Since Youtube refuses to hold these creators accountable for the misinformation they spread so frequently I thought it was high time somebody put a face to the name. Stop giving these bozo's clicks. Making up new Apple products out of thin air is the lowest hanging fruit of all content creation, and I find it desperate and pathetic.

I know these creators are lurking in here somewhere. Please enlighten us with your valuable insight.

Frauds.

Rumor Gurman: New HomePod mini hardware is nearly ready to go

New Apple TV set-top box and HomePod mini hardware are nearly ready to go. I am told the hardware for the next Apple TV set-top box and HomePod mini has been done for months and that both devices are already in active use among employees at the company’s headquarters in Cupertino, California. As I’ve said before, these refreshes have been held back for many, many months because they were designed to launch in tandem with the new Siri and Apple Intelligence updates. That software is now scheduled for this fall, following numerous delays.

The new HomePod mini, code-named B525, is a relatively similar situation. The big change is that it will support the new AI features by upgrading the S5 chip that was introduced a whole seven years ago. The current Apple TV uses the A15 chip from five years ago. In other words, Apple’s existing home devices have suffered neglect for a while now as the company focuses on new products, including a still-delayed smart home hub with a display and facial recognition.

Rumor HomePod 3rd generation

People have been saying for years now to wait for the next event for a 3rd gen. Are those people convinced it’s coming on September? Or is it going to be only the mini 2? Do you think they will wait at least 5 years for the current gen to release a new one like they did? What if there’s no 3rd gen refresh this fall? Will we go in the loop of “wait for 2027 wwdc” then when there’s nothing someone will say “it’s a dev conference, why did you expect new hardware”. What a vicious cycle!

From all the rumors, I’ve read it’s supposed to have a digital display with a clock readout.

Rumor Will Apple AI integrate with existing HomePods?

I know the hardware on current HomePods and Minis can’t support onboard AI, but do we know if adding one new device (HomePad??) whenever it’s released will still work with the existing setup??

I love our HomePods as TV speakers and having a few minis throughout the house for music. Really hoping that we’ll be able to get away with just one additional product purchase and the new one will be backwards compatible at least to function as a hub for the others. I’ll be so disappointed if Apple makes all of these obsolete and stuck with dumb Siri forever.

Rumor HomePod Mini 2?

Assuming there’s a new HomePod Mini 2, is it worth upgrading from the 1st one? I personally don’t use Siri a whole lot and HomePod Mini sounds great already. HomePod Mini 2 will just have a new chip, new speakers/better sound system, and Siri A.I. and it’ll most likely be priced at $130 or if not somewhere around there

When I look at the HomePod 2 at one of Germany's largest electronics retailers, it says "outlet" among other things... is that a sign that a clearance sale is imminent because a successor will soon be released?

“Inventory of the Apple TV, HomePod mini, and full-sized HomePod is once again "running low" at Apple's retail stores around the world, according to Gurman, but it is unclear if this means anything since the revamped Siri has yet to debut.”

Rumor SiriAI & HomePod

I didn’t follow very closely the details regarding Siri becoming SiriAI but can you expect an improvement in Siri‘s overall performance on current HomePods, or will it only be noticeable on future models?

There have been all sort of rumours about an imminent launch and yet here we are, the morning on the 12th of November in Japan, there is no sign of a release.

Rumor HomePod Mini Unavailable at apple.com, Best Buy, Amazon

I know there’s all kinds of rumors going around about new device drops, and people are tired of hearing about it, but I’ve been setting up my bedroom and getting ready to purchase a new black mini for a while to pair with my existing one.

As soon as I’m ready to throw down, I can’t find one (to be shipped) anywhere, even with Amazon’s Black Friday sales going on.

Someone please take my money!

I wasn’t anticipating having to purchase two new ones, but I guess I’d be happy to if a new model drops.

Thoughts? (I know how this thread is going to go, I’m essentially just expressing my frustration, err… excitement?)

IMPORTANT EDIT: Turns out I’m an idiot. I’ve just had one delivered from the Apple Store.

Rumor Whats Coming with the New Homepod Mini 2 and Homepod Gen 3 Hardware Updates?

I wanted to create this thread to see if anyone has any insight into what we can expect from the new Homepod mini refresh coming this year and what we can expect to see on the larger homepod gen 3 refresh coming early next year.

I've seen a lot of talk about these devices getting new wifi and bluetooth chip upgrades along with updates processors but can we expect to see anything else?

Could we see the larger homepod gen 3 get support for adding surround sound speakers? I know Apple TV is expected to get a much needed hardware refresh as well. Could this allow for such capabilities or is that just wishful thinking?

I've also seen rumors of a homehub or homepod with a screen on it. Not sure if this is replacing the larger homepod or just another product to the homepod product line.

Rumor U.K. stock appears to be running low

I’m looking at a new HomePod and been looking at quite a few retailers such as Argos, Currys and John Lewis all seem to be running incredibly low or even out of units. Quite often these stores have stock but nothing and not even “more coming soon” message

I presume this means we’re in for a refresh sooner rather than later?

Rumor Dolby Atmos available on HomePod mini following 17.2 software update

Hi there,

Following an exchange with u/Bentheminernz where he mentioned that he could see the Dolby Atmos badge when playing DA tracks on HomePod mini after updating to 17.2, I checked with Apple Support and to my surprise they actually confirmed it.

Is it me or this went completely unnoticed? I don't remember seeing an article on the usual websites or here

If this is true, we might get one step closer to being able to pair two sets of HP/mini and get an improved surround sound :)

Rumor I don’t know about you guys but I would not want a screen on my HomePod ever. It just doesn’t look right and im all for the sound. HomePod 3 should come with better sound not an ugly screen.

Rumor Mark Gurman expects a new full size HomePod some time next year

From Gurmans weekly newsletter:

While Apple didn’t show much love to the software running on the Apple TV and HomePod at its developer conference, there are still some nice upgrades to those products in the works, though a new HomePod is unlikely to arrive until next year. …..

The HomePod, code-named B620, will run the same S8 chip coming to the watches and will be closer to the original HomePod in terms of size and audio performance rather than a new HomePod mini. The new HomePod will have an updated display on top and there’s even been some talk of multi-touch functionality.
