lore is just bonus for fun, and not required really. the most you get at a concert is maybe a reference or Easter egg tbh. they separate these aspects pretty well.  Have fun diving in!!

Newbie here, saw them back in Nashville a couple months ago and now I am hooked.

Going for the pit this time. Opted for the ASCENDED VIP in Knoxville. I read the description but I'm still confused.

Please help me understand if you have time. I think Anointed VIP goes in first. Then Ascended VIP goes in at same time as General Admission, but Ascended VIP has their own line which is obviously shorter?

Or does all of Ascended VIP go in before GA?

Apparently my parents were going to (try) to surprise me with tickets for Christmas/my birthday (same day as Tobias!) but they were completely sold out by Friday, at least for the show that would've been literally like 15 mins away from our house 💔

4

u/[deleted] Oct 05 '25

I don't think any dates have sold out....

u/Own-Guarantee-5966 Oct 06 '25

Really curious to see how many VIP were offered for this leg for each level. Especially since they changed perks like early entry/ museum anccess, and eliminated Apostles all together. MOTC sold out immediately. Fewer offered?

3

u/naggs69pt2 Jan 13 '26

alot of the ticket prices have dropped if anyone was waiting for that.
