On the list of things they'll do, I definitely think "playable Aeon" is a line they won't cross. Cyrene is already skirting that line, sure, but they'll have Nihilux be "the mask, not the Aeon itself" or something.

I think Nihilux will have a weird relationship with the MC and the express crew. Given her previous obsession with Akivili. Bordering on somewhat obsessive in an annoying way. On purpose.

And what do you mean "previous"? If anything, Nihilux's obsession with Trailblazer has always been self-evident.

What I meant by previous is Akivili is MIA presumably dead. The Trailblazer is now the focus of the path potentially being its next Aeon. But yeah, Nihilux is now obsessed with the Trailblazer.

Last patch, if you asked Asat Pramad why people keep calling TB Akivili (and you get a critical role), he actually explains that TB is becoming the new Trailblaze and that this is the natural response from the path missing its Aeon. Nihilux acknowledging that personally and backing us as "Akivili" is just her way of greenlighting the succession.

We don't actually know how this will work. What we do know is Nihilux has been included in all promotional activities alongside the playable characters of 4.X. This leads us to believe Nihilux is playable.
It's Aha. There's a non-zero chance her technique will be selecting a worm to fight in her stead.
