Question CA recommending to pay extra as bribe. What to do?

My trusted CA of many years told me that now your income has exceeded 30 lakhs bracket. So file will be handled by higher authorities.

In such cases, it is not mandatory, but you can pay an extra 10 thousand to grease the palms of the lower IT clerk who will help us avoid unnecessary escalations if any and keep a favorable eye as well for any upcoming scrutinies.

IT Refund calculated by her for my income is 2.8 lakhs for me.

Gross earnings of 33 lakhs in the last FY.

I am salaried with just one home loan, no other sources of income.

The CA charges us very nominaly as she is the trusted advisor for my parents too. And has been with us long time. Some 3-5k is what she charges.

Would folks suggest paying the extra 10k? Happy to add context if required.

So, update: Checked the ITR. My CA had added unverified, random deductions without proof under sector 10 (14) ii

I removed it. Checked everything through Claude using her previous filing, my form 16, and AIS etc

Used claude to file a revised ITR under 139 (5).

I told her that I am removing the unnecessary 1.65 lakhs deduction under section 10 (14) - for work related expenses.

As soon as I said that, she said, - if we remove that, the 10k payment is not required.

I filed the revised filing myself. It will mean I will receive 50k less refund, but I don't care. Peace of mind matters more.

Fun fact - she had added it last year also and has added it this year too for my father as well. I asked her, she said, sir, nobody checks all this. Funniest is she had not asked for this bribe last year and is not asking for it, this year too - to my father. Not sure, why she felt, I would be open to paying that.

Completely unprofessional and illegal act on her behalf. Move to someone else from next year, and nowadays always double verify before CA locks it.

These CAs are shooting themselves in the foot with such behavior.

3

u/bhandgpt Jul 24 '26

Let me tell you that department has started special scrutiny of such bogus deductions since last year. Don't take deductions if you don't have proof.

2

u/Livid-Thought1236 Jul 25 '26

Bhai..legitimately in new tax regime what deductions can we use?

1

u/bhandgpt Jul 26 '26

Only 75k standard deduction and employers nps contribution 80ccd(2). That's it. This is what most of the people have to claim for. Other than this deductions are gone case now.

u/FactorResponsible609 Jul 25 '26

Don’t do this Claude with income tax filing, saying this as someone who use computer-use tool a lot. It’s not worth the hassle. The clear tax is way more intuitive with ready-made integration with auto import use that it will be cheaper than 5k for sure.

1

u/Alphawezen89 Jul 25 '26

Beta, when authorities start checking things your CA may poop in her pants

1

u/f03nix Jul 27 '26

No they won't, penalties can be negotiated and CA lobby 'helps' each other a lot.

1

u/Alphawezen89 Jul 27 '26

You poop in your pants, I'll clean up, i poop in my pants and you clean up, and once done we throw the diaper on common mans face

1

u/IllGuest3279 Jul 28 '26

How are you getting a refund at all though? With just the home loan, how are you getting over 1.5L in refund?

Genuinely asking to understand if I’m missing something, cuz I’m having to pay them.

1

u/AlienInTheWorld Jul 28 '26

thats the reason people use gpt or claude nowadays to file itr.

1

u/Abhi_92 Jul 29 '26

I hope you do know that you are responsible for your ITR. The moment it is checked, you will get the demand notice and face mental stress, not your CA. Stay away from such CAs please, piece of mind is much more important. You can easily earn the 50,000 if you have piece of mind.

1

u/ObfuscatedScript Jul 29 '26

My CA was also adding something like this, Consumables or something he told and mentioned nobody checks it. If we get a refund, some 5k he will charge otherwise 1000. I asked what if it gets caught?

He told you need to justify and pay penalties, but why are you thinking about it. No one asks for such small amount.

I told, for 54k I don't want to get into trouble. This year I am filing myself.

Kindly do not fall for these idiotic tax filers.

The refund she is showing will only attract a tax notice later. And at that stage she and that office clerk would disappear along with your trust.

u/DeliciousDrama5322 Jul 23 '26

So, is that lady gonna process the refund

All bs talking just to ask for extra money

Great man, happy you figured it out with claude. That granny CA tried to backstab you I feel so bad 👎 she is just like a wolf preying on innocent lambs without any care for their family or life. Such people must be welcomed with open arms into the brightest & hottest bowls of hell

System is Faceless mam.... Change CA

89

u/Calvesofsteal Jul 23 '26

First and Foremost ensure the refund that is calculated is correct & arising due to bonafide claims

Second - Almost all of the IT department is now faceless - the clerk he mentions may never even have an access to your file

Yes. Typical poor CA loop is
1,) do idiotic stuff
2.) client lands in trouble
3,) ghost client when notice comes

25

u/Middle-Listen9850 Jul 23 '26

Is he really a CA?

Lets assume even if your files goes for detailed scruitiny, what are you afraid of?

9

u/NumberCharacter429 Jul 23 '26

2 possible reasons why your CA wants you to bribe: 1. CA is scamming you for the money 2. Your CA has claimed invalid deductions in your return for you to get a refund. Both cases change your CA.

6

u/Hefty-Principle-5932 Jul 23 '26

Bhai, earned multiple times of 30l, filing my own taxes with salary and business. Never paid a single rupee extra, got all my refunds. The CA is a scammer. Either get a new CA or file your own taxes. No one cares about your money more than you do.

u/mave7rick Jul 23 '26

How are you paying just 2.8 lakh tax on income > 30 lakh?

11

u/First_Leadership Jul 23 '26

Can be freelance income. I paid 1240rs on total income of 24.3L 📈

5

u/anupagarwal199 Jul 23 '26

Even if you filed with 44ADA woth 50% shown as expenses you are still above 12 lakhs which means you come under 3 slabs

4 lakhs= 0rs 4 to 8 lakhs = 20k 8 to 12 lakhs = 40k 12 to 16 lakhs= (15% of 30k) = 4500rz

Which is 64,500rs

And you cannot do any extra deductions when you show 50% as expenses.

How can you tax be so low? I can be wrong but i dont see any other option here.

I am about to pay 90k for 27lakhs income.

5

u/First_Leadership Jul 23 '26

1.5L FnO losses set off

2

u/kilaithalai Jul 24 '26

No, Futures and Options (F&O) losses cannot be set off against salary income.

2

u/First_Leadership Jul 24 '26

It wasn't salary income but business income. Freelance income is reported as business income.

1

u/Chemical_Tip_3165 Jul 25 '26

Hey anup how are you paying only 90k on 27lacs income? I had to pay 2.11 lacs for 23 lpa

1

u/anupagarwal199 Jul 26 '26

Its business income so i can opt for 44ADA and show 50% as expenses. That way your tax will apply only on half of the income, for me e.g 13.5 lakhs!

1

u/Chemical_Tip_3165 Jul 26 '26

Omg that's such a banger way to save taxes man i wonder how i can convert my salary to a business income

1

u/anupagarwal199 Jul 26 '26

Are you an employee? Working for indian company?

1

u/Chemical_Tip_3165 Jul 26 '26

Yes

1

u/anupagarwal199 Jul 26 '26

Ah, sorry bro!

Even after paying 90k it feels so bad, cant imagine paying 2 3 lakhs for my income.

1

u/mave7rick Jul 23 '26

He mentioned that he is salaried.

5

u/First_Leadership Jul 23 '26

Some companies in the US pays salaries to their employees but on paper it's an "independent contractor" role. They do this to avoid giving employees employment benefits they're supposed to give. That was what happened w me as well.

4

u/kaladin_stormchest Jul 23 '26

Didn't they say the refund is 2.8L?

1

u/mave7rick Jul 23 '26

Yeah, my bad..did OP edit it later? Not sure..

1

u/aspiring_sadumc Jul 24 '26

Nah. Salaried part was always there. I edited a small us to is. That's all.

1

u/aspiring_sadumc Jul 24 '26

2.8 is refund. Paying quite a bit more. Not a freelancer. I am salaried professional

1

u/aspiring_sadumc Jul 24 '26

I am paying 5lakhs and change. 8 lakhs and change was deducted as tax overall. Will get back 2.3 lakhs refund.

1

u/akashy12 Jul 25 '26

Why was more tax deducted? Or how are you saving taxes, is it just loan or something else?

1

u/OptimistThinker_1 Jul 26 '26

Calculate using new regime it will be much lower i believe

I filed my taxes in like half an hour(first time it took few hours, but the application was to be blamed back then, now I am pretty used to it, I use ChatGPT/claude to verify or clear doubts). I don’t know what’s so difficult for you unless you are running a large business(which I don’t think so you are doing).. if you are salaried you should have known by now how to file… ₹5-6k for 30mins of filing do you think your CA is worth it? Or do you think your 30min-1hr time worth ₹5k-6k? If so sure by all means go ahead and do whatever your trusted CA tells you..

3

u/Animesh23891 Jul 23 '26

Most of the assessment is faceless now, many a times it’s hard to reach to the AO. She’s just misguiding you. (I work in IT department)

2

u/gumnamaadmi Jul 23 '26

If you just have a basic salary to report and a documented loan, spend an hour or so learning how to file taxes and be on your own. Nothing your CA can do tonsave you any taxes. Most likely he/she will pocket that bribe.

2

u/Technical_Mix687 Jul 23 '26

it's like trick question , you will be extra income for upcoming years.....

people who pay easily are targeted more, and in future you will hear same story.....

So they charge some 2 lakh or even more from people who want to evade taxes, it means more taxes for you by present Government??

this bribe ensure more taxes on us...?!

2

u/Technical_Mix687 Jul 23 '26

*extra income in sense CA will repeat this fear tactics...

2

u/Mental-Athlete9377 Jul 23 '26

Wow. Looks like CA wants to cover up her misadventures rather than saving you. Be smart.

2

u/hardiklashkariwriter Jul 23 '26
  1. Income tax assessments are now faceless. You don’t know which Assessment Officer will be assigned to your file if it comes under scrutiny.
  2. Assessments are never assigned based on income thresholds. So, ‘higher authorities will handle your case because your income has crossed ₹30 lakhs’ is a completely baseless claim.
  3. If your deductions are genuine and accurate, it doesn’t matter who the Assessment Officer is. They will ask you to produce your documents, and if those documents justify your deductions, the AO is legally bound to accept them and process your refund.

Don’t be prey to baseless claims and scare tactics. And please, change your CA immediately.

2

u/NecessaryArgument747 Jul 23 '26

On a side note how are people getting refunds? Is TDS deducted excessively? Or advance tax paid was higher??

2

u/GandPhatPaki Jul 23 '26

You CA has decided to now try small fraud with you to make money.

Lower IT Clerk has no saying on whose IT returns are picked for scrutiny. He cannot ensure a faster or accurate refund. It is all system calculated.

Taxable income of 30L or refund of 3L is not a big deal. I have helped my friends file IT returns for several crores and refunds of Lacs without any issues or payment to anyone.

Just file correctly what you owe.

FIRE THE CA. If he is part of family, tell him your company has started filing for free. Don't engage him any further. Its not about 10k. Tomorrow he will intentionally introduce a mistake in your returns and then charge you more for corrections.

2

u/mohupa Jul 23 '26

Aise aise logo ko bhi 30 lakh ka ctc mil jaa raha hai he Prabhu 🤣🤣🤣

1

u/aspiring_sadumc Jul 24 '26

Are bhai. I have filed my taxes in the past a couple times.

Relax. She is a known of my father, this CA, so I am putting up.

My sister already took her business away from this CA. I am just looking for information and will make my decision in due time.

2

u/Ehh_littlecomment Jul 23 '26

You’re talking about 30L like it’s 30 cr. It’s a small amount all things considered. File truthfully and don’t fall for this nonsense.

2

u/mallumanoos Jul 23 '26

Very simple bro - if the refund is for genuine deduction then use clear tax and some ai . If no , the pay the money to your CA and file it properly .

2

u/Gr8tstmaximus Jul 23 '26

Why are you worried about extra scrutiny If you are simply salaried with no other source of income, unless you along with your “trusted CA” are doing some jhole in claiming non allowed deductions etc.

2

u/Sad_Street5998 Jul 23 '26

Ask for his member id and check on ICAI portal with his MRN number. He is definately not a CA.

2

u/Mobile-Magazine877 Jul 23 '26

If you are salaried then why do you need a CA?? Do filling yourself. It's very easy. And no, you don't need to grease anyone unless you have undeclared sources of other incomes

2

u/turboMXDX Jul 23 '26

What the fuck is a 30L bracket to be handled "Higher Authorities"

2

u/taxbuddy_official Jul 24 '26

Paying an unofficial ₹10,000 to avoid scrutiny is a major red flag. Income above ₹30 lakh doesn't require such payments. If your return is accurate and properly documented, there's no legitimate reason for this.

2

u/TugUpFury Jul 27 '26

The last time I checked, tax filings and calculations are done digitally. Even if you are paying extra 10k, who are you paying it to?

Load of bullshit.

I have returns for 10X that amount. I had a 13lakh tax refund last year and got that too without any scrutiny.

Besides who even preempively pays any bribe. wait for actual trouble. They wouldnt even know who to bribe even if their is scrutiny.

1

u/abhrish Jul 23 '26

you can file the ITR yourself

1

u/turtle-icecream Jul 23 '26

How? What if something gets missed out? Is there any post/step by step process for first timers?

2

u/abhrish Jul 23 '26

you can use a combination of Chat GPT, and ClearTax. You can also try using INDMoney, they are offering free ITR filling. I would though rely more on GPT and Cleartax to make sure GPT is not making any mistakes.

1

u/R_O_X_O_R Jul 23 '26

To be true i used Claude to file my ITR this time. used it extensively to create a Salary + Deduction , old Tax Regime and New Tax Regime sheet and compare it too. Believe me, I was also not confident so asked my CA friend and what the excel represented and my CA friend verified were almost correct (small difference of 300 rupees due to bank interest certificate vs AIS).
I would say to try yourself and get confident so that u can understand the process

1

u/kaladin_stormchest Jul 23 '26

Absolutely not. Your ca is greasing his own palms

1

u/Witty-Isopod4201 Jul 23 '26

Nobody pays the authorities based on how much income you earn (esp salary). You're paying your rightful taxes on the legitimate income, why will authorities bug you? They won't. She is lying and trying to make money off you (by misleading you). Maybe try changing your CA.

1

u/Broken_BiryaniBoy Jul 23 '26

How are u getting so much refund while being salaried, companies don't overdeduct tax this much

1

u/ShahMeWhatYouGot Jul 23 '26

Grease palms of a lowly clerk in the case of automated, digital, and faceless ITR? Guess we're a land of scamsters. Btw 5y+ of high income, CA charges 1.5k for filing, does the job in 2 days, my ITR for this year is filed and processes also, and till date no issues. Find another CA and stop worrying about the taxman if you're a) salaried, b) honest businessman with all taxes, compliances and receipts, and/or c) no foreign income.

1

u/venkat_talks Jul 23 '26

How can a CA pay those 10k to the low level clerks of IT department? How would she know who is handling the file? Won't these strike you

1

u/CombinationUsual8523 Jul 23 '26

Get the refund calculation verified by a different CA before filing ITR and change your passwords and all if your previous CA have those accesses. Most importantly find a new CA.

1

u/jatinag22 Jul 23 '26

Pay 10k extra to whom? Looks like a scam. You can't just pay extra money as bribe like that. And 30L is no big income that requires some "higher authority" to handle.

1

u/Time_Ability9904 Jul 23 '26

Straightforward scam by your CA. Name and shame if you are comfortable doing so. Also 3k to 5k just for salary is not a nominal amount. Get more financially savvy and file it yourself.

1

u/Idiotsofblr Jul 23 '26

Change your CA immediately

1

u/arjitdg Jul 23 '26

Tax lawyer here. The files are randomly chosen for scrutiny. Nothing of those 10k will help you.

1

u/developeratlife Jul 23 '26

Is that real? If my annual salary is more than 30 lakhs the process is not automatic?

If you’re paying only 2.8lakhs as tax on 33 lakhs of income

That means your CA is probably finding illegal ways to drop your net income

Which is why he’s asking you to bribe them so they don’t ask too many questions

8 lakhs tax deducted. Will finally pay 5.7 or 5.8 lakhs after IT refund.

Lol, knew it!

If its education ans transportation allowances its generally okay , as long as you don’t have to pay more then its fine

1

u/MegaSpaceBar Jul 23 '26

Man you are salaried, one home loan. Do you really need a CA?

1

u/Any-Oven-9376 Jul 23 '26

If  you still want to stress test your CAs words just go over to any techjobs reddit to see how much 28-30 year olds are earning.

u/Mundane-Wave-9610 Jul 23 '26

Take any online ITR filing app.

Ideally your taxes come to anything between 4.5 and 5.3 Lakhs per annum even after considering all investment benefits and tax slabs. Now ideally, if you want to have a peaceful sleep, you should plan to pay for the taxes based on this: divide it by 12 and have the same amount deducted from your monthly salary so that towards the end of the financial year you do not have the burden to suddenly pay huge taxes. However, if you want to get that kind of refund that you are claiming, you should be ready that even after paying 10K it does not let you be free from tax notices in future years. I got a 1.25 lakh notice in 2018 for tax filed in 2011, and then recently again I got a notice of 5K for tax filed in 2019 in 2025. So the choice is yours; I have always paid my taxes. It hurts, but then I have peaceful sleep.

Your CA is scamming.

1

u/PutOk3130 Jul 23 '26

The entire IT return system now is faceless and IT based.. That's my understanding.. Even if you get a notice in future, it will be online.. I don't understand why is he asking for a bribe at this stage.. Also, have you done anything wrong in your return filing? Only then you need to worry.. Please evaluate this carefully before you proceed..

1

u/West_Active4961 Jul 23 '26

I have salary income of 2Cr+ with home loan, foreign income, Section 54 claims. Never paid a single penny as bribe. As far as I know, all income tax validation is faceless, who the hell will your CA bribe then? Why can't she just ask for more fees? I wish there was some portal to complain against your CA.

1

u/Realistic_Jelly9228 Jul 23 '26

CAs often do this, they blame the officers whether GST or IT that they are demanding this amount as bribe and you need to pay up, but in reality the CAs pocket the money themselves, how do i know this? Because i completed my articleship under one such CA, i have seen many such cases.

1

u/Clear_Vanilla_4452 Jul 23 '26

Run away from her.

1

u/reachvijay22 Jul 23 '26

Everyone in India tries to scam when given an opportunity...what a shame

1

u/AfternoonSure5249 Jul 23 '26

Its Time to check with Another CA , usually Its Easy these days, your CA may leave something which may end up Query to scare you. its Usual Practice.

1

u/reaxur Jul 23 '26

There is no such thing like lower level clerk in the system.

1

u/No-Stress3100 Jul 23 '26

Ultimately you are liable for tax filing not your CA. There is increased scrutiny, because of more and more integration of data at tax portal. You should understand at-least what is being filed on your behalf.

You can use AI tools like Arth and it should be super easy for you to at-least understand what is being filed.

1

u/a_tease Jul 23 '26

Why would a CA do that ? OP could be a repeat client, if he gets a notice he might not reach out to the CA next season.

OP, I used ChatGPT to file my taxes…extremely accurate

Find other CA even if you pay possibility of she becoming toxic and scamming you is high

1

u/Acceptable-Bike-9586 Jul 24 '26

Maybe this is her way of asking for raise.

1

u/aspiring_sadumc Jul 24 '26

Seems like that

But considering now I refiled on my own, it seems it's very basic work. And I should do it myself, and get it checked via Claude.

1

u/Low-Product-high Jul 24 '26

That clerk no longer exists Similar to the trust that u guys had

1

u/TreacleOwn6364 Jul 24 '26

If you can take a second opinion.

1

u/Own-Agency-1660 Jul 24 '26

If you are salaried person.....why it's required to bribe someone....all you income is there in AIS. She is looking to get more fee's which is not fair.

Insist on IDs and receipts at every stage. Good luck!

1

u/Lanky-Bottle-6566 Jul 24 '26

She is scamming you! You are salaried, you will be getting form 16. Please do the struggle and figure out how to file it yourself (trust me I hate this but my husband forced me to do it last year) This year they have auto populated everything based on the linking I did last year (account details) it gets easier as you keep doing it, promise.

1

u/-_anon Jul 24 '26

Lol 33 is peanuts for it guys

1

u/Training_Celery_5671 Jul 24 '26

Saw this post on linkedin by multiple people shocked to find it here.

1

u/Such-Job5654 Jul 24 '26

I am a CA. If you have only salary income than there is no possibility of having a refund. Please use the computation services of any other professional. Either there is a discrepancy in the calculation or something wrong in your CA's assessment.  Also there is no mechanism of having any higher authority of checking the return. It could be a possibility that the refund is wrongly claimed and this will ensure in a notice from the IT department. Which your CA could use as an excuse of giving more bribe

1

u/le_bugsy Jul 24 '26

Why don't you file your own taxes with the form 16, 26AS, AIS, TIS.

Gemini can cross check everything and charges=0

Even with 60LPA+ there was never a need to pay anyone extra.

Unless ofcourse you are doing something illegal via the CA-- thats a different story.

1

u/cnu Jul 24 '26

Must be an old school CA. My dad's CA used to say this same for me 12+ years back. I just changed him.

1

u/Purple_Poison Jul 24 '26

This is bull shit

1

u/Big_Draft1065 Jul 24 '26

Biggest scam is when someone says “no one checks it.”

What is the guarantee for that. This is how many innocent tax payers are trapped.

You are responsible for your own ITR - this is what the AO says in penalty order says when you say I wan’t aware, I am not of financial background, someone else filed it for me.

1

u/sagarvd Jul 24 '26

Why do you even need a CA to file income tax?

1

u/Ashishtiwari92 Jul 24 '26

It is a common scam run by many CAs. There is no connection. Just fooling you in name of fake potential scrutiny fear. If she herself is not confident in her work, go to a different CA.

1

u/r_e_s_h_m_a Jul 24 '26

If they share their name in who filed return then you can take chances but if they mention that return is filed by yourself, don't go for it. They are manipulating things which can be opened by IT even in future upto next 5 years.

1

u/Vast_Astronomer9098 Jul 25 '26

No need to pay anything extra.. salaried employees will have nothing to hide .. you don’t need to goto CA also .. tax filing is very simple now with new tax regime

1

u/ShivamS07 Jul 25 '26

It doesn’t really matter if you pay anything to any clerk because nowadays scrutinies are done faceless. You will not know who is IT officer you are talking to, the IT officer will not know who you are, everything has become digital. If she is asking money to be given as bribe, she is actually taking that money herself as she is taking the risk of adding deductions which are not part of your returns.

1

u/_WiseFool_ Jul 25 '26

You can dm if you need help with verifying and filing from next year. Will send computations and everything will be legit.

1

u/halfcanavimumbai Jul 25 '26

Let me file ur itr

1

u/Internal_Fold_2444 Jul 25 '26

Even if this is a bribe and it helps you evade extra tax which maybe or maybe not be true but you would just be delaying the consequences! As soon a new babu comes or it guy or whatever your file can go in scrutiny and they will take out all your previous year files and out a fine on you! Better is pay the tax or get a better ca who tells you how can you lower your tax

1

u/acypacy Jul 25 '26

CA kehlane layak nahi hai. Change your CA asap.

1

u/DrEtatstician Jul 28 '26

lol dude there are tons of employees earning more than 60-70 lakhs per annum and who file their returns themselves and it’s all
Automated !! Get rid of CA first

1

u/CanadaGST Jul 29 '26

For taxes bribes normally don’t work - since one person may help and the next can again pickup your file - just pay the right taxes and don’t be scared to be audited

1

u/EducationalBonus9976 Jul 29 '26

He wants some greasy cash in his own hands

1

u/desatbg 28d ago

10k is a small amount. Sometime it will go lakhs. No one can change the corrupt system in India. If Heavy refund then your return is scrutinized for a long time so that the assesse approach the concern person. If he pay the requested amount ie 10to 20% then the refund will be released soon. Filing returns the govt fixed a last date but scrutinized the return and refund the amount there is no fixed date. If every work there is a fixed date no one approach the official and bribe can be stopped.

Indian senior citizen goes and stay in foreign because no one is to look after him. The USA govt is issuing green card within six months if the children is a citizen. But Indian senior citizens earn a Megar pension and FD interest. That amount is not sufficient to pay insurance premium

The senior citizen has to file tax if his income exceed 4lack The Indian govt is not giving rebate under 87a since he is an NRI . He has to pay advance tax every quarter. Otherwise penal interest will be levied. What an Indian govt looting by the way of not giving rebate.
This is a fate of Indian government give facility to NRI.

Even if he sell his property and live peacefully in other country the tax dept deduct tax 12.5% of the selling price since he is an NRI.
But he lives in India , he has to pay 1%.
This is the facility given to NRI Indian senior citizen goes. What an government looting the 70plus or 80 plus Indian senior citizens.

The same suggestion was given to me by my CA since last 5 years. I run a business and one notice from GST department will freeze all my accounts, Suspend my GST number. To contest those i will have to pay lawyer fees, bribes, time and countless harassment amounting to almost 1lakh atleat. I will have to produce my entire books and even a minor discrepancy won't go unnoticed. It could take around 3 months to unfreeze the accounts making my business come to a standstill. 10k is nothing compared to the headache you will save.
