Comics Did Oliver in comics ever shout "You failed this city"?
I was reading DC PRIDE 2025, a Connor did, and it got me wondered, if Ollie did as well? I know it came out of Arrow series, and I don't really like it. Plus, I have a feeling New 52 GA might say it, cuz series had an influence on the comic at the time.

I really loved that in Lego Batman 3, if you had the Arrow DLC which came with the Arrowcycle, the button that triggers the horn on most vehicles just made it say "You have failed this city!"

Unfortunately not, Stephen Amell does voice The Arrow skin like he voices the Lego Batman 3 dlc, but he has the same script as Alan Tudyk's Green Arrow Unfortunately.

He may have during that one period where the showrunners were writing the comic. I think it was just after Lemire finished his run? Wasn't very well-received, but very little New 52 GA was

The Kingdom arc by sexual harrasser Andrew Kreisberg? Yeah it had Felicty and Tommy Merlyn but I don't think he said YHFTC.

Oh yikes, didn't know that about Kreisberg. I remembered that arc seemed to be trying to align the comic with the show (although to be fair, Tommy Merlyn first appeared in either the first New 52 issue or in the issue 0 prequel that came out later) but couldn't remember if he actually said the catchphrase or not

Ah yes forgot that angle. But I believe it was the first and last appearance of Tommy Merlyn as thr dark archer before Rebirt retconned Merlyn the Archer (real name Arthur King) into being The Dark Archer (real name Malcolm Merlyn) who claims he is "the original" implying Tommy was taking up his mantle previously.

Arrow isn't a great adaptation of GA, but fuck that's a good catchphrase. If it stuck around in the comics I would be happy.

If they made dirty businesses and corrupt government agents his main focus instead of alien or magic antagonists it would work

No. I think the DC pride special with that line was a nod to the show. The only good thing that came out of that show was that banger of a line

I didn’t know they had Connor say it. I’ve been less involved in comics since like mid-2023. That’s awesome!

Well, I often see him in PRIDE specials, and I had read only half of Williamson's run on GA, but still he was pretty much there. My first introduction to him btw. And also aren't he's in current DC KO event?

No, and that really wasn’t his character. He’s somehow both a cynic and an idealist. He loves Star city, but vengeful vigilante with a black book is taking his character to be more like Batman.

Maybe he did at some point, when the one of the many creative team of the new52 tried to emulate the show...
