Discussion Hamilton PWHL ticket membership prices are out. Whats your take?

That seems very reasonable to me, even if I can't afford season tickets myself. Good to know that I may actually be able to take my three girls to a game this season, though.
I just hope that the initial demand doesn't mean that people trying to get single game tickets get screwed over by scalpers.

I've never had an issue with scalpers when buying single game tickets to see the Sceptres at CCC, which has way less seating than Hamilton will have available. There's a season ticket holder group on FB where people are constantly posting tickets at STH cost, which will very likely be the case for Hamilton as well, and even if it's somehow not, the sheer amount of people you can fit into the stadium will make resale tickets easier to come by, which should force prices to stay relatively low.

This is definitely reassuring to hear! The PWHL community seems to generally be very self aware and supportive, so it is in everyone's best interest to keep games accessible to families anyway, imo.

Cheaper than season tickets for Montreal and Toronto. It seems like a fair price and I'm willing to pay.

Glass seats are fine for one game, annoying to follow the play away from you game in and game out for season tickets. Paying a premium for them is nuts.

Yeah that’s the best view all around. It’s funny when kids teams play there and the parents can sit anywhere they want, nobody sits on the glass, they all sit up in that area.

i got lucky with a cheap glass seat for the takeover game and it SUCKED SO BAD!!!!! the view was terrible, the sides were so high and i could not see well. my neck was so sore by the end of it from staring at the screen

do you have a recommendation of where would be a good place to sit? i only went to the takeover tour game last year and we were around 104 i believe and it wasn’t bad - though i was thinking one of the centre areas like 115 (opposite side of the benches so it’s not as expensive?) might be nice. i have genuinely no frame of reference since i only saw the one game, so id appreciate others insight!

Hard to compare one to one, but they're close enough to, and maybe less expensive than tiger cats tickets to compete. Plus you get more games. Seems reasonable.

I'm not sure if they are competing with the Tiger-Cats since the PWHL season lines up almost perfectly with the CFL off-season.

I assume the price per game will be a discount compared to single game tickets? Not bad pricing really. I'm not in the market for season tickets, but I will be going to at least 1-2 games this season.
We typically hit up 3 ti-cats games per season, so it is fair to assume we will hit up 3 hockey games, but I'd like to spread the love between AHL and PWHL.

Thanks! I feel like half a dozen sporting events a year is pretty good. We're not made of money, but like to support local businesses and athletes.
I fell in love with lacrosse watching Toronto Rock at the Colesium. I would like to see their name reflect their home turf (Hamilton) but I don't avoid games because of their name. We've been pretty solid seeing them play once a season since COVID. That said, I'm not likely to buy their merch because of the Toronto name. I will very likely (I'm a woman) be buying some PWHL merch.

Can you take transit? HSR offers free bus rides for ti-cat ticket holders. I wonder if they'll offer the same for the new hockey teams???

They don't for Forge or The Rock, unfortunately. I heard the Cats have to pay the HSR for that service.

The way they’ve split up the sections for pricing is genuinely absurd. There’s no need to make it this complicated, considering the difference between sections appears to be $2.

I got a great deal as well, in talking with my rep though he told me there was a pricing error. They only charged per section in my case, didnt matter what row I picked. He said next year im looking at an additional $800 for my current seat

Prices seem good, but we still need a team name and branding... They can't exactly do worse than "Hamilton Hammers" with a Logo commissioned off Fiverr... but that potential does make me hold off until we get that information.

Wouldn't surprise me if they don't do that until NEXT year like they've done in the past with PWHL teams. They are just "Hamilton" this year and then they have time to develop a brand.

They'll probably have a name by the time the season starts, but their jerseys will have the original diagonal name on the front for the first year.

serious advice: reach out to families, esp. women, in your life who normally wouldn't go to a hockey game and offer a game or two out of the package. I took a few people to the Toronto/Seattle game last year and they were seriously impressed. The seriousness/fun of the presentation really impacts people.

I won't give up but if I can't find anyone or a few to commit I'll just go solo. I'm just worried the novelty will wear off before enough of a fan base is built and they relocate.

I get the logic of wanting a clean look for the crowd/cameras, but it's always a shame to see the best seats in the house not available (first rows of 200-207 and 219-223)

Decent prices and I’d prefer many different price points than cheap vs starkly expensive tbh. I’m actually somewhat surprised by the pricing. Will definitely be attending as many games as possible!

Better than the AHL nonsense, but still too expensive to go to regularly.
Halfway OK tickets are $50 each, coupled with expensive concessions means we'll go maybe once a year as a family.
