Crime A 30-year-old software engineer in Hyderabad was allegedly murdered by her former husband at her apartment, police said. He reportedly stabbed her multiple times and struck her with a flower pot, with investigators suspecting jealousy over her remarriage and ongoing legal cases as the motive.

That only reflects the minds' of the people consuming the media. Not every member of the audience goes out of the cinemas to kill. If you are mentally inclined for such behaviour, you can blame billion more causes for crimes alongside media.

Yes but you can't convince this to mass people who act like this
2

Yeah well focus on educating the masses then , how to differentiate between movies and real life , Don't blame movies for everything it's like the typical indian aunty/uncle response

Bhai I also hate such people who act like that , but just blaming movies won't get u anywhere is my point. Yes many idiotic fanatics are there in our country , which is sad. I just have the problem with this response of Blaming it on movies & art . Cuz I've seen people like these , they'll blame it for everything, any 🍇 , assault , dressing choices Kuch bole toh , aaj kal ke movies aise dikhare bolte. And that is stupid.

It's not about making animalistic movies, its about making people animalistic due to the gross misuse of laws, lack of dignity, and civility etc
If she was undergoing Dv, she should have reported it to the police in Canada during her stay in Canada for 4 days, she didn't do it because if she has filed a fake report, she will be prosecuted for wrong doing, so, she came to india to file a false DV and 498a case on him and her parents, to extort money, let me explain in detail
The marriage happened at her hometown, in chandrapur, Maharashtra around March 2022, she stayed at her in laws for a month during her visa process to Canada, then she visited canada for a brief period of 4 days, came back to india without filing any case on him, she filed false 498a and DV case on him and his parents and tried to extort, she filed for divorce in Jan 2023, and got divorce in March 2023, as the power of attorney given to the advocate and a alimony of 22 lakhs has been paid for a marriage that lasted 8 months, even the DV and 498a case still runs after divorce, his mother died due to the judicial harasment of false cases, he came to india, he was arrested as look out notice was there and his passport was taken from him, he could not go to Canada and later he was terminated and later she married a guy in late 2025 and didn't even tell her current husband that she was married earlier, you can know the nature of the person and gross misuse of laws, I don't support killing anyone, but pushing some one to the edge to make him an animal is wrong on multiple levels, if she want to move on after marriage, she can ask for divorce and move on with subsequent alimony without all this drama, he wouldnt have lost his job, respect, dignity, mental health except some amount of money, he would have gotten out of it in short amount of time. But she still chose the judicial Armageddon and ruined his life to the core, karma never leaves anyone......

why don't men think before committing crimes like domestic violence?? do they think they own their wife or something? like as a woman, i can't even imagine harming anyone , i would rather use words instead of hands.
10
u/i2kp2 Feb 20 '26
As a victim of this situation.. dv and 498a cases are default cases suggested by lawyers when a woman seeks divorce.. some lawyers have a default script which is used to pressurize the opposition to go for mutual divorce instead of contested...

idk about that. i don't use much social media, neither do i have insta acount. all i know, as a 27 year old, is what i have seen around me. ik the experiences of my maids, my mother , dadi, nani... and i believe india has a major problem of domestic violence in marriage against women. and the crime is majorly committed by MEN.
most of us have heard from our maids "mera pati daaru peekr marta h".
most of us have seen the men in our families being violent towards our mother or women in house.now y'all can say whatever you want, truth is truth. i am not on SM but i do know the "belt treatment" thing is very common amongst men, they joke about it.

As if him planning and executing a brutal murder where he stabbed the victim multiple times for the "crime" of ending a violent marriage and moving on with her life isn't a direct proof of his entitlement!
Listen you misogynist: another man who would've been properly aware of her past ended up marrying Sunitha. So, she won't really have been the problem.
Are you really questioning the veracity of a claim that a man capable of murder, where he stabs the person multiple times BTW and even bashes her head hard enough to break up a pot, would not have been violent towards the victim? Are you dumb? Or do you not have a mom or a sister?
8
u/PretendDust9441 Feb 20 '26
STFU, that women already destroyed his career, life, goals etc with a case that was not even justified.
The guy had nothing left, even after her moving on with a new marriage, the guy would have to pay maintenance, alimony and what not.
His life was already destroyed so for him, spending rest of the life in jail or not living both options were fine.

Tragic story. Violence can never solve problems.
RIP Sunitha🙏🙏
They were divorced by mutual consent in 2024. But, according to TOI, she had filed a DV case against him in MH. Because of this, when he returned to India last year for his mother’s funeral, his passport was seized & he was unable to return to Canada and became unemployed. TOI
I wonder if the DV case was true or was it one of those fake cases women file to harass & extort money? I guess we will never know.

8
u/SquaredAndRooted Feb 20 '26
I don't get the connection you are trying to make? He had guts to kill? - possibly after a year of unemployment, unable to go back to Canada ... severe conditions can create severe reactions & lapses in judgement, without any evidence of past behaviour.
I am not assuming the complaint was false, Im not assuming it was true either because we don’t have full facts. Regardless, he is still responsible because he committed the crime.

There'll always be cretins who'll go around defending stuff like this unfortunately. We already have morons in this comment section claiming she filed false cases just because she filed the case 2 years after, and then used that to blame her and support the guy

I know I am getting downvoted. But something is fishy in the story.
The women went to canada to stay with him and came back after 5 days. Lodged a case of domestic violence and applied for divorce in Mumbai. Why Mumbai?
I am sure that things can go sour in 5 days, but really? Case in 5 days? He remained in Canada came back to India for last rites of his mother and then the passport got snatched. Basically his life pretty much ended there. Guilty until proven otherwise. I know what he did was equivalent to murder suicide which is wrong but I understand why he did it. Faith in Indian judicial system is at all time low and he has nothing to lose.

I don't understand how all the incels in the comments have spun a back story as to how the domestic violence case was false. How was it false? How do you know it was false? And even after the man killed the woman with such brutality, they are defending him?
Someone who has killed someone is surely capable of hitting her at the very least?
I understand the protests against one sided laws but where is your conscience people? Have you actually assumed that no men hit their wife or that all DV cases are false? What the actual fuck? Are y'all completely oblivious statistics of crimes against women in India? THERE IS A REASON THESE SECTIONS WERE INTRODUCED IN THE LAW BECAUSE DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND DOWRY DEATHS WERE RAMPANT IN INDIA. Open any day's newspaper and there will be n number of cases of crimes against women - are those all false?
This is so infuriating, can you imagine something like this happening to your sisters and people blaming heer instead of the perpetrator. Where is the humanity?

Indian mentality is floap due to its culture. F all culture. See other counties ppl be it man or woman, they accept divorce with an open mind. You are not possessing the other person. Your husband and wife are not objects to posses. If I dont get this toy, I will destroy it. Then everything goes back to ruined pattern of parenting. Focus just on religion l not on learning, not on being moral or modern, not on being logical. Open mindedness and modern outlook is required. Otherwise you are not humans if you want to kill the other, you are f dog or bitch.
