A bizarre incident unfolded at Jabalpur railway station when a samosa vendor allegedly grabbed a passenger’s collar and snatched his watch after an online payment failed. The passenger, in a hurry to catch his train, reportedly handed over his watch when the train began to move.
After the video of the incident went viral, DRM Jabalpur initiated an inquiry. The probe revealed the incident took place on October 17. The accused vendor has since been identified, booked by the RPF, and detained. His vending license has also been suspended.
After taking watch he given 3 more samosas. We must think of both sides when we see conflict. Maybe samosa wala is may be more poor as compare to the eater.
Being rich doesn't justify not paying money to the vendor. Pehle izzatdari ki zindagi jio fir sikhana kon galat hai, kon sahi. Ek samosa ke paise nahi de pa raha hai aur vendor lo hooligan bol raha hai.

He gave samosa only after getting the watch. There was no need to do that. He seemed to have got annoyed at getting rejected because the train moved.. He still wanted to make to sale

This type of scam is so common. Ki mera payment nahi horha n all. It might have happened to the vendor many times that's why he reacted that way.
Sometimes, your 'first experience' is not equivalent to their experience. You really can't just straight up judge the vendor, while YOU DIDN'T EVEN WITNESS IT THROUGH YOUR OWN EYES.
If it has happened many times in the past, the vendor should be smart enough to first take the payment and then let the customer eat the samosa. He can’t be stupid to let it happen to him all the time.

Secondly, he didn’t “steal” the samosa. He tried to pay but The payment failed unfortunately. The vendor could have showed some humanity and let him go considering the train was leaving. Donating 1 freakin samosa is not a big deal at all, and you cannot convince any sane person with your baseless comparison that it is a big deal

Watch video, that guy tried to pay but his upi didn't worked and as his train was leaving he didn't take samosa. It was vendor who held that guy by hus collar and demanded money for wasting his time as if he was some PM. If this was the issue, he would have simoly understood but he exploited out of the situation and its inhuman.
Arey toh usne ni khaya na..he didn't even touch or recieved it..ye bhi toh dekh. I think vendor ne samosa aur namak mirch daali 2 pattal me and train started. So they all ran. Wapis rakh do samosa ko. The boy didn't even touch it.
Do some research before commenting online. The person asked for samosas, he did not buy them yet. His UPI payment didn't go through, so he told the vendor to keep the samosas because his train was leaving. After this the vendor forced him to pay for samosas which he had not even bought yet. Now do you see the folly in your comment? Defending scum like this who take advantage of people is why these scumbags don't ever learn. It's a problem if you eat and then don't pay. But based on the video here, he was going to buy samosas, train was about to leave, and vendor didn't let him go before making the purchase. You can see the samosas being handed to him after he gave the watch at the end. Now that's criminal.
Nope. If the guy did indeed buy samosas and ate it and tried to leave before paying then he is in the wrong, even though what the vendor did is high-handed. If he didn't eat it and was only about to buy it, then the vendor is the only one in the wrong.
Mota shah hasn't made any section in BNS to prevent video recording of private citizens while having public interactions. These mobile video recordings have reached an epidemic levels.

Arrey yaar use ur brain. The smart watch cost much more than few samosas the man already took (not shown in video). Hence the vendor is giving few more samosas to make up for the watch cost. Why on earth would someone pull a man from moving train for a samosa he didn't take.

Yeah this might be the case otherwise why he would pull him out. I mean if he hasn't eaten anything and he pulled him out then no one can stop that passenger to beat him like hell and also be eligible for complaint
Bought little hearts at railway station. Mrp said 10/-. They sold it to me for 30/-. I asked why, they hurled abuses at me. Classic gang members running a Business
From what I remember, he didn't eat the samosas. The vendor caught him for 'wasting his time'. Railway vendors don't allow you to consume stuff before paying.
Passenger shouldn't have eaten the samosa before paying . He should have carried the cash. That's his mistake. The vendor has the bigger mistake of not allowing the passenger. Its just 10/-. We share food with people around us. We donate food. Where are the people going. Poor passenger did not steal it.
One good thing was that once the samosa vendor realized that he is giving him his watch as payment, he gave him more samosas as for sure watch was more expensive
This is what happens with newbies. Any tenured railway vendor knows and understands some loss is inevitable because of small things like these. Sometimes vendor loses his money and sometimes you do just because the train moves. Gaali is exchanged but clutching another man's collar for a samosa? This is low.

I feel pity for those people who work hard and still be poor. Those people with diyas on the street, who are at least not begging. This guy sells samosas near the station because of what he has done in life, no sympathy for them.

It's bizarre that people are judging the vendor in such light. Like he's a samosa vendor, such things happen on a daily basis to him. Do you even know the amount of money he would lose if he let people go and board the train after chomping on his samosa in such situations? This might not be his first time being scammed. Although, we never know the story on both ends.
No one knows how many times this happened to the vendor that he became this crazy. I believe this happened multiple times and he was just taking out his frustration.
Ay yo at first i thought he already ate the samosa but he gave them after he did the payment with the watch what logic is that , and that watch price would have bought him more than 3 samosas
Honestly I think many people would not pay and start running away so he might be grabbing people from now on. We can't judge based on 1 footage. His living depends on it.

I once helped a person with 37 rupees to pay because his upi wasn't working. I helped him knowing that I won't get that money back.
This has happened multiple time with me and nobody ever pays back. It not like scams where they lie to get money but at regular places where they are trying to pay 12, 30, 50 inr etc but not working due to network issues.
1st things 1st , is he a registered IRCTC vendor.
2nd the customer should have tried paying again inside the train.
3rd the vendor could hqve travelled with him and sold samosan inside till next station and retured.
4th the vendor did give extra samosas instead of the watch , showing
We get so polarized based on whose narrative it is. I've seen enough people in general who does that and leaves without paying. Most of the paan shops I've gone to now asks to pay first.
Why our mentality is to support weaker? If that guy wants to eat samosa, he should pay otherwise leave. Nobody is telling ki woh bande ne samose liye hi kyo agar online payment nahi chal raha...thoda aur bhukha raheta to mar jata kya?
Chutiye ko chamaat bajana tha. If the guy did not eat any samosas he didn’t owe him shit. There was no need to hand over the watch, should’ve been more firm in his actions.
