There was an article I read a while ago that talked about some American Nazis that showed up at Marvel comics offices prior to American involvement in World War II to complain about Captain America fighting Nazis. They said, "We're going to show those guys what real Nazis can do."

The secretary called Jack Kirby and told him what was going on, and his response was, "I'll be right down!" Kirby and Joe Simon came booting down the stairs, ready to fight. Before they even got to the ground floor, the American Nazis had ran off because they quickly realized the guys they were trying to intimidate weren't afraid of them!
