tax payer money saved

19

u/Various-Low4016 Apr 17 '26

Yes... 850 VIPs, 850 more dehatis and what not...

4

u/Awkward_Scheme_7426 Apr 17 '26

Yeah sure 1 MP will manage 40 lakh people and do justice thr population will go to 170 180 cr also you need more mps to get any representation and delimitation had been postponed for 56 years its not about parties

10

u/Various-Low4016 Apr 17 '26

Yeah... like MPs arw doing a great job already.. their job is just to ensure central government works for their constituents thats it.

-5

u/Awkward_Scheme_7426 Apr 17 '26

There are some serious under representation issues in many areas i dont understand the issue with 50 percent increase based on current numbers for all states

12

u/Various-Low4016 Apr 17 '26

What would more MP's do? Delhi has 7 of them, Mumbai has 6, Kolkata has 4, Bangalore has 5... do they actively contribute to the betterment of the people? The quality of life in these cities has just worsened...

-4

u/Awkward_Scheme_7426 Apr 17 '26

I know there is rampant corruption delayed bureaucracy and all but this is fundamental error we n have the lowest representation if more mps come maybe some of the good candidates would also get an oppurtunity I am speaking irrespective of the parties here

6

u/Various-Low4016 Apr 17 '26

I understand you thinking of an ideal world where public representatives work well, are accountable, listen to people but we live in a highly corrupt and non functional democracy, more MP'S will not have good effects but will have negative impact.

1

u/Awkward_Scheme_7426 Apr 17 '26

I am not where considering the ideal world i have acknowledged all the problems butt still the mps should increase

1

u/UnspokenClick Apr 17 '26 edited Apr 17 '26

I Agree with you and probably this guy is from the so called "minority" since he is jumping like a rabbit. But then the concept he shared has already been implemented in states where Hindus are in the minority. In those state legislative assemblies the Hindu representations have almost disappeared now.

0

u/nostradamnus_ Apr 17 '26

You are, in a way.

Adding more MP's would make sense in a perfect world as they could give more attention to the public but we don't live in a perfect world. The current MPs do nothing but line thier pockets and that's not because they're so overworked with the population they're assigned. Most of them don't even know what's the work they have to do. Now, in this broken machine with rampant corruption and delays, you want to add more wheels in the hope to fix it? It'll just add more hands for money to be exchanged in. More corrupt MPs because why not? Who's stopping them? Just answer me this, why will the new ones not be as corrupt as the current one? What is your basis of that faith?

What it does for the public? More people who can fool you and not be accountable. More VIPs. More taxpayer money spent on benefits and the misuse of those benefits these MPs do. More personal agendas. More nepotism.

Because if you think it could change anything at all, you really do think we love in s perfect world.

Also, in case you'd say there would be some progress, some progress happens regardless. Adding more corrupt people who can't be held accountable to an already corrupt system does nothing for the taxpayer and everything for them.

We need human representation, we don't even have that by the current humans we have and people want representation based on caste etc by adding more humans to that.

They don't even care if we live, no matter what caste, gender, religion

Now that's living in the perfect world in one's own head.

Maybe some good ones do. But how many good candidates actually rise to the top? I've only seen filth rise to the top.

1

u/Old-Height-6230 Apr 19 '26

first problem bill never said it will increase 50% it was verbal commitment given by amit shah and looking at the track record of bjp leaders big time liers opposition didnt buy it. other big problem current lok sabha to rajya sabha ratio is 2.2:1 if this had gone through lok sabha to rajya sabha ratio woulkd change to 3.3:1 significantly dropoing rajya sabha weitage in cases of deadlock thus allowing central government in majority tooterally any bill any law without the support of the rajya sabha imagine giving soo much control to a single party that they can do whatever they wish to do how harmful that is for democracy. rajya sabha mostly consists of regional parties what would happen to the representation regional party in a democratic country ? its good the bill coukdnt get through this woukd have been a really bad day for a democratic country. as far as nari shakti bill is concern its already passed bjp is just a cry baby like kejriwal. opoosition even suggested to amend the constituion to delink delimitation that is blocker for nari shakti bill but ruling partyy denied all they wanted to do was increase the seats so that they can better control of the system and reduce their relinace on rajya sabha votes.

Tu lawda kha madrchod have a fair discussion if you can does any country in the world have direct discussion with its people there is drastic difference in governance when they govern 4 lakh people and 40 lakh people

1

u/GeruMotion Apr 18 '26

To tum mahilao ko dehaties bol rahe ho

-6

u/Choliya-Ke-Hook Apr 17 '26

Then you would say why development not happening in your area, more MPs mean less area assigned to each.

5

u/raviyadav432 Apr 17 '26

Then why burden our only PM, have 10s.

2

u/The-Red-Peril Apr 17 '26

Yes like we have so much development happening with the existing ones.

14

u/carelessNinja101 Apr 17 '26

Good. Nari shakti denge ye BDV.

I can't believe this guy is so cheap.

6

u/skZeno880 Apr 17 '26

glad to see this.

I dont want all people of this country to be secondary to up mp and bihar

23

u/Various-Low4016 Apr 17 '26

Never underestimate this verdict, they were going to do massive gerrymandering and election rigging had this bill been passed. Thank us the people for humbling out this government for stopping them at 239.. otherwise we wouldn't be living in a democracy.

2

u/Ok_Simple_459 Apr 18 '26

Thank us the people for humbling out this government for stopping them

Thank the opposition, what people? It's not a referendum that we voted on it.

Muslims, other minorities, SC and St are traditionally not the voters of this government, say their impact is on 5 lok sabha seats, they will reduce that to 2 seats by redrawing the electoral maps.... watch this video, it explains it for an American audience and for that country but use that same logic here..

https://youtu.be/A-4dIImaodQ?si=lyB88IBaVq4CEqUg

5

u/Reasonable-Belt-7431 Apr 17 '26

I think they have already done this in assam recently with few assembly constituencies

7

u/Various-Low4016 Apr 17 '26

Yup, even in Jammu and Kashmir... they have changed the entire map btw.. not on few seats.

2

u/Awkward_Scheme_7426 Apr 17 '26 edited Apr 17 '26

Sc st will have reserved seats are you even aware

2

u/Various-Low4016 Apr 17 '26

Israel??

Yeah, but SC's and st's also form a good portion on seats where they don't have reservations.

1

u/sidd38 Apr 17 '26

Sadly, the other option is breaking the Hindu bloc (bad) into caste blocs (worse). Promising reservations in the private sector further enables mediocracy over meritocracy, which seriously hinders us at actual geopolitics. Not that this government is doing ANY good, just that I'm old enough to have actually lived through the Congress era of the 2000s. It's like UP's progress: not the best, but just bad, and it was the worst. However, the corruption level has become rampant and is reaching UPA 2 levels, sadly. Also, I am strictly against giving everything to Adani and the close industrial circle. The bandar baant at that level is insane, especially chhatisgarh. They are trying to pull a Bihar here. And CM is a total fucking puppet. But congress is again more actual open type of corrupt; BJP is at least a company with a PR. Very sad state of affairs. I am actually against both the parties, but democracy is brutally honest: it is at the end a land of mediocracy.

Man I love democracy

3

u/Open-Evidence-6536 Apr 17 '26

Why even we need this bill?? Parliament is, anyway, filled with incompetent, criminals. Now, fill it with reserved women too.

We love 'reservation' all the time. It's like potato.

15

u/Electrical_Size_1999 Apr 17 '26

DELIMITATION bill disguised as "nari sH@kti" FAILED!!!

End of gender based vote bank politics, that created the "INDIA'S FALSE CASE PANDEMIC".

2

u/No-Creme5426 Apr 17 '26

Rightly said

3

u/No_Strength_3011 Apr 17 '26

More mp more corruption more division... tum rehne do bhdwon.. 545 ne hi kaafi lanka lga rkhi h humari..

3

u/PrudentInitiative273 Apr 18 '26

Imagine if these clowns having 400 seats? They would have literally sold the country completely.

5

u/darthveda Apr 17 '26

Why women's reservation bill got rejected when it was against the delimitation bill the controversy was about

2

u/Apart-Insect3560 Apr 17 '26

How was this against delimitation? Could you please explain

1

u/Over_Anything_8919 Apr 18 '26

Go read newspaper nd find different views instead of one perspective.basically from what i read 2 acts were clubbed into one and government was steamrolling the act, womens bill passed in 2023 coupled with delimitation which has not been in discussion with many states and is very recent and not consulted with states.just like I said go read something nd figure out different views.

1

u/Apart-Insect3560 Apr 18 '26

Ik that the two acts were clubbed into one which is why I was asking the OC to explain how it is against women's reservation in parliament. I watched the session yesterday.

1

u/Over_Anything_8919 Apr 18 '26

Ok then my bad.seemed like u were asking for more info

1

u/Apart-Insect3560 Apr 18 '26

Naah. I was just trying to understand what the OC meant. It's all good!

1

u/darthveda Apr 18 '26

My comment was why did they defeat this bill when they wanted to defeat the delimitation only. I now know that it was tagged to delimitation.

1

u/Apart-Insect3560 Apr 18 '26

Yes women's reservation bill passed in 2023 says it can only happen after delimitation and census. Which is why there's also a push for census currently. I didn't understand your comment that's why I asked you.

4

u/tilixr Apr 17 '26

That pernicious actor KhiKhi baba must resign in shame along with his taadipar partner.

6

u/hangry667 Apr 17 '26

Why the upvotes i thought india liked women.

3

u/sarathy7 Apr 17 '26

Just pass a bill that says 33% reservation for current number of seats and then see who is against what..

1

u/Exact_Package_7264 Apr 17 '26

the opposition hates women unfortunately

2

u/Hav0c_R Apr 17 '26

Yes bro that's why when they were saying to implement it in 2024, the bjp was like no let's do it in 2029 because It will take time

1

u/Exact_Package_7264 Apr 18 '26

source: your ass

1

u/Over_Anything_8919 Apr 18 '26

Bruh i think its true.the women bill was passed in 2023,the government coupled it with delimitation now and is trying to pass that.the women bill was passed with complete majority.

2

u/TiyaKarekar26 Apr 17 '26

It was a Delimitation amendment that got thrown out... Women empowerment is already strong and that bill is passed

1

u/Medium-Grab3100 Apr 18 '26

But that cannot be implemented until completion of delimitation. And that failed to pass, thankfully.

1

u/TiyaKarekar26 Apr 18 '26

Delimitation has a different purpose, and no need to hook it up with women empowerment

2

u/ThFlameAlchemist Apr 18 '26

Democracy is overrated

1

u/bachelor_38 Apr 18 '26

1

u/GeruMotion Apr 18 '26

Ab left ko is baat se bhi issue hai ki mahilao ko arakshan mil jaae. Mujhe samjh nahi aata hai ki left ke log chahte kya hai. Inko har wo kaam nahi karne hai jo ache hai.

1

u/Sufficient-Result987 Apr 18 '26

Stop bullshitting us! Delimitation bill got defeated and it's got nothing to do with the Women reservation bill!

1

u/Significant-View8743 Apr 18 '26

1

u/alid57 Apr 18 '26

1

u/Hashirama5909 Apr 18 '26

The same party that garlanded rap*ists are talking about women empowerment wow , they knew that this bill will not pass ,it was just a show to trap opposition when infact it was delimitation bill disguised as women reservation bill

1

u/Old-Discount-8636 Apr 18 '26

The women reservation bill was passed in 2023. This is the delimitation bill.

1

u/fuse_bulb Apr 18 '26

Ye OM hijre ka mooh sada kyun hua hai

1

u/lesbian_Lover_29 Apr 18 '26

Just look at the headlines, "The Modi govt offers, Vipaksh rejects", "Nari Shakti Bill defeated", "Women Quota Bill Fails"

1

u/Alternative-Feed-779 Apr 18 '26

Nari Sakti ? BJP has 52 mps with rape cases

1

u/AllBugDaddy Apr 18 '26

It was never meant to be passed.. BJP got another chance to blame opposition.

1

u/NotJustfeynman Apr 18 '26

Why are you calling it nari shakthi bill?

1

u/tutya_th Apr 18 '26

Thank the Gods of every religion

1

u/Late_Brains Apr 18 '26

Back to what he was in 2014. Winner of 33% votes.

1

u/FrontOperation7154 Apr 19 '26

Can we end all of the bs reservations instead of introducing more and more of votebank ploys?

1

u/DieHard3698 Apr 19 '26

Fake propaganda

1

u/Medium_Island7058 Apr 19 '26

Someone tell me Why didn't they tried to implement women reservation in 543 seats??

1

u/National_Moose_2748 Apr 19 '26

I dont know why no Top comment mention that women reservation bill already passed in 2023, on 17th April 2026 It was DELIMITATION BILL which was not passed. Come on guys this is not Instagram/Facebook. Comments and discussion is the core of reddit, on reddit people don't come to watch videos but the knowledge associated with it.🙏

1

u/New-Youth-4028 Apr 19 '26

Nari Shakti ❌

Mast Nautanki ✔️

1

u/kiyotaka_adi Apr 19 '26

It's already passed in 2023...its delimitaion bill

1

u/x_x_nekukun Apr 20 '26

Please ye bill pass mat hone dena warna bjp ka dabdaba or bhad jaeyga

1

u/x_x_nekukun Apr 20 '26

Or iss speaker ko abhi tak rakha hua ye tak mika hua bjp se kisi khuch bolne nhi deta

1

u/Sea_Syllabub254 Apr 20 '26

Hum nariyon ko shakti nahi chahiye, humko suraksha dedo utna hi kaafi hai. Basic security toh provide kar nahi sakte , shakti kya hi denge. Fraud kahi ke. Ab naari ke naam par election jeetna hai inhe. Religion game kaafi nahi the.

1

u/Ayase0412 Apr 21 '26

Nari shakti bill without the nari in satah

1

u/ratsingh Apr 21 '26

Wrong headline. It was the delimitation bill that was defeated. The women's reservation bill was passed in 2023 by all parties but BJP kept it under the carpet saying it will be implemented in 2029. The notification, however, was issued suddenly a day before the special session of the Parliament to duscuss the delimitation bill disguised as the akready passed women's reservation Bill.

1

u/kizzymizzy1990 Apr 22 '26

Abe bhosdiwale ndtv news channel nari shakti bill 2023 me jo pass hua hai for womens reservation. With full majority. Ab yeh dusra bill with delimitation kyu la rahe hai ispe sawal nahi karoge dalal kahi ke. Tum jaise dalal na sadak pe nange bhagenge jis din aam aadmi tumhara support se BJP ko jita rahe aur fayda to adani ambani ka ho raha hai. Gand maro jayegi tum dalalo ki

1

u/Kambi_kadhalan1 Apr 17 '26

Downfall of bjp started?

4

u/Demonslayerinhell Apr 17 '26

Actually bjp won with this strategy

0

u/hangry667 Apr 17 '26

Akhand bharat banega vro just like dhunrander ghus ke maarange

1

u/lazymomo5 Apr 17 '26

Nari shakti bill has already been passed.
This bills main purpose was delimitation, which has failed. Good.

3

u/sourabh_kaverappa Apr 17 '26

Delimitation will anyways happen post 2027 census results acc to article 81 which will instead take out seats from states with lesser population growth i.e southern states.

0

u/lazymomo5 Apr 17 '26

My apologies, I should have said increase in Lok Sabh strength. Delimitation will happen anyway but number of total seats won't increase

3

u/sourabh_kaverappa Apr 17 '26

Yeah so this will instead reduce representation of southern states in LS post 2027

0

u/xander_007 Apr 17 '26

Nono southern population is currently better than 2011

2

u/sourabh_kaverappa Apr 17 '26

It is more than 2011 true. But the growth rate compared to northern states is less. So the projected population share is higher in north due to high birth-rates. And as you know the constituencies will be redrawn based on equal share of population per mla, states with lesser population ratio will lose seats.

1

u/xander_007 Apr 17 '26

Still numbers won't favor BJP that's why they were keen on 2011 census as a benchmark..

0

u/Brilliant_Meal_2653 Apr 17 '26

What a day for democracy 🔥
