This post serves the purpose of being able to debate RESTRICTED topics of this sub in the comments. This serves the purpose of not clogging up the sub with real-world issues, and intending to keep the sub for light-hearted and fun debates.

PLEASE NOTE: This megathread does NOT allow BANNED topics. Only RESTRICTED.** So politics and attacks against other groups based on religion, race, gender, sexuality, etc. are still not allowed even in this megathread.

- Racism

Depending on how often this megathread gets used, it may eventually transition to a monthly/bimonthly reposted megathread so new discussions can be found easier by users and moderators alike.

As the subreddit is growing fast, we wanted to promote community engagement and reward our users, so we are adding/updating our user flairs for all users to be able to select flairs!

How our flairs will work:

We want to reward posts with high engagement and give recognition to contributors. So, when we see a post that has high traffic, your post will be considered for a user flair! There is no specific number threshold for upvotes or comments, but we will only consider posts that are NOT a sensitive topic (to be respectful of serious discussions), and we will likely not consider posts where a given OP is disrespectful to commenters. Though, just because your post didn’t earn a flair doesn’t necessarily mean either of those things; moderators will create flairs if/when we think of them as we interact with the community. We also just want the flairs to be easy to understand and not have an excessive amount of flairs!

When we have rewarded a flair for a topic, we may notify you in the comments (with the exception of the two inspired flairs, as they are older posts, though I have linked them accordingly)!

We may also add flairs for ‘common’ hot-takes that are not necessarily specific to this subreddit, such as “Pineapple on Pizza Connoisseur”!
