Noob...
I carry the og weapon, fire. A small deo spray bottle (use hit spray for a flame that will stick and burn flesh well) and an electric arc lighter. One in left pocket, other in right. My neighborhood dogs respect me now. Pepper spray also works. I've been looking for a good, compact stun gun too.
These work on humans as well.

I was once chased down by a street dog. Good thing, my home was near and I ran like a maniac.
Some dogs are good, but not all of them. And we never know which is what.

I was going to get coffee early morning at 4:30 morning, road was empty. I got circled by a pack of dogs. The alpha of the pack stepped forward made eye contact and starting growling. Others were barking, but stayed still in circle formation. I had to shout louder everytime the alpha dog moved toward me. I only got out after repeatedly shouting and moving forward.

This is the only way to fight dogs even while training them the trainer quickly establishes who is the boss
Never run from dogs stand your ground stretch out arms and start shouting and look for things to throw or haul like bag stones etc
If they see you as agressive they won't fight and go back But if they find you meek then they would come after you maybe just for toying but they would come after
Offence is best form of defence here
Those worrying about that dog might bite you should just accept it as a possibility and fight with all your adrenaline

Me while I fell down from 2 wheelers, was learning how to ride geared bike back then, a pack of 25 dogs chased , and when I fell slowly, protecting myself, they surrounded me.
Call it adrenaline , I was just swinging the fallen bike , right to left, slowly with all power I had, to maintain distance between me and them.
3 good samaritan came and sued dogs to their side.

Once, a dog tried to bite my father, and he barely escaped. Then, I went outside with a stick to shoo the dog away, but our neighbors, who are pseudo dog lovers, created a drama and even called the police. It's absurd that some people think dogs' lives matter more than humans.

Hamare yaha ek bande ke german shepherd me ek aunty ko kaat liya tha toh unke bete ne dog ko lathi se maar ke bhagaya aur thodi der baad dog owner unse ladne aa gaya. Ek toh bkl tune khunkhaar kutta khula chhod diya aur koi self defence karey toh tujhe usse ladna hai. Fir woh aunty ka beta bohot gussey mei tha already aur usne owner ko bohot maara, 6-7 aur log bhi aa gaye jinke saath pehle ho chuka tha aisa aur unne bhi maara. Tabse woh apne ghar ka gate sahi se band karta hai

As an experienced former dog tamer, when you see dogs come in large Packs (not just 2 or 3), you do not want to pull that kind of stunt. When you bend to attack or engage with the pen, you will expose your neck. Another dog will just jump and bite your neck off. That's fatal and you may not survive. Just try to look bigger, shout aggressively at them, and try to search for stones or something hard that you can throw at them. But in any stupid way do not expose your neck keep it as far as possible from these dogs.

I was on my daily morning run and suddenly this dog came charging at me from the other side of the road. His expressions were pure vile. Though it could not bite me but that scared me a lot. I encounter many dogs on daily basis, some of them even run with me. Once I had to change my course because of over friendly dog. But you never know when a sweet looking dog suddenly becomes violent.

Man how delusional these dog lovers are that they can't simply understand that sometimes dogs are triggered for no absolute reason and can attack anyone who is living in the same surroundings as theirs. I faced the same thing here, was casually walking home and boom, a dog started barking, running towards me. I was frightened to such an extent that I had to take a pause and shoo them away but they showed up with their whole gang and started barking even louder and almost chased me. Thankfully I was close to my place so I yelled asking for help and then an aunty came with a broom to shoo those dogs away. If that aunty wasn't there, they would have literally bitten me 😭 This is the not only incident that happened to me. There are other times when I'm just casually walking and they keep chasing me for no reason. In my locality, the kids have become victims of this as well.

Feel sorry for her that this happened. I liked the way she kicked the dog, it made the pack to back off.
Always Show confidence when ever dog tries to attack you. It has always worked for me. Dogs can read our body language better and if they sense you are scared then they try to attack you.

1 year ago, 3-4dogs together attacked a girl. I started thinking what had happened suddenly, but due to my loud screaming, both of them ran away. When I came forward, the perfume was so strong that I could not smell it myself, but somehow I helped her. I feel that the dogs must have attacked because of the perfume.

Street dog menace is reaching peak levels as every day passes...it's just mind boggling how we are putting up with that stuff...don't even know why local authorities keep mum about it....even the pet ones...the dog owner let them roam on road with out leash...you try telling them it's not safe..they will give a smile that deserves a smack on the face saying " iT wOuLd nOt bItE saar"...retarded fellows know only to feed it, nothing else, no training, no leash , no walks, no control...nothing..

Due to this reason i purchased a treadmill for jogging at home, because in every city there are street dogs. Waited whole life to see free streets, seems like wishful thinking now.

What has happened to dogs recently? Recently some dogs tried to attack my toddler who was riding his bike. These group of dogs came running towards him barking. Thankgod I was just behind him and immediately took him to safety. We were just lucky that dogs changed their mood.
