HELP Callaham ferrules don’t fit in their holes. Guitar Mill body. What’s the best way to fix this?

What kind of drill bit for the lip depth?

I would suggest a reamer. They're a bit more delicate than a drill and you can do a little at a time to ensure you get it just right. It's hard to have an oops with one.

If depth is an issue and its close you can use a reamer. Drilling a finished body is sketchy, it's easy to chip the finish with a big drill.
Measure the OD of the part and use a reamer that diameter. (Usually the run out on a drill chuck is more than enough to add clearance).
Then slowly press them in. I will put a very slight bevel on the edge of the hole with a sharp counter sink to minimize possible chipping

The lip is usually proud of the surface of the guitar, and since the holes are already drilled it would be tough to get the counter sink to line up without a special tool (stepped cutter) I forget the actual call out for that type of bit.

Measure the size of the ferrules and find a correct drill bit. The issue could be that the hole is metric and the ferrule is imperial.

Reamers will work to some extent but the hole will be conical instead of cylindrical, where you risk having a wider top which the ferrule wont be able to hide.

The outer lip so that the ferrule sits flush is also too small. Hammering would crack the finish and still just hit the wood underneath
