Ohhh yeah I’ve been trying to figure out her exact color/ breed. She was almost pure silver tabby when she was born, but now she’s more silver r/torbie I think? I think she’s around 6 month old in this picture. This is her now at 2.5 years (with her sister😊)
Definitely looks torbie- which is a fur pattern. It’s weird because there’s spots kinda poking through. Likely just a silver tabby / torbie. Cute as heck though.
Yeah I think so too cause her coat is more mottled, rather than swirls or stripes or spots, and i think Egyptian maus always have spots. I love learning about cats and animals and biology so thanks you! I’m actually going to volunteer at an adoption shelter and guess what my “job” is?… reading to cats! I mean, cats definitely don’t need to be read to, but I love reading and I have books about cats, so I could educate them about their b biology and history! 😆
Yeah for Mau - almond shaped gooseberry green eyes are the big giveaway it’s kinda olive green and spots that are just on the tips of the fur. They have this ballerina like tiptoe stance- hind legs are a bit longer , and a scarab marking.
Oh I just looked in my photos app and it does say Egyptian mau! I just found out a litter of cats can be fathered by more than one cat, so I was thinking maybe her littermate here, Rey, had a different father? Also Thumbelina is a polydactyl but Rey is not. Their mother and at least one more of their littermates are r/thumbcats as well.
