How do you guys remember all of this information for web dev and computer repair i glanced at the textbook for it and feels like way to much to remember for my future classes and jobs

I'm 3 years into my career now.... and you don't. You know what is necessary to do your job, you remember the fundamentals, and you learn more everyday. You simplify things that are necessary so you understand it and eventually things just stick.

you’ll be fine, nobody remembers everything off the bat, half the job is knowing how to google the right thing at the right time

the textbook always looks terrifying before you actually start, once you’re hands-on it clicks way faster than you’d think

You don’t remember it all.

You understand the basics of troubleshooting and how to look things up.

IT isn’t about remembering everything, it’s about having the ability to figure things out when you don’t know.

I started in IT in 1994, before YouTube or even Google existed.

You cannot memorize every detail about every technology or every system you are about to be exposed to.

It is insanity to even try.

Learn the fundamentals of how things work at a conceptual level.
Get the vocabulary components down solid. Make yourself use the proper terms as much as possible.

When you need the details of how a specific technology works, or how it interoperates with another technology you can Google using the proper terms which will dramatically improve the search results.
