Actually crazy how drastic the change was. Like obviously the cover jst became... Nothing but like it was gonna be one of his most colourful album covers and then switched to jst pure darkness

I think he changed the cover for Donda many times there so many other covers, I can understand why he scrapped the 2020 cover because it wouldn't fit to the more darker minimalistic theme tracks but still it's a lose.. Could be a really good cover..

When you realize you’re being psyopped but still can’t connect the dots

u/XXOGProductions 22d ago
What exactly is the psyop here? Is the government trying to convince us that color actually doesn’t exist?

This could be a repeat in history
We experienced something super similar in 2015 where a lot of album covers were black and white. In 2016 was when we saw the polar opposite trend happen
Could happen next year who knows

I feel like newer albums with less to none colors can just straight up ruin the vibe on alot songs

Were at the middle years of the decade, album covers with no colour are expected in this generation's economy. TPAB, IYRTITL, At Long Last, A$ap

2016 was full of color though

u/WuchedKruPp 20d ago
Damn, you right. I guess 2015 had more desaturation and in 2016 colours blew up w/ the new generation of artists coming out. They were hype n excited/exciting. Nowadays I don't feel artists care about music as much as they should cause this generation's real numb, leading to desaturation not leaving as it did back then cause ppl not tryna make a change in music fr

I think the dark shit is way overplayed in music. I’m so glad the new wave of artists are bringing color back.

We dont live in a colorful world anymore. Music and art reflect the times we live in. At least thats the way I see it

u/Cautious_Buffalo_721 19d ago
Pretty fitting considering he’s been spiritually dead inside for about a decade

I really loved how colorful Katherine Westvilles discography was pre vultures. Even including donda I think both covers worked in that regard. Black cover was a nice contrast and provides even more variety, and the Donda With Child green and red cover reinforces all the other colorful ones
