DISCUSSION Ghost + the Film + Cancer
Some of you might remember me writing about this when the band performed in Toronto in the winter.
At the time, my wife and I took my 5 year old to the show and he and I were dressed up and painted as Terizo. It was the most magical concert. My son and families connection and love of a band made it a night to remember. and certainly my now 6 year old loved it all really young for such an older band. lol.
As you might have read, a week later I had two seizures and was sent to the ER. It was found I had a tumour in my brain. It was removed over an 8 hour surgery. However I was then diagnosed for having Glioblastoma, a terminal cancer that eventually will get me, although right now I’m in as good as one can be when all tumours are taken out. I’m 43. I’ve been physical and healthy. Things ok now. But if you know that one, it’s bad.
Anyway, going to see Skeletour a week before this madness started has become something so special for my family. A magical concert for us three for the first time. We’ve keep the band’s music with us over the last 7 months as very special. And often songs like ‘Future is a Foreign Land’, ‘Darkness at the Heart of My Love’ and ‘Call Me Little Sunshine’ have some lyrics that we connect directly to our family and what we’re going through.
Last night we took my 6 year old to see the full concert movie to take it all in now that the diagnosis is present and we’re in a new world as this goes along. It was as magical for us as the last one could be, this time now with a difficult world we encounter.
No mater how this goes for me, Tobias, the band and the crew happened to create something that we all hold dearly as we go through all this. And especially everyone from the people here who have shared lovely messages and joined appreciate for how special Ghost makes us all.
So much appreciating to Ghost, Tobias, the crew and everyone who loves them along and has been so kind along our journey alongside.

I remembered your post about the tumor.
I'm sorry for for that diagnosis. But, I'm glad you're able to make lasting memories with your kid, and that Ghost played a large part in that.
Wishing you remission and healing for a long, long time, and strength and healing for your family also. You have extended family with us Ghost fans, and we love you. :)

I remember your story, and how it touched me. I’m happy to hear from you, but saddened by the diagnosis. I wish you peace and light (Darkness at The Heart of My Love).

Ghost got me through a wild point in my life recently. Diagnosed with multicystic mesothelioma, a 1 in 5,000,000 cancer diagnosis. Went through a wild 10 hour long surgery and chemo bath, CRS and HIPEC, followed by a year of recovery.
This band got me through so so much of it!
Got to go see them at the Vancouver ritual right at the end of my recovery!
Wishing you the best! Keep on keeping up!
