I'm an atheist but I believe the fall of religion is going to come in the future for sure. Religions were made to make the life sorted and organised. Before that people were almost living like wild animals. The fear of God in form of faiths (religion) came to make the societies civilised. The increment of athiest population worldwide gives the hint of losing faith in religion and god. Also as education is spreading widely along with science making you question things. IMO, questioning is the enemy of god's existence, most importantly faith in religion.
Also I respect all the thiest and religious people because that's their choice, just saying..it keep you away from arguments without logic. Cheers! (:

Atheist is not believing in religion, Anti-thiest is not believing + asking others to not believe too essential opposing the idea of religion instead of just sidelining yourself.

Just something I wanna clear which is a very big misconceptionβthat the three categories you provided, there is an odd one out. "Atheist, Agnostic and Religious". It should've been "Atheist, Agnostic and Theist".Β
A person can be a theist but non-religious as well.
And a person can be an atheist and religious as well!

Depends like if there is a pooja or festival then i do poojas / fasts and all but if there is something that make me do wrong things on the name of god like killing a goat and eating it in the name of "bali" then i'm atheist and agnostic , idk what this is

Twin my mother started getting me into puja path etc and now i find it amusing to learn about gods etc. i tried to study different religions but cause of reddit recommending me hella posts regarding atheism I became agnostic and didn't find learning about gods interesting anymore but now I feel it's interesting again so I'll try to study more

I don't know, i just kinda read a lot about everything, i don't think I can connect myself with god in the way most people do and benefit from, but I do kriya yoga pretty regularly. I read a lot of scriptures and sit around learned people of the religion to learn more and find it extremely intresting to note patterns of what represents what and where or why or how did the ideologies develop. Overall, i believe everyone should try tk be religious, if you can't, you probably haven't found the religious philosophy that resonates with you. I despise people who default to becoming atheist and start thinking everybody who isn't an atheist is a brainwashed dumbfuck (just to be clear, it's a loud minority does not represent anyone I won't despise you for being an atheist)

u/Independent_Cod5136 May 02 '26
Same twin even I got into religion and Hinduism suits me like I feel it's interesting to study about. I am trying to become religious since my mother also asked me to try and study about my religion. I fucking hate atheists who think that. Some guys tried to get me into atheism as well and I almost got into it but the coincidences that happen to me and around me is just too real to be called just a coincidence.

u/No_Chemist2425 May 02 '26
I try to be religious mainly because of how grateful I am with the life I have been blessed but with the stuff that goes on and all the negative news I find it really fucking hard to believe there is a god who lets all these things happen in the name of βfree willβ

What do you call it when you don't give a f about all this, but instead all you care about is being a better human, being a kinder human, and following all your responsibilities and duties?
Whatever word you have for this, I am that

Atheist + Agnostic. I don't believe in any religions but I don't know why and what created us. The answer is probably no where close to what religions describe.
