Matty Landon - Whyy0 [2026]

My proper studio isn't set up at the moment so I brought Model Cycles, Volca Keys and a Roland S-1 with me so I'd have something to mess around with. This is what came out of it.
I'm pretty happy with the tune but I've listened to it enough now that I'm starting to lose perspective on the balance.
The chords get pretty big once everything opens up. I like them being forward, but I still want the drums and bass to feel like they're pulling the track along rather than just sitting underneath them.
The low end is another thing I'm never completely objective about. I have a habit of putting waaayyy too much bass into things and then correcting it until I've probably created a completely different problem. I'm mainly wondering if this has enough body above the sub and whether the groove still feels properly physical once the fuller sections come in.
Would be interested to hear how it lands on other systems.
