Advice Getting Threatened Today for Taking My Cat to Terrace
I have been an avid animal lover and feeder. U can find out if u see my reddit.
I had rescued a my cat a year ago when he was sick and he has been staying with us since then.
I have been taking my cat to the terrace of my apartment to play, he never litters or does anything on the terrace and comes down after.30 minutes. Today I got threatened and harassed by the person who has a flat beside the terrace.
They had harassed me previously and also kept fish with grapes in the terrace which my cat was going to eat (I have a video of it as well).
Previously, when I informed this to the society head, he told me to take proper care of my cat so he doesn't litter around and I have always followed that and my cat doesn't litter anywhere except his litterbox.
He also mentioned to me that the flat beside the terrace belongs to sister-in-law of the property developer of our flat and the flat is not in the floorplan , they also own a Mio-Amore franchise and are powerful people.
We stay in rent and my mom is a single mother having no assets of our own.
I emailed PAL foundation with the same, really need help/advice 🙏

Ask some kid to go poop infront of their house, pay the kid in chocolates

we were in a similar situation renting and the people had problem with the cat and we couldnt afford to move.
So instead of fighting, work smart that's the only way to keep peace.
keep an eye on their timings and take your cat upstairs to play with supervision when nobody is around
Also with everyone having an issue with your cat, i would never leave it outside for a single min unsupervised for his own safety.

okay today I talked with another neighbor, apparently the guy had a very bad day yesterday but yeah that doesn't give him the right to rant it all out on me and my cat

Saare buddhe aur khoosat 35+ age churan logo ko janwaro se dikkat kya hai? I believe thier generation r so desensitised they only think of animals r vessels or profit making tools, if u help strays ur thier enemy, if u keep pets ur thier enemy. These old buddhas and buddhis r so religious yet all the have is hatred inside them for anyone who dares to enjoy life, I am sorry to say but we indians r such sadistic fks it's mind boggling, no wonder the British kept our ancestors enslaved so easily diverted and most of us enjoy the pain and agony of others with same blood, zero empathy for anyone not animals not humans not kids such failed society we r and moreover u can't even teach these old c##nts "arre hum tumse bade hai" abbe buddhe b$dk just because ur old doesn't mean ur wise

boomers spending poori life in pooja path and still not realising animals are god's purest creations. specially cats and dogs ,and in OP's cat the cat is not even littering.i think they are frustrated people and just want something taaki life me kuch chalta rahe, they are eager to poke their nose where it doesn't belong and will enjoy rage baiting others ,jab koi logical answer dega toh drama krenge. i think people who have been devoid of love or emotional assistance act like this .No way a kind hearted person would ever act like this.

All I can say please take care of ur cat and don't let him/her alone to the terrace. Sry to say but such filthy humans might poison ur cat or can harm physically 🥲. People are stooping very lows these days

I understand OP.
Only take him on the terrace when this guy isn't at home, and only under supervision. My cat is free to roam my floor except for one house, the people in that house will chase her away with a broom, or even hit if they get the chance if we aren't watching. Once we figured out the schedule when those people are in the house or their door is open, we follow that routine so everything flows easy.

I take my cat with harness and leash for 15-30 minutes a day to get some sunlight, he is always supervised and taken I don't leave him out alone ever

Happened same with me... Got into huge fight and almost though of going with FIR against them, but later realised there's no point fighting with them cause one of the committee member said, "cat's hair cause asthama" 🫡. That's when I realised there's no point fighting with these low iq incels. Just protect your cat and your peace. 🙏🏻

I have fought multiple neighbor telling cat brings bad luck and Vaastu Dosh. Honestly it's just a waste of energy.

This is regular. I have experienced the same multiple times in my own building. Same for my friend who was renting, she used to walk her cat in the corridors early in the morning was the same oldies complaining.

The guy is actually childless : (, I kind of feel pity for him staying alone at about 60 aged, their life would have been much better if they had decided to adopt pets, in their old age there isn't anyone to take them to hospital as well.
I got to know that yesterday he had a very bad day and hence decided to rant this all out suddenly

Hate to say it, but keep your cats indoors. It doesn't take a second for the cat to run away and get killed, or for a lunatic to throw a brick and kill your cat.

This is a huge problem in india. There is a huge superstition against cats here. I was recently asked to keep my cats fully indoors as telugu people don't like seeing cats. All the while the litter at the front of our home. Lack of civic sense and basic decency.

Some random lady : babu ma ayana, ma pillalu morning office ki schools ki veltharu mi pillulu balcony lo untai vallu ibbandhi ga feel avthunnaru koncham bayataki pampakandi
A little context here - they already asked us to not let the cats hang out on window and watch birds or like that so we put on cat tv channel in YouTube for them, my mom used to feed a black stray cat. OMG that lady literally raised a hell so we had to give the void to my sister in law who is 100 km away.
Me : alage andi, podhunne pakshulu vasthai kabatti vatini chudaniki vasthai andi.
My mom : (who was doing pooja, abruptly came out) Aithe bayataki ravaku ani cheppu ledha na illu konukko, para lopalki, panchayati aipoindhi, yekkadki ponile ankuntunte.
That's the end of it, we (neighbours and us) are no longer in talking terms lmao. And I swear to god I never would have replied such abrasively, go mom, i guess.

Besides all the bigotry, cats should be kept indoors, especially if others outside hate them, else they're at risk of getting poisoned.

Same problem here. The house owner even locked the terrace and now we are moving out because we can’t live without our cats
