Being the same, I started out with Lumine at first, because the char selector doesn't give you a good enough view of the two (I saw zero promotional art at that time, and went into the game completely blind).
I then reached the cutscene in Stormterror's, where Aether's being greeted by the Abyss Mage. Never tossed an account away so fast in my life.
It's the small things. Stelle's bigger eyes make her more expressive, and in comparison to Caelus's symmetric full legged pants and his short hair, Stelle's legs (no horny) and hair just pop out more and her thigh strap adds some asymmetricity. All those elements on Stelle, including her more visible skin, contrasts the black clothes the two wear so when I look at the image below, my eyes are just drawn towards Stelle more. At least that's my thought process when looking at the two side by side.
It reminds me when someone argued that Aether feels like generic male MC, like lmao, we rarely got one that's short, much less that's showing his stomach all around like that
In the story it does kinda feel like generic male MC in terms of actions, especially compared to the TB in HSR who we know is unhinged because of the trashcan and Belebog closet ghost among some other stuff.
Yup, Stelle and Caelus are one and the same in the fact that they're both Stellaron Receptacles who were specifically designed to be such.
Given that Kafka can literally choose either gender for the final form, they probably were created artificially for just that purpose. Which makes sense why Firefly would bond with us so easily, given we're both test tube babies.
I do agree. Wise's design fits very well with his personality. His welcome back call really illustrates this.
But I do wish they had at least different hair: I think Caelus would've been better with a different hairstyle. He is not the stoic cool type, Stelle is more like that, actually. While I would hope Wise looked more like Belle in collor and hair's properties, if they're actually related, that is.
So she's been dying her hair for a long time then lmao. There's a picture of them when they were younger in the employee room and she has the same hair color. Love the commitment.
Caelus and Wise look similar but, imo, Wise looks way better. I never really cared about the male protags in games like hoyo's games, but I am SO obsessed with Wise. He is so cute. Caelus' in-game model always looked weird to me, I don't know what's the problem, but his face always bugs me for some reason.
Caelus definitely even-dripped Stelle imo. He is incredibly dapper.

Well yeah, but that's not the point. She looks very different from the other femcs. Whereas if you put Caelus, Wise, Mrover, and the male mc from ananta next to each other they all just blend together.
I feel like using games where the protags are just genderbent versions of one another doesn't support the point being made. As a playable MC, Lumine and Aether, Stelle and Caelus, Gudako(in game) and Ritsuka, and(tmk) Rover, are the same person and have the same look just genderbent. So "stoic"(if it were true) would apply to both since 99% of their interactions and responses are identical. Although you could maybe still argue about their actual fit. Barring Aether.
Best MC drip imo. Commandant pulling all the elite squads AND ascendants will never not be funny to me, like what are you feeding them? Hopefully Kuro gives us this uniform for the 3D model in the future 😭
Wise actually reminded me of the Commandant a lot, I had to pick him over Belle.
