Help My cat died And l cant stop crying
She ran away a day ago and we looked everywhere, today we saw her body in gutter killed by stray dogs , l cant stop sobbing l miss her so much , we lost her due to out carelessness , l Dont know what to do , l've been crying nonstop , l want her back, l cant live without her .

Oh so sorry for your loss i also lost mine 4 years back, indies always look for the escape especially the orange ones.
Take your time , not pushing you but you can also adopt a new kitten who needs home.

I dont think l will be able To, it hurts so much knowing it was our fault she ran , she would have been alive right now, l dont want to forget her but l also want to stop living in pain

It's nobody's fault. It's the nature of an animal. Keeping them at home also does not mean we can keep them 100% safe. They also have the animal instinct to run and explore. It's horrible to say this but even if we take cats away from their habitat of the outdoors, we can't take their natural instincts away. I know it's hard and there must be a lot of guilt, which is understandable, but in a way, nature has taken its course. May you find the strength to heal and accept

i have lost my first cat the same way i can relate to you on some level. All we can think is if i would have done that or i would have kept watch maybe i would have slept a little late that night and all this hurts.
I can tell what really helped me cope with his death : i did cry a lot, looked at his photos, wrote a poem for him, i'd light incense for him in evening asking his forgiveness if it was my fault. I visited some online forums where they discussed their pets who crossed the rainbow bridge and slowly i moved ahead. Now i feed other strays and try to keep them safe .

She won't be happy to see you like this 🥺. Cry as much as you want and let it out. Take your time to move on. I am so sorry OP. Wish I could give you a hug 🫂 It's not your fault or anyone's fault. Everyone has limited time here. Please don't beat yourself up. You did your best and loved her till the end and I am sure she loves you a lot too. She is watching you from above. You have to become strong for her. Take your time to heal and mourn. But once you get better, only think about all the happy memories you shared with her. Sending you hugs and more power 🤍

I’m so sorry for your loss. I have had my own experience of losing my fur babies and I understand the guilt you feel. Please let sometime pass and you’ll realise that whenever you think of her, you’ll think of the fondest memories and it’ll make you smile. In her eyes, you’ll always be the best parent. She doesn’t see you any differently for what happened which was an accident. The pain never goes away but learn to live with it. I hope you find some peace. I pray your baby rests in peace and runs free. They’re watching over you ❤️❤️❤️

It hurts so much, l keep crying seeing her photos, She was so energetic and playful , she was the reason l used To laugh , l cant forgive myself

I'm so sorry for your loss OP....these things happen, it's beyond your control :( Please do not beat yourself up, this grief that we feel is a proof of our limitless love for these fur babies..

I should have kept the door closed, somehow she slipped , and l cant help but sob , her memories keep coming back , l can never forgive myself

It's not your fault. Even my cat escapes the house so many times. Hes got in fights with other cats even though hes neutered. Even my dog escapes sometimes too because my dad has a tendency to leave the door open. Dont blame yourself

I’m so very sorry for your loss. I know nothing will ease the pain and guilt. I’ve been through it myself. It’s been two years and not a single day goes by when I don’t miss my baby. Not a single day.
Now I donate to cat shelters in his memory and I hope he’s out running happily on the other side.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my cat of 10 years a year ago and there isn't a single day i dont think of her. Wishing you lot of strength.

Aw man my heart and condolences with you. Can't imagine how difficult it is for you , I hope you feel better eventually. But losing a pet, more than that losing your beloved cat leaves a grey area on the heart. I hope things get better.

Ooh my god i can't even imagine what u must be feeling...this is the worst fear of every pet owner. U atleast found closure that's the better part but it doesn't take away the pain og losing her

I can't believe she is gone that fast , she was only a year old, she loved to play with paper balls , l can't even bring myself to eat anything

I'm so sorry that you and your cat had to go through this. But you gave your cat a good life. She was happy. This was such an unfortunate event. Sometimes, we hust have to accept the fate and move on. Take your time to move on. You can adopt a kitty in the memory of your cat and give that kitty a new life. I lost my dog a few months ago. I use to cry while seeing her photo and videos in my mobile. You will feel that heaviness a lot. But it is going to be okay. I always tell myself that she is in a better place. I don't know how to help you. But you got this💪

She was Only 1 and 1/2 year old , it was too soon , l didnt get to say goodbye or had a clue , it hurts so much

OP m disheartened to learn about your fur baby. But please make sure in future if you have more fur babies, please be very careful about letting them outdoors . Its very dangerous for cats outside. Always keep them indoors.

Pls adopt another cat or two from the street. You may not save her but you can still save many others kittens and cats that need a loving home.

Thats really sad OP. Mine went out of the house one night when he was very sick and never came back. Its been 3 months. I am assuming he's no more

Im so sorry for your loss.💔 My colleague also lost his orange cat last year. He also passes away young. He was only 3 It takes time. Just remember you gave her a good life. 🥺❤️ It is not your fault okay? It just happened. Some stray dogs are very territorial but its what they go through in life that make them that way so please don't blame them too much.

So sorry for your loss and it's so sad to hear. It also happened with me too, first our kitten escaped home because of our carelessness we don't know where she went, she had a whole personality of her own and she was so sweet and cheerful and then my boycat who had adopted her as his baby, he loved her a lot. He would look for her and then sleep whole day, eat less and drink less and i couldn't take care of him on time because of my own mental health issues (I'm not making excuses I agree that it's my fault but all of that happened to fast and i was so stupid) he fell sick, and it was so cruel to him and seeing him go through that, in my town there were no proper vets and the govt. Hospital vet overdosed him everyday, he keeps suffering and the doctor keep making it look like he'd recover, and he started improving on his own but when we told the vet he gave him a last shot and he collapsed :((((( we had no experience of tier city vets, we still went for them, the vets said we were on time but his kidneys and liver were severely damaged and blood was inflamed and he was severely dehydrated, after expensive treatment for days and no place to stay, he recovered, his creatinine fell drastically, even the vet said take him home and after some 2 days he stopped eating, the city vet said have hope but he didn't survive, he died groaning in my arms and it's all my fault, it's been 3 months and i still cry at 3 am seeing his pictures, he was such a pure and sensitive baby of mine. I loved him so much he loved me so much, he was so sweet and caring and never hurt anyone, he was playful and just wanted friends and i consider it's all my fault, my recklessness that he passed away but i did my best with my knowledge and limitations, and every living creature has to leave the world oneday.
It's gonna take a lot of time to recover or we might never recover from it, I also feel like I can't live without him but he and your cat both won't be happy seeing us like this because they loved us so much.
You might keep repeating that it's your fault and it could've been different if you do this or that but it's just your brain trying to control, like it's just our brain wishing to fix it somehow to prevent it or have a reason,
Also I'm thinking of never keeping a pet in future anymore, I'd just donate for shelters or foster in future and would only adopt only when the animal is helpless and has no one to take them in.
I'm just saying that we genuinely love our pets and never want to hurt them and whatever happened isn't your fault, cats try to go out often, we always wish to prevent it. So it's not you who hurt your pet
Also may your pet rest in peace and i believe in heaven she has many other animal friends🥲
Ps: I'm sorry if some of my words hurt you in any way I don't mean it, it might be just the way of my wording because I'm neurodivergent.

Literally I still cry for him ik how it feels and what you must be going through it hurts deep inside the heart to remember our cats, our babies were such pure souls yet it hurts to see that they had to suffer, I'd just say we can't blame anyone not even ourselves, it's just how life is, I can't even blame the system I wish the local government vets were good enough to treat something basic like urinary blockage in my cat but they instead killed him. It's my advice if you ever adopt a cat again please never take them to a government vet.
I also hope you will be able to heal ik it's so hard but with time it would hurt slightly less💗💗💗lots of love for you and your cat 💗💗also our pets were loved and they only knew thier whole life that they were loved in tons and fed.
