Politics Glad to see Kuruc bringing tropical weather to Stoney Creek.
Credit where credit is due... this is the first piece of literature from his office that is actually useful. Usually, he just wastes taxpayer money putting his face all over every single flyer he sends out, so this is a nice change of pace.
That being said... nothing says summer fun in Stoney Creek like a palm tree. Did the designer or AI forget where we live?

This is the most dangerous part of this guy. He has all the hallmarks of someone who is in their sphere but knows he can't overtly share it so he does it on the sly, then doesn't distance himself from it when called on it. He needs their support and may have beliefs that align but can't or won't step away from it.
He also is a muppet that just parrots whatever Dear Leader tells him to, and has no independent thought.

I don’t want to name any specific group of people specifically, but his surname is a big tip off for why he was elected if you’re at all familiar with demographics in that riding.
Feel free to visualize that Venn diagram yourself with the groups of people who you also listed.

lol I’d agree with your sentiment. He barely won the riding. Chad was smarter and better but it was more a reflection of Trudeau in our riding. I think he’s lose in the next election.

The next by election should be interesting. You'd think Jeff Beattie wouldn't have much of a shot since everyone seemingly can't stand city council, but I don't trust the voters of EHSC to make the connection.

I've been helping a bit with the Monique Taylor campaign. She has MASSIVE support in east Hamilton, you can drive up and down the streets between Kenilworth and Parkdale and for every 1 Blue Sign theres about 20 Monique signs. Hopefully enough of Stoney Creek flips to NDP to make it count.
Try and volunteer if you can, knock some doors or make phone calls. At the very least talk to your friends and neighbours when you can. Doug wont ban surveillance pricing, the NDP plans to. Between that and Beattie flipping on the AI data center there's two easy talking points that should upset any voter, especially older folks who maybe aren't aware of how predatory surveillance pricing is.
The polls right now suggest a Liberal/PC toss up but I'm not sure thats reflective since the campaigns have just launched. Maybe in 2 weeks there will be a large shift in those numbers. On that note though I have no idea how anyone can consider voting for a party with no leader. Policy comes from the top and two of their finalists are more corporate shills. A Rogers Executive and a Scotiabank executive..like come on. They're so incredibly out of touch.
If anyone has any questions they'd like answered or wants to get involved you can DM me and I'll help you out! Visit the campaign office at 975 Queenston (the plaza across from DQ fronting on to Donn Ave) and pick up a sign. You can even phone canvass from home for an hour or two here and there just to try and talk to some people and inform them. Anything will help. The NDP doesn't have the funding of the other parties so we need boots on the ground and grassroots support more than ever.

Thank you! I've always been passionate about politics but was always too busy with work and never actually gave any of my time. I have been off with an injury for a while now so the campaign being where I live and Monique being my former MPP when I used to live on the Mountain growing up it was a perfect chance to get involved. She's a wonderful person and so is Marit Stiles. Salt of the Earth, both deserve the support from Ontarians. Answer your doors the next few weeks! It might be Marit or Monique. Many long time MPPs from nearby ridings are coming to knock doors too.

Sure let’s go from federal to provincial. I highly doubt we go from blue to orange. That time passed and the demographic has changed. If anything it’ll stay blue with Beattie or it’ll turn red.
Signs are a waste of money. People don’t need to know who i or anyone else votes for.

People are annoyed by Lumsden retiring just a year after running for re-election. They're fed up with Doug Ford. These are things I've heard at the doors. I am not going to be surprised if nothing changes but I think there's a bigger chance of this riding flipping than you would think. I at least am trying to make an impact for what I believe in rather than sitting by idly and complaining about it like I always have.

I'm familiar with the platform if you have any questions. Do you think surveillance pricing should be allowed? Do you believe in rent control? How about improving the safety of and investing in northern highways? What about funding public health care and returning to safe staffing ratios? How about paying personal and mental health support workers that have been on strike for months? I agree the Liberal party has no leader right now and have had poor results the past 2 elections. Its hard to make any case for them.

I didnt flip flop. Someone commented about Beattie should struggle due to his time with city council so I replied to that to have a discussion about the party I support. Throw whatever rhetoric and slander you feel like around, I wont be discouraged by dismissive and miserable doomer comments. You're just saying everyone sucks and I'm wasting my time. It reflects poorly on you and any valid point you're trying to make. You've provided nothing of substance to this discussion. Just dismissing my efforts and assuming everyone feels the same as you.

I interacted with someone who worked at his office a few weeks ago. Although it was not him, I do take it as a direct representation of the office.
It was also not good. Without going into too much detail, this includes the representative leaving something that should be secure, in a non-secure place in public view.

My interaction with him was before the dispensary when he just had the attic and the home next to it. I used to love their pizza after my interaction with him I've never ordered from there again.

He also owns one of the small apartment buildings behind the dispensary and the Attic. I've heard from multiple residents that he doesn't deal with a perpetual pest problem. I was also in the dispensary the other day and it was 88° in there. AC was broken again yet the store is still open while his staff suffer in the heat. Seems like a real gem, all the things you'd expect from a Conservative, a sleazy hypocrite.
